00:00Liverpool and Everton players have had a great start to the World Cup for their countries.
00:07Both Cody Gatko and Virgil van Dijk played a role in the Netherlands draw to Japan with the Liverpool captain
00:15van Dijk scoring from a corner.
00:19Alexander Isak was also on hand to help Sweden defeat Tunisia 5-1.
00:24He scored and provided an assist for Victor Jocheres.
00:29Former left-back Andy Robertson, who still holds a dear place in the heart of many Liverpool fans, was part
00:35of a defence that kept a clean sheet against Haiti.
00:39And Mo Salah had a dominant game in Egypt's draw to one of the favourites, Belgium, as well.
00:47For Everton, No Star had a bigger game than Jordan Pickford.
00:52The Everton keeper was a little rusty at times but was good on the ball, made a couple of great
00:59saves in England's 4-2 victory over Croatia.
01:03Here's some reaction to that match with England getting their first win in the group stage.
01:08It was a great game, we started a little bit slow, trying to keep the ball too deep and then
01:13when we started to move the ball slightly higher pitch, played so much better football, started to press with a
01:18bit more pace.
01:19Second half, much better than the first half.
01:22Yeah, I agree, I agree with that.
01:23I think we dropped too deep when we didn't have the ball, I think we gave them too much of
01:26the ball when we didn't need to.
01:28And we let them, I think we let them come to advance, we need to push a lot higher up
01:31the pitch, I think, but if we do that we'll be fine.
01:33Our bench is excellent, the changes he makes, it's so, they look deadly, it looks like we can put any
01:38team out of the game really.
01:39We just need to finish some of them chances, we've missed so much, so many chances.
01:42And always got the chance of going all the way.
01:45Semi-finals minimum we should be looking at, when you play France-Spain, that's a 50-50 game, I mean
01:49you need a bit of luck and they're good teams.
01:51But I think we should beat everyone, we've got a pretty good run if we're in the group, so I
01:54think we should beat everyone up to that, at least the semi-finals and then, you know, as I say,
01:58it's a coin toss from there, but we've definitely got it in us.
02:01The open definitely helps, it's boiling out here, stepping out here you get a gust of it and you really
02:05feel it.
02:05But inside it was still warm but it's much better, much better than out here, it makes a massive difference.
02:11Very similar, just stay hydrated in the right ways.
02:14The beers are cold.
02:14The beers.
02:15I think it was a solid performance today, I think that was one of the best performances England's put in
02:19for, as long as I can think of it.
02:21Maybe five, five, ten years at least.
02:23They pass the ball around well, they look sharp.
02:25Rashford getting that goal at the end, he's definitely had a good run at Barcelona, so, love it.
02:30Do you think England possibly going all the way this time around?
02:34Yeah, hopefully, yeah.
02:35So premature, so premature.
02:38All the way, all the way.
02:42Years old, and I brought my sons to see my first England game.
02:45First in the last hour.
02:46Wow.
02:47How about that one?
02:49A 4-2 thriller.
02:50In the first half, we're like, oh my god.
02:52Yeah, I've had, no for Shrek, no for Shrek.
02:55I never gave up hope, I knew they could do it.
