00:22And the Asurs had become very powerful by that time.
00:25And they said, we have all the great and precious things in our lavish treasure.
00:31And she looks like the most beautiful woman.
00:33So she should also be a part of her treasure.
00:36And Devi plays innocent.
00:38Says, somebody who can defeat me, can take me as wife.
00:41And when they come to defeat her, she slaps the life out of them.
00:45Devi is annihilating them just by slapping them.
00:47They come and there's one tight slap.
00:49One more tight slap.
00:50And they are all gone.

00:54Towards the end, when all the demons are gone, finished, killed.
00:58It says that the effect is that the skies have cleared.
01:03The air is fine, unpolluted, light.
01:07The rivers are flowing freely.
01:09Sunlight is now raining as it should.
01:13And everything has attained its proper place in the universe.

01:18You look at the modern man's tendency to eat away at nature, to destroy nature, to subjugate nature, to dam
01:28the rivers, to clear the forests, to dig holes and mines and excavate and fossil fuels.
01:35And release carbon dioxide into atmosphere and wipe out entire species and everything that is possible.
01:43We are destroying the nature.
01:44And that's the characteristic of the demons.
01:47So that's who the Devi is.
01:48And the entire scripture exists to warn against the indiscreet exploitation of nature.
01:56And that's why the scripture is very, very relevant today.
01:59Very relevant in the age of the climate crisis.
02:02If you mess with nature, there is no way you will be spared because this nature itself is Devi.
