00:21starring Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Dustin Hoffman.
00:24And of course, Gerwig last directed Lady Bird.
00:34A Barbie live-action feature has been in the works since 2018,
00:37and has always attracted big names.
00:39The film first had Amy Schumer attached to star, followed by Anne Hathaway.
00:43And when Barbie moved her Malibu dream house from Sony to Warner Brothers late last year,
00:47Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins was even circling the project.
00:50But nothing was ever formalized.
00:52Gerwig and Baumbach are an outside-of-the-box choice,
00:54but it shows that the studios and producers are committed to trying to make something with a unique voice.
00:58Robby is starring in the feature and is also producing the project.
