00:00DJI finally has some serious competition.
00:02Meet the Insta360 Luna vlogging camera.
00:04Luna comes in Pro and Ultra versions.
00:07This one is the dual lens Ultra,
00:08while the Pro features a single lens.
00:10That's the key difference between the two,
00:12and both are available in black or white versions,
00:14pricing to be confirmed.
00:16Like the Pro version, the Ultra features a one-times
00:19main wide-angle f1.8 lens with one-inch sensor.
00:22That's the largest sensor in an Insta360 yet,
00:25matching DJI, but it also adds a three-times telephoto camera.
00:28Users can punch in that telephoto camera
00:30for a six times lossless zoom,
00:32meaning that there should be no obvious
00:34degradation image quality,
00:36and up to 12 times with a digital zoom,
00:38a total of five zoom steps.
00:40Naturally, the Luna cameras are supported
00:41with three-axis gimbal stabilisation,
00:43like the Pocket cameras.
00:45And in another first for Insta360,
00:47they offer 10-bit colour depth and an iLog colour profile,
00:50again matching the specs of DJI Pocket,
00:52though which one has the better looking footage
00:54is another matter.
00:55All of the above suggests that Insta360
00:57is ready to go toe-to-toe with DJI's Pocket 4,
01:00and upcoming Pocket 4 respectively.
01:02In a vlogging camera market,
01:03the DJI has dominated for years,
01:05but that's not even the most exciting part about the Luna.
01:08The Luna has a modular design party treat
01:10that DJI wishes it had,
01:11a multifunction removable screen,
01:13and it's brilliant.
01:14You simply press in buttons on either side of the screen
01:16to release it from the camera body,
01:18and then you can see what the camera is seeing remotely,
01:21complete with record, zoom, and joystick controls.
01:23Here's where things get really clever.
01:25The Luna's removable screen features a built-in microphone,
01:28so you can use it to remotely view yourself,
01:30compose a shot, and present to camera.
01:32What's more, the Luna features subject tracking,
01:34so with a double tap on the screen of your intended subject,
01:37the camera will then track them,
01:38keeping them centred in the frame as they move about.
01:40Pair those features, a removable screen,
01:42with microphone and subject tracking,
01:44and you can truly be a one-person show,
01:46gaining the impression of a camera person tracking you
01:48as you walk around the scene.
01:49You will need to find a suitable surface to rest the camera body on,
01:52or mount it to a support.
01:53The removable screen is such a neat feature,
01:56especially for solo creators,
01:57but also handy when you're travelling with friends or family,
01:59and would like to take selfies.
02:01What makes the Luna even more compelling as a DJI pocket alternative,
02:04is that Insta360 has recently launched new accessories,
02:07take the Mic Pro Wireless Mic,
02:08which we awarded a maximum 5 out of 5 rating in our review.
02:12These excellent accessories mean you don't need to mix and match brands
02:14to get top quality video and audio.
02:16Insta360 now has its own complete ecosystem for vlogging.
02:20I'm excited to share more Luna details with you when the full embargo lifts,
02:23but what do you make of the features I've been able to share so far?
02:26Game-changer or gimmick?
02:27How does the Luna look compared to the DJI Pocket 4 series?
