00:00We keep on going with our prospect segment arm.
00:02Who else you got?
00:03Josiah Hartshorn, the Cubs prospect.
00:07I think we've talked about him maybe once here in the past,
00:09obviously plenty on the call up.
00:11This was a sixth round pick in 2025, but by the Cubs,
00:17they gave him over slot money.
00:18And I think it's looking real good young for the class.
00:21He's 19 years old until February.
00:23And this guy has not missed a beat switch hitter.
00:26Love the swing from both sides of the plate.
00:28And the guy that went from these advanced approach guys that go from low
00:32A to high A.
00:33It doesn't surprise me when they kick it into another gear at high A,
00:38because you have maybe the approach being rewarded more,
00:42not expanding as much.
00:44I think that's a really huge development for like guys.
00:47Typically they'll talk about like the advanced approaches.
00:50It's sometimes going to be more difficult to hit at the low A level because
00:52of the wildness of, of the stuff that they're seeing guys,
00:57not really pitching to what their approach would tell them that it will.
01:00So at high A, I don't think it's coincidence that in 24 games,
01:03you've seen Hartshorn hit eight homers.
01:05He's hitting three 49 with a one 67 WRC plus at the high A level,
01:09because now his selectivity and his advanced approach is actually being
01:12rewarded more.
01:13Three Oh two,
01:14four 21,
01:15five 59 slash line on the season,
01:1713 homers and 63 games at one 55 WRC plus.
01:20He was already well inside of our top 100 list.
01:22And he's going to keep flying up there a corner outfielder that I think has
01:25really good ingredients as well.
01:28And then I got a shout out.
01:29I'm sorry.
01:30A Dodger.
01:32And then one more cub.
01:32I'll go cub first.
01:33Owen Ayers has been one of my favorite stories.
01:3625 years old drafted in the 19th round in 2024 out of Marshall sent for
01:41$50,000.
01:43He is one of the older prospects.
01:45You talk about whether there ever be a top 100 guy.
01:46That's like river Ryan's age.
01:48This might be the guy.
01:49This might be the guy because we have a switch hitting catcher with plus
01:53power,
01:53a plus arm.
01:55That's just clearly a late bloomer.
01:56And this year in the Southern league in double a 12 homers in,
02:00in 48 games.
02:01He's a one 66 WRC plus he's throwing out runners.
02:05And the swing looks great.
02:07There's some swing and miss in there,
02:08but I think his swing is built to slug consistently.
02:10The EVs are impressive.
02:12The fact that he can stick behind the dish very late bloomer.
02:15But if you're giving me above average power,
02:18above average defense behind the dish as a switch hitting catcher with some
02:21patients in the box,
02:21like it's a guy that could be a multi-win player very easily.
02:24And then the last is Jose DePaulo Dodgers prospect.
02:28Look,
02:28I know people are going to say,
02:29Oh,
02:29Dodgers prospects get too much love,
02:31blah,
02:31blah,
02:31blah,
02:31blah,
02:31blah.
02:31Jose DePaulo might not be getting enough love.
02:33I was hard on him going into the year.
02:35I had some concerns about swing and miss against spin.
02:37He has completely calmed those concerns.
02:40He's got an OPS over 900 against spin and fastballs.
02:43He's turned 21,
02:4430 days ago.
02:45And the guy is,
02:46has a one 56 WRC plus in double a,
02:49searching three 21,
02:50four 21,
02:51five 57,
02:5213 homers.
02:52He's also 19 for 23 in the stolen base department.
02:56He made some adjustments to be able to stay back longer.
02:58And now he's just living in the zone forever.
03:00This is a really fun blend of hit and power.
03:03And a guy that's going to be a big piece of,
03:05I think that the Dodgers future.
03:06We talked about the log jam in the Tulsa drillers outfield of DePaulo,
03:11Hope,
03:12Sirota.
03:12If Kendall George was healthy,
03:14you had too many outfielders to have a double a right now.
03:17And you're already got,
03:18you're already paying Kyle Tucker 60 million a year for the next four
03:21years.
03:22You already have Pajas in center.
03:23Teoscar Hernandez on an expiring deal.
03:25So naturally one of those guys probably going to be the answer in the
03:28corner outfield moving forward.
