00:00They came for the point that would secure qualification and they got it with a brilliantly
00:05disciplined defensive performance. And it's why, to be fair, while I think we can be critical of
00:11England, for a lot of the country it just feels a kind of a bit of a regression, a step
00:16back,
00:16especially after all the excitement of last week, a lot of discussion about how it was different to
00:20Southgate. And instead this actually is the fourth tournament in a row where England have followed
00:25an opening win with a dull draw in the next game, usually nil all. I think this was more down
00:31to
00:32Ghana rather than what England are. And look, that's not to say there aren't concerns for England,
00:36even we said it after the first game, so much of it was so impressive, but it was very far
00:40from
00:41flawless, a lot of caveats. But Ghana were absolutely superb here. It just made life very, very difficult
00:46for Tuchel's team. And it's interesting after the game, because I suppose maybe a lot of the response
00:51was a bit downbeat. Most of the commentary was about how dull the game was. But Tuchel,
00:56interestingly, he was pretty sanguine about it. He was talking about how he expected that just
00:59because of how a Carlos Keraj team lines out. And this was Carlos Keraj's 15th match that he's
01:06overseen in the World Cup. And he's had eight clean sheets. You know what you're going to get
01:10from a Carlos Keraj opposition, and it's about trying to break it down. And it's a difficult job,
01:15it's always going to be an absolute slog of a game.
