00:07you know, five months ago, the criticism was that the state was not even engaged. Right. That's no longer true.
00:12There's a House proposal sitting in the Senate. There's a Senate proposal sitting in the House. And now we, you
00:17know, we need to hear from the Bears. The Bears are very clear with us that they want property tax
00:22certainty in the House passed a bill that gave them that.
00:24Then the Senate went a step further and passed a bill that took a that wiped out property taxes altogether.
00:31I think what the Bears are figuring it out, figuring out now is that they have to be more hands
00:35on in the conversation and give more details. You can't just say we want property tax certainty. And when you
00:40get it, you say that's not enough. Right.
00:43It's like saying you want a quarterback because you don't have one. And you expect that you get Sid Luckman
00:48or Taylor Williams, but instead you get Kay McNown or Rusty Fish or somebody.
00:52Right. We got to hear from them about the specifics. And so, I mean, I and I hear what you're
00:58saying about the kind of the back and forth.
01:00But this is really par for the course when it comes to the stadium conversations, right? When you look at
01:07the Vikings, Kevin Warren's old team, they looked at multiple sites, including downtown options and suburban options before they ended
01:16up where they are.
01:17They had a full development agreement in Arden Hills. The Will family bought the Old Star Tribune site for their
01:23stadium, which is in a different spot than it is today.
01:26Blaine, Minnesota was a focus at one point. Shakopee, Minnesota was another site.
01:31And they ended up asking, asking, asking all those plans and building on an old Metro Dome site. Right.
01:37That's a part of how this works. The Raiders had Oakland and Los Angeles and San Antonio conversations before they
01:42decided on Las Vegas.
01:43And so I do empathize with the folks in Hammond. I hope we can get past this and figure out
01:48what the way forward is.
