A frightening incident at Six Flags Over Georgia left riders suspended nearly 260 feet above the ground after the SkyScreamer ride unexpectedly stopped mid-operation. Passengers, including children, were stranded in the air for around 10 minutes, with many reportedly crying, panicking and praying as they waited for help. Witnesses described the experience as terrifying, with some fearing for their safety while the ride remained motionless. Park officials later said the interruption was caused by a technical delay and emphasized that the ride’s safety systems functioned properly. All riders were eventually brought down safely, and no injuries were reported.
