00:00I'm a fan of both teams.
00:01Yeah, me too, me too.
00:02Dragged and teased and everything that I'm hearing from the Knicks.
00:05It's the same thing that happened to Arsenal, obviously.
00:07Well, speaking of droughts, I am a die-hard New York Knicks fan.
00:12Oh, my gosh.
00:13Who just won their first NBA title, listen to this, since 1973.
00:1853 years.
00:19Wow.
00:19It has been 53 years.
00:21New York City has absolutely exploded its entire playoffs.
00:24And, of course, when they won, I'm not sure if you've seen all the celebrations.
00:26Oh, my God.
00:27I was listening to it.
00:27You know what I mean?
00:28So, as a football player, a football fan, how do you compare these Knicks celebrations
00:33to what you see in the football world?
00:34Obviously, with the Knicks, with the Knicks, 53 years.
00:3753 years.
00:38You know, being, like, dragged and teased and everything that I'm hearing from the Knicks.
00:42All of that.
00:42It's the same thing that happened to Arsenal, obviously, as we were 22 years.
00:44It's a relatable story, yeah.
00:45And so, I can imagine everything that they've been through to get to this point.
00:49So, the outpouring, it's like people said that we were being over the top without outpouring.
00:53Hundreds of thousands of people coming.
00:55Yeah.
00:55And even when we'd done it on the night when Bournemouth Drew was sitting.
00:58Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:59And we all went to the Emirates, 100,000, whatever it was.
01:01Yeah.
01:01That was because there was a feeling of relief.
01:06Yes.
01:06And rejoicing time.
01:07Relief.
01:08And so, I totally understood last night.
01:10That's why I had no problem.
01:11I was looking out my window.
01:12It was nice.
01:13The horns were going.
01:14Yeah.
01:14Everybody was singing the Knicks.
01:16Amazing.
01:16It's fantastic because some real fans who follow their team, and I'm sure there's Knicks fans
01:21who have been following them since that time.
01:23Oh, for sure.
01:23And are experiencing it now.
01:25There's generations of Arsenal fans now who have witnessed and experienced success,
01:30but there's a generation that hasn't.
01:32Yeah.
01:33I felt so happy for them because, remember, they were, it's like six and a half years in
01:37the making that they've been through it.
01:38For sure.
01:39They've gone through it, and I'm just glad that happened for them.
01:41Are you going to be around for the parade on Thursday?
01:44Probably, yeah, because, like, I'm here.
01:46You're going to have to be there.
01:47I'm here to the end of the World Cup.
01:47That might be crazier than the Arsenal parade.
01:49You know what?
01:49I feel like I'm going to, I need to get a good vantage point.
01:52Yeah.
01:52Because I just like to see the vast crowd.
01:53Yeah, it's going to be insane.
01:54Take it back to your career at Real Madrid.
01:57You won five different Champions Leagues.
02:00Several La Liga's.
02:01All those celebrations at Tivelles.
02:02How would you compare that to what you saw here in New York City after the Knicks won?
02:06Oh, it was...
02:07Madrid or the Knicks?
02:08Real Madrid or the Knicks?
02:09Nah.
02:11I'm a fan of both teams.
02:12Yeah, me too.
02:13Me too.
02:13I played for Real Madrid 16 years.
02:17So, the Knicks, because the Knicks is something new for me.
02:22It is.
02:23So, I was with Carmelo Anthony in the first game.
02:27Amazing.
02:28In the Madison Square.
02:29So, I'm very, very happy to be a big fan for the Knicks.
02:34You're going to be at the parade?
02:36Yeah.
02:36The parade?
02:36You think we're going to be there?
