00:29because of the work which service plan does but initially i want to ask you about the reason
00:34why we're here the award which took place last night you're the brainchild essentially behind
00:40that what made you come up with the idea and why now um i believe very much that marketing is
00:46more
00:46important than ever yeah several factors contributing to it one of them is that we are
00:52now under control of the whole customer journey it's getting more complex with data technology
00:59marketing creativity mixing so there's different factors which indicating that marketing is more
01:04important the thing is just it's a well-kept secret here when you talk to cfos or ceos very often
01:09they
01:09have an old picture of marketing in their minds which is about funny pictures visuals and whatever
01:15and this well-kept secret needs to be lifted yeah um and i think with lego miss golding actually we
01:22have found um somebody where you can obviously say that marketing moves a big company you mentioned
01:30there that part of your intention was to share the secrets of the industry but did you not come
01:34up against any opposition from those who would rather keep you know the dark hearts hidden no i think
01:40honestly speaking i'm um there is these type of people yeah i'm i'm i'm to be honest i'm different i
01:45always think that if we understand uh what works and what does not work and if we share these
01:50learnings then we as an industry become more effective and we become better and we learn from
01:56each other um i think openness is more successful than keeping a secret for yourself uh in the end of
02:05the day yeah more broadly in these times now where artificial intelligence is you know posing
02:10challenges and opportunities as well at the same time in so many sectors how do you see that affecting
02:16the role of cmos i think um in the end of the day ai is going to make us more
02:24powerful yeah it will make
02:26us better one of the issues which i currently see in the discussion of ai particularly germanica
02:31environment yeah is that everybody's discussing about how to cut costs how to reduce how uh how to
02:40make things more efficient in the end of the day i personally think that ai will lead us to be
02:47more
02:47effective to be stronger to get better creativity more personalized um approach of of people and i
02:56think that's something which we should we should more put put up front here okay so you know as we're
03:02not
03:02even 24 hours after the inaugural event i know you're an extremely ambitious man where do you see the
03:08awards and how do you see it evolving over the next you know three to five years well we have
03:13just
03:13started with it now the european cmo honestly speaking i would love to make this the flagship
03:18event which we uh which we have i think can is a perfect uh is a perfect uh place to
03:24do it because
03:24a lot of european marketeers come here let's see if we do the same thing for us marketing uh in
03:33the uh in the
03:34midterm but uh the end of the day let's just go the way now yeah thanks very much for taking
