00:00Big Daddy was a big one for us.
00:03Wedding singer.
00:03Wedding singer.
00:04Why are you laughing?
00:07He's just so happy on my side.
00:11My kids got me.
00:12It's Sandra's birthday today.
00:14Hold the fire by the way.
00:15Hold the fire. Let me get a pad off.
00:17That's tight. Same man.
00:22It mostly takes place in New York City's Diamond District
00:25and it follows a guy named Howard Ratner,
00:27who's a jeweler.
00:28Kind of an old world jeweler.
00:29Big dreamers trying to flip destiny on its head
00:31and he's a romantic gambler and he's
00:33basically aligned all these things
00:35over the course of 17 months
00:37to kind of hit the big one.
00:39It was amazing to kind of come together and
00:41all of us to work together was just
00:44He didn't want to let you guys down.
00:46None of us did. None of us did.
00:48We know we all love your work.
00:50That makes you
00:51want to work extra hard
00:53and just knowing the opportunity was as good
00:55as it was and the script was as good as it was
00:58and seeing what these guys have done
01:00in the past, everybody was a part
01:02of the movie just knew
01:05it had an exceptional potential, right?
01:08To play his wife.
01:10Yeah, we did. We did have fun.
01:11It was just fun and
01:14you know, I've been working hard to be a part
01:15of something that's special like this
01:17and to have someone as generous and
01:19as talented kind of
01:21throwing the ball back and forth with me
01:23was just all you can really ask for.
01:25Is acting something you're going to
01:26aggressively pursue more or was it just this
01:29specific project?
01:30No, just this.
01:34And only this.
01:35I didn't think it was too difficult to play
01:37myself.
01:40They made everything very relaxing.
01:41I think Adam raised everybody's
01:44capabilities or what that norm was
01:46to another level and I like to think
01:48that I was a part of that.
01:49Julia was unbelievable in the movie.
01:52Lakeith was unbelievable, Adam.
01:53Everybody that was part of this
01:55just upped the ante on everything for me
01:57so I felt very comfortable with who I was playing.
02:00He's definitely going to act again.
02:02Yeah, he should. He should.
02:03I hope so Bill in next time though, you know what I'm saying?
02:05He was.
02:06You guys are sort of known for street casting and adding in
02:09actors who haven't acted before
02:11so I'm curious, Lakeith
02:13and Julia, what was it like to perform
02:15when you're surrounded by people who are
02:16sort of newer to this world?
02:18Especially in New York, they'd be like,
02:20I haven't seen a whole bunch of shit, what is this?
02:22And so it just creates a
02:24level of rawness or a feeling
02:27of rawness when you come on set, which I think is dope.
02:29And it's worth like saying
02:31cut and the motherfuckers don't stop.
02:32Oh yeah.
02:33Just like, you're like, what? Cut, huh?
02:36Yeah, yeah.
02:37People that were in the movie are like people
02:40that have worked in the Diamond District
02:41their whole lives, you know, that really put in work
02:44and to see them like immortalized
02:46in a movie, like they were so happy
02:48that they finally got recognized
02:49for, you know, for being these staples
02:52and just icons.
02:54I guess they were consultants.
02:56Yeah, absolutely.
02:57And they were really important.
02:59And they were blingin', baby.
03:01They were.
03:05If they were.
03:05They were.
03:05They were.
03:07I guess they were.
