00:00if you're shooting in the 90s you'll be averaging around 225 yards off the tee breaking down into
00:06the 80s and you're up to 236 yards so it's not a massive increase just 11 yards and that can
00:12really
00:13help your scoring but adam how do we find those extra yards off the tee a lot of golfers are
00:19trying too hard to control the direction of their driver and actually robs them of speed now we need
00:26the club head to be moving at maximum speed throughout the shot and what i see a lot of
00:31golfers do is pull the handle through to try and steer the face and keep the face straight
00:37now what that does is all the time i'm pulling on the handle the head is lagging behind it's not
00:44actually getting the full extent of the energy into the golf ball so we really need to feel the club
00:50release and the way i like to describe it to my players is allow the club head to win the
00:56race
00:57back to the ball so we don't want the handle to be a head like we do maybe with an
01:02iron we want the
01:03club head to come through release past and think of it as the last part of a whip where we're
01:10trying to
01:11create that real swoosh at the bottom and get all the energy into the club head to create more club
01:16speed and more ball speed
