00:00hi guys welcome back to another video today we're exploring the beautiful city of Phnom Penh here
00:05in Cambodia we're going to be heading down to Riverside it's meant to be an absolutely beautiful
00:10area and today we're filming on our brand new insta360 go ultra which i'm filming with right
00:16now as you can see it's a beautiful day here in Phnom Penh so let's go explore okay so today
00:21we're
00:22just shooting in regular video mode and we're going to be shooting in 4k at 60fps which is
00:29going to get some incredible shots before we head out to the Riverside we're going to go and get some
00:33breakfast from the buffet and honestly this is probably one of my favorite parts about this
00:38camera is the fact that you can detach the actual camera piece and attach it to the magnetic pendant
00:46so you get a point of view shot especially when you're in like a crowded place like a breakfast
00:51buffet at a hotel and you don't have everybody staring at you because you've got a camera in
00:56your hand and also it frees up both my hands so i can actually like use them and do a
01:01real
01:01point of view shot without having to hold a camera in my hand
01:08so the insta360 go ultra has fixed a lot of pain points for us when it comes to travel vlogging
01:14even though we've been doing it for four years we still get awkward filming in public so having a small
01:20sleek square unsuspecting camera honestly helps so much with that it's also a great all-in-one camera
01:26so if we only want to take one piece of equipment out with us for the day so we aren't
01:31carrying around
01:32a bunch of equipment or a large bulky camera then this is the one for that honestly it would have
01:38been
01:39the best beginner camera for us when we first started it's also elevated our experience for our viewers
01:45giving us high quality really unique shots that really add depth to our videos we'll show you what
01:50we mean just driving the tuk-tuk down to riverside and apart from getting just the pov shots with the
01:57pendant you can get really cool unique shots sticking it anywhere this tuk-tuk's obviously made out of
02:02metal so we can get shots from like up here which shows all of us in the tuk-tuk or
02:10i can put it to the
02:11side here i could put it here
02:18or i can stick it to the top which we'll do on the way down there so you can get
02:22all these different
02:23shots of us driving the tuk-tuk which is really handy
02:48so
03:06okay so we've tried a lot of different cameras over the last four years actually this canon which is
03:14around my neck has been kind of our main go-to camera but as you can see like it's super
03:22bulky
03:22like look at the size of just the microphone on here it does get good quality audio and video but
03:29there's a lot of times where we just don't even really want to take it out because we don't think
03:33we're going to be filming and then something happens and we wish we had it on us whereas
03:38with the insta360 go ultra it's so small it only weighs 53 grams and we can just fit it into
03:46like
03:46our pocket or a handbag or whatever so even if we're out and about and we don't plan on filming
03:52we can just whip it out and start filming instantly
04:00also a lot of the times when we do head out for filming it's like a full day of filming
04:06for us so
04:07battery life is super important and this camera has 200 minutes of runtime which is absolutely plenty
04:13for us or if you're using it without the charging pod so you're taking it off and you're putting it
04:18on
04:19the pendant or whatever it is then you can get up to 70 minutes which again is plenty
04:30so for an example this is a really unique shot because it's actually just connected to this power
04:36pole here whereas usually i wouldn't be able to put the camera at this eye level and have all of
04:43this
04:43stuff going on in the background and like there's plenty of people around but no one really notices
04:49that i'm even filming i'll probably look a bit weird talking to a power pole but i think it's just
04:54such a unique angle and shot that you can get uh that we usually wouldn't be able to do with
04:59our
04:59regular camera so here's an example of one of our scene setting shots
05:48hello open yeah okay
06:10so we've also got this two-in-one tripod um which is really handy for doing like talking head
06:19content but also when we're out somewhere like this so we just stumbled across this cafe
06:24and we want to get like a wide angle establishing shot especially if there's not too many people
06:29around uh we can set the camera up a bit further away from us and get that establishing shot using
06:36the tripod and we can put it in like multiple different places and get multiple different shots
07:04so
07:05so this right here is a huge advantage lila in one hand i've got a backpack on with all of
07:09our stuff in it and i've got the camera
07:11attached to my backpack and i can be filming all at the same time thanks to the clip that can
07:16pretty much clip onto anything but it's really good for backpacks
07:19uh if i really wanted a cool show i could probably put it onto the top of my hat even
07:23though it look like a bit of a goober
07:25but it's really good for a backpack or a handbag or something like that and it's hands-free so i'm
07:31still filming right now
07:32so i'm still in the corner even though i've got lila to carry around all right we're just up at
07:36the rooftop pool at our hotel and i'm going to try out
07:41using the camera underwater so
07:44the important thing that you need to know is you can only use the camera piece underwater not the charging
07:50dock
07:51and you do have to have this uh
07:54camp this lens protector on in order for it to not get damaged and we'll see what
08:00the picture looks like there's actually like a little glass bottom to the pool
08:05here so probably get some cool shots I'm gonna take it in there
08:42all right we're just heading back down to the Riverside now it's like 530 so it's
08:48getting pretty close to sunset and we're just gonna switch the camera settings
08:52from video to pure video which will automatically make it better in low
08:58light and we'll see how that looks
09:48so
09:50okay so overall thoughts this is an awesome camera we've been using it
09:54pretty much every day since we got it and we're still trying to figure out all the
09:57best settings and I think we'll get better and better at it it just adds so
10:03much uniqueness and diversity to what we're able to do especially if you're
10:07somebody who vlogs but is a little bit shy then I'd say this camera is definitely
10:13for you a key thing to keep in mind as well if you're like us and you shoot a
10:17lot of content it's got a replaceable SD card so you can just switch the SD card
10:22out once you fill it up and use a new one so yeah let us know what you guys
