00:00Can you talk about using a, did you use a VHS camera and how that worked in kind of using
00:04them both?
00:05It's, it's, I'm sure, you know, avid AV fans are probably going to have thoughts about, you know, the realism
00:12of this.
00:13And I think as I talk about the length of this project, like trying to get so many things accurate,
00:18and I'm usually such a stickler for like technical accuracy.
00:21Um, I would say, uh, when it came to the look of the camcorder footage, we, we, we were sort
00:27of operating from a, uh, I think, I think given the ambiguity of not identifying the exact, uh, body of
00:34the camera,
00:35sort of working from a, we had some wiggle room to define the look ourselves.
00:40Um, and there's some information regarding like the way that it looks like this tape has probably been copied and
00:45digitized at some point in time that you can maybe drive a little bit of narrative information from.
00:49So there's a few parameters that we were able to tweak outside of the simple context of like what camera
00:55did they physically use?
00:56Uh, cause, cause we didn't shoot it on, on, we, we shot it on a proper cinema camera, but, um,
01:01in like the shot where Bobby's holding it and turns to the side is more of like a optical illusion
01:06where we, we had the, uh, Jeremy was camera operating right off frame.
01:10And, and so we like get a switch off right there.
01:12So, uh, the, the real camera is right out of right at the angle where you can't see it.
01:16So it looks like he's using the, uh, the, the proper handy cam.
01:20Um, but, but, but, but really, I feel like it's, you know, like, I think we go hard on the
01:26interlacing for a sort of, uh, there's a few things we wanted to look at to sort of sharpen the
01:30image and make sure that we are, we have enough clarity when we're blowing up the image on such a
01:35big screen.
01:35Um, and also, you know, we were assessing for like, is this going to be motion sickness inducing and whatnot?
01:41Like, uh, but, but, but really the process kind of became pretty similar to what I've been doing for a
01:46long time on YouTube.
01:46So, uh, in a lot of ways, it's the, it's the exact same process.
01:49We were running it through the same VCR and, and doing all the same, uh, you know, distortion techniques for,
01:55for specific moments.
01:56So it's, uh, very similar in that regard.
01:58So, uh, very similar in that regard.
