00:00Our new rom-com is called Voicemails for Isabel.
00:02And you might be wondering, what is a voicemail?
00:06It's a fair question.
00:07There was a time, long ago, when calling someone was somewhat socially acceptable.
00:12A very long, long time ago.
00:15A voicemail is when you call someone, they ignore you, and then you talk to them anyway.
00:20And before voicemails lived in your phone, they lived in this godforsaken contraption.
00:24It's called an answering machine.
00:26Your landline would call this box, the box would record it, and sometimes even played
00:31it out loud so your whole family could listen.
00:32Good times.
00:33And once in a while, someone you loved would leave you a voicemail, and you'd save it forever.
00:38Here's how to leave a voicemail without crashing out.
00:40Step one, call them.
00:47They will not answer, and you'll hear, leave a message after the tone.
00:51Now, this is normally where you'd hang up, but not today.
00:54No.
00:55You've got this.
00:56Open your mouth and say literally anything besides, uh, okay, bye.
01:04Boom.
01:04That's how you do it.
01:05That's a voicemail.
01:06Our new movie, Voicemails for Isabel, is out now on Netflix.
01:10Check it out, and then call someone you love, and if they don't pick up, try leaving a message.
01:13And then you should probably text them to say that you did leave them a message, or they
01:17will never know.
01:18They'll literally never know.
01:19That's a voicemail.
