00:02Hi how are you guys? Good, I'm Athena. Nice to meet you guys. I was sitting next to your
00:08daughter in the crowd. She was so brave and asked a question. How did you feel? Were you so proud
00:14of her? So proud. Yeah, we have raised her to know that she is of worth. She can take up
00:19space and
00:20use her voice at any age as long as she's respectful. So we're very proud of her. Yeah.
00:25You guys are definitely raising her with the right values. Yeah, she is our whole heart and so
00:33to see her, as Steph said, take up space and use her voice to feel like she needed to be
00:39heard
00:39and then elicit such beautiful stories from each of the guest artists. It was a proud moment, yeah.
00:47So why is it so important for the music industry to give back? This is benefiting some incredible
00:52charities. Why is that so important for this industry? Well when we heard it was going toward
00:56women and children, that speaks to us a lot, going back to being a mother. I had a friend that
01:01came
01:01to me and said, now that you're a mom, there's no such thing as other people's children. And so that's
01:07how I like to walk through the world and whether that's extra snacks or a sweatshirt or keeping them
01:11safe. But being given this talent and knowing that I want to be of service when I use my voice,
01:19when it can lift up, when it can amplify causes such as this, when those two can marry each other,
01:26it is sort of the perfect opportunity to both sing, use art, and do a little good in the world,
01:32you know?
01:34Yes, coming together in a moment like this, the grandeur of the space and the choir and
01:41the majesty of the evening is one thing, but the heart of it is being in service and raising money
01:49for these three amazing causes and charities and feeling like you're a part of Inspiring Hope. I think
01:58the concert is aptly named. We certainly need that, some desperately. And so to be a tiny,
02:08tiny part of being able to further that message and actually raise money that will go in service of
02:16people deeply in need is as worthy a cause as there can be.
02:21Well, thank you guys both so much. Congratulations on all your success and have so much fun tonight.
02:26We will. Thank you, Athena. Thank you. Thank you.
02:28Thank you guys.
