As the department's oldest rookie, Nolan faces skepticism from his superiors and fellow officers, who doubt whether he can handle the challenges of police work.

Alongside fellow rookies Lucy Chen and Jackson West, Nolan must prove that age is not a limitation while learning to survive the dangerous and unpredictable streets of Los Angeles. Season 1 combines action, drama, humor, and emotional character development as the rookies struggle to balance personal lives with the demands of law enforcement.

00:05Shouldn't we be pulling them over for being on their phones?
00:08All of them?
00:09We'll be writing 23-1-20 tickets till judgment day.
00:1223-1-23.
00:14You tried to slip that past me.
00:1623-1-23 is the hands-free vehicle code.
00:20Congratulations.
00:21So what's 23-1-20?
00:24Driving while lost in...
00:27No driver should operate a motor vehicle while wearing glasses having a temple width of one-half inch or more
00:33if any part of said temple extends below the horizontal center of the lens so as to interfere with lateral
00:39vision.
00:40That's actually what I meant.
00:42Where's your book book?
00:43In my locker.
00:45It weighs four pounds. I was told I'd be fired if I lost it.
00:48You don't keep your gun in your locker, do you?
00:50You need to know the information in that book backwards and forwards. You should be studying it every chance you
00:55get.
00:55I do, every night.
00:56Mm-hmm.
00:57You don't believe me.
00:58New job, new city, newly single. Color me doubtful you're living a monastic life.
01:037 Adam-15, armed robbery in progress. 3577-0-0.
01:07Here we go.
01:22Get down, get down, fly on the ground. Face down.
01:25I got him, Boo. Get him.
01:28I got him.
01:30Hey!
01:33End of the way!
01:35Hold on.
01:36Show him in your hands.
01:39Take off that mask. Nice and slow.
01:43Hands behind your head. Interlace your fingers. Do not move.
01:54What's in the box, big fella?
01:57It's a urine sample for a drug test.
01:59If he got to the lab, then Bo would have violated his parole
02:01and gone back to prison for two years.
02:03So we boosted it.
02:05Well, now he's going away for longer.
02:07You steal that too?
02:08It was my dad's.
02:10I've been trying to work up the courage to propose,
02:12but what if he says no?
02:14The guy's all I can think about.
02:17He's a drug addict and an ex-con.
02:19I don't care.
02:21I love him.
02:25I love you, Bo Zogolowski.
02:28And I have since the moment that you hit on me at the zoo.
02:31And I want to spend the rest of my life with you,
02:34starting in two to five years.
02:38Will you marry me?
02:40Hell yeah.
02:48That's awesome.
02:54Okay.
02:55Okay, let's go.
02:59Yeah, I'm going to need that.
03:07That marriage is going to last forever,
03:10or play him out in five minutes.
03:12Either way, best proposal story ever.
03:16Okay, that's wonderful.
03:18But the question I asked was,
03:20in what circumstance can a firearm be discharged
03:23at a moving vehicle?
03:25Only if the person in the vehicle
03:27is immediately threatening an officer
03:28or another person with deadly force
03:30using something other than the vehicle.
03:32Yeah.
03:33I don't really have one.
03:35A good proposal story.
03:36Yeah, well, there's always next time.
03:40Not, uh, not with me.
03:42I just meant that.
03:43No, and I wasn't fishing.
03:44I was just oversharing.
03:45I mean, I, I, who knows
03:46if I'm even going to get married again.
03:48I mean, and this whole cop thing
03:49is a legendary relationship killer.
03:53So, we seem to be navigating it fairly well, aren't we?
04:01Yeah.
04:03Yeah.
04:04Uh, okay.
04:07List all descriptors needed for a firearm in a crime report.
04:11Officer Nolan.
04:12Yes?
04:13Can you focus?
04:14We need to study.
04:17What are the descriptors of a firearm?
04:19A serial number, maker's name, model,
04:22caliber or gauge, color of metal,
04:27length of barrel.
04:30Yeah.
04:31Oh, yeah.
04:34Everyone have a seat.
04:38Today is a special day for our rookies.
04:41Because today, we switched things up.
04:46That's right.
04:47Everybody gets a new training officer.
04:51Nolan, you'll be riding with Officer Lopez.
04:53West, you'll be riding with Officer Bradford.
04:56And Chen.
04:57You'll be with Bishop.
05:00But learning how to navigate a new TO is not your only challenge.
05:04By the end of next shift, I expect every rookie
05:09to uncover something personal about their training officer.
05:15Something they don't want you to know.
05:17This will be a test of your investigative instincts
05:22and your fortitude.
05:25Best insight will win a day off.
05:27Worst one?
05:29Handle Saturday night cavity searches.
05:33That's it.
05:34Good luck.
05:39So what's Lopez like to ride with?
05:41Yeah.
05:41Look, I'm gonna give you a head start.
05:45Tim's gonna eat me alive, isn't he?
05:46You?
05:47No.
05:48You're a rock star.
05:49A legacy who excelled at the academy.
05:52If Tim could create a cop in a test tube, it would be you.
05:55Unless he's gonna set out to dominate you
05:57and prove that you aren't all that.
05:59Is it too late to change my answer?
06:01Because, uh, that.
06:02Oh, hey.
06:03What about Talia?
06:04Any tips on how to get on her good side?
06:06Oh, I'm sorry.
06:06Jackson's right.
06:07No head starts.
06:10Got it.
06:11Is this kid really a rock star?
06:13Jackson?
06:15Yeah, he's better prepared than any rookie I've ever had.
06:18Screw trap.
06:19How's he out on the street?
06:21So far, so good.
06:23What about Nolan?
06:26He's a talker.
06:28Oh.
06:29Uh, usually Officer Bishop has me drive.
06:32She feels it's a better way to evaluate how I...
06:34This is my shop I drive.
06:36Copy that.
06:38So?
06:39I was raised by a single mom.
06:41Everything I own was a hand-me-down for my four brothers.
06:43So I care about what I wear and how I look.
06:46Now you don't have to spend the next two days hunting for insight.
06:49I don't think that's how Sergeant Gray wanted me to gain insight.
06:52Are you a teacher's pet boot?
06:54Because I thought I was gonna get a change of pace with you.
06:57Uh, no, ma'am. Just looking to get the most out of the experience.
06:59Good.
07:00Because if I win you Gray's day off, you're gonna fix my garage door.
07:03I heard you were a contractor.
07:05Yeah, no, happy to help.
07:07Probably gonna need a little more than she likes nice clothes to win this thing.
07:11So where are we off to?
07:12Court.
07:12I have to testify on the trial.
07:14Should take a few hours.
07:15Quiet time.
07:16Starting now.
07:20This is gonna be a great day.
07:22I was glad when Sergeant Gray paired us up.
07:25You were?
07:26Yeah.
07:27Being a police officer is in your DNA.
07:30It's gonna be my privilege to-
07:32I've been shot!
07:33Where are you, boot?
07:34I'm bleeding to death.
07:35You have to call for help.
07:36Where are you?
07:37North Mansfield.
07:38Cross streets Beverly Boulevard.
07:40There's a medical center on 3rd street, but I would see that you were taken to Cedars.
07:43Better trauma center.
07:45And the best coffee in LA is two blocks down.
07:52So, all the stuff-
07:54The only thing that's gonna make me happy is breaking your spirit.
08:06Look, uh-
08:07Save it.
08:08But-
08:09I said save it.
08:11You're gonna risk your reputation and get it on with Nolan, that's your call.
08:15I only care if it impacts your performance.
08:19It won't.
08:20Good, then there's nothing left to talk about.
08:22And don't even think of looking for insight into me.
08:30Registration has expired on that tag.
08:32Call it in.
08:347 Adam 15, show us at a vehicle stop at Loma Linda and Fountain Blue Outback.
08:402 Sam Adam Mary 564.
08:437 Adam 15, that vehicle is suspected in a hit and run.
08:477 Adam 15, four occupants just bailed heading north and south.
08:51Get the driver, Booth!
08:52I'll cut him off!
08:54I'll use the car-
08:5520, three...
09:098 Adam 15, four occupants.
09:122 on a hit.
09:13223!
09:14253!
09:14265!
09:14255!
09:20265!
09:22266!
09:26What are you doing?
09:27I told you to get the driver.
09:29This guy was right here.
09:30Am I in trouble for catching a criminal?
09:31What was his crime?
09:32Who were your friends in the car?
09:34I never met him before.
09:35They just saw me walking and gave me a ride.
09:37Then why did you run?
09:38Because everyone else did.
09:40Did you find anything on him when you searched him?
09:42Driver's the only one we can legally tie to the vehicle.
09:45You should know that.
09:46Page 117 of your Rook book.
09:48Cut him loose.
09:52I've never been to the courthouse before.
09:54This is exciting.
09:56That feeling will pass.
09:57We caught this break and enter 10 months ago.
09:59Since then, it's been two preliminary hearings,
10:01two motions to suppress.
10:02It's endless.
10:03Hey, Lopez.
10:05Looking good.
10:06Thanks.
10:07How's your wife?
10:10This is the only place in L.A.
10:11where you can find all the law enforcement agencies together.
10:14LAPD, Highway Patrol, Sheriff's Department.
10:17Everyone acting like the top of the food chain.
10:22See that guy with the comb-over?
10:23They call him hot stuff.
10:25Know why?
10:27Nothing comes to mind.
10:28Because he somehow managed to get Sriracha in his eyes
10:31while he was driving.
10:32Ended up in Echo Park Lake.
10:35Oh, and that's Officer Davis.
10:37She collects American Girl dolls
10:39and uses them to recreate scenes for Fifty Shades.
10:42She's single, if you're wondering.
10:44How do you know all this?
10:45Ah, well, if you want to keep secrets,
10:47don't work on law enforcement.
10:56Had us attached to a raid.
10:58Figured you didn't get a round off the day I got shot,
11:00so you'd be itching to throw some bullets around.
11:05Detective Singh.
11:08Bradford, when are you going to make the jump out of patrol, huh?
11:10Never.
11:11I work for a living.
11:12Yeah.
11:15This Wes kit?
11:16Yes, sir.
11:17Jackson Wes.
11:18You ready to mix it up, son?
11:20Yes, sir.
11:21Good.
11:23We got a known gun runner two blocks up.
11:25We can pin at least three motor weapons on him.
11:27We're going to put eyeballs on his place,
11:29make sure he's home,
11:30and we're going hot.
11:33What's wrong with the big boys now, boot?
11:50Bless you.
12:26I'm concerned he's out!
12:28There's the wrong beliefs!
12:38Ah, police!
13:04Sorry! I tried to catch the guy.
13:06Well, now we gotta find him.
13:08Fugitive's name is Nestor Garcia.
13:09He's a mid-level drug dealer looking at 10 to 20 if he's convicted.
13:12Residence is in Boyle Heights.
13:14I volunteered us to check it out.
13:19Leave that in the locker next time.
13:21Officer Bishop suggested.
13:22Do I look like Officer Bishop?
13:24No.
13:24Grace, switch it up so you guys get a different perspective.
13:26Mine is, you do your homework at home.
13:31Heard you caught a bullet.
13:33Went right through me.
13:34Barely worth mentioning to you.
13:36This thing's been stabbed six times.
13:38Nine.
13:39It's a busy summer.
13:41I'll say.
13:43So, have you known Officer Bradford long?
13:45Don't answer that.
13:46Watch Commander's got him looking for insight into his T.O.
13:49Copy that.
13:50Well, my silence won't be cheap.
13:52You're not getting my Dodger tickets.
13:56One game.
13:58That's it.
14:10The gun runners are home.
14:12We're in business.
14:13Let's go gear up.
14:16Do you, uh, date comps?
14:19I'm not asking for, I mean, just trying to get some insight.
14:23You know, that, um, THP officer at the courthouse was hitting on you.
14:26It's not worth it.
14:27That guy can run around racking up trophies, but I get one cop and I get a rep.
14:30So, I fished in other pools.
14:34Nestor Garcia, police!
14:35Come out!
14:42What if we were to talk to the local merchants?
14:48All right.
14:50Hey.
14:50How much?
14:51A dollar.
14:53A little steep, but all right.
14:59Ooh.
15:00Didn't expect it to be so, uh, thick.
15:04You know the family next door?
15:06Sure.
15:07The dad's a drug dealer.
15:10My mom gets really talking when she has Chardonnay.
15:13You seen him around today?
15:14No.
15:15He's probably at the thing.
15:16What thing?
15:18Buy some more lemonade and I'll tell ya.
15:20Are you trying to extort a law enforcement officer?
15:23No.
15:24It's basic supply and demand.
15:25I have something you need, so I can set the price.
15:29He's just getting a quality education.
15:31Too bad he won't get the same one in juvenile detention.
15:33You got a permit for this lemonade stand?
15:39There he is.
15:40What's the party for again?
15:41His daughter's Quintanera.
15:44Fifteenth birthday.
15:45Oh.
15:45Sorry.
15:46We don't get a lot of those in rural Pennsylvania.
15:49It's fun.
15:52Oh.
15:53He escaped custody to share a dance with his daughter.
15:56That's kinda sweet.
15:58It's selfish.
15:59Cause now our memory of this is gonna be us arresting him in front of her entire family.
16:03He did it for himself, not her.
16:05That never occurred to me.
16:07That's because you had a dad who was around.
16:11Let me guess.
16:12Your dad was M.I.A.
16:14Show up when it's convenient.
16:15Bring a toy.
16:16Act like a savior.
16:18It was a stuffed animal.
16:20Last one he brought I fed to the garbage disposal.
16:23And then he got cancer.
16:32So, do we let him finish the dance?
16:35Of course.
16:37I'm not a monster.
16:54You told me to go after the driver and I deviated from your instruction.
16:58It won't happen again.
16:59Mm-hmm.
17:01You don't believe me.
17:03I believe you do what you want and you rationalize it after.
17:05I don't take your advice and then you punish me?
17:09How is that right?
17:10Boot, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what's happening here.
17:13So, enlighten me.
17:15Learning how to be a cop is the hardest thing you'll ever do.
17:18And instead of focusing everything you have on the task at hand, you split your focus to be with Nolan.
17:22And you risk losing it completely if you're ever found out.
17:25You think you're the first rookie to date a cop?
17:28This city is littered with the failed potential of rookies like you.
17:32With all due respect, ma'am, there are no other rookies like me.
17:35Don't fool yourself, Boot. They're all like you.
17:38And the only ones who make it through are the ones who take their job so serious that they put
17:43everything else aside.
17:54On your toes, Boot. These guys are armed for war.
17:59Don't look down, they'll run like hell.
18:17You just happen to have that on you?
18:18Of course not. My dad taught me to carry dog biscuits.
18:22I thought he was pulling my leg, but that just worked like gangbusters.
18:26You got me on the case.
18:30Police!
18:34Let's go!
18:39What's wrong? Are you hit?
18:44Clear!
18:45Clear here!
18:46Clear here!
18:47Two down inside.
18:49You guys okay?
18:55Yeah.
19:08So, uh, did you have a quinceañera?
19:10Of course.
19:10And I look good.
19:11Who did you dance with?
19:12Because you said a single mom.
19:14My abuelo.
19:16Her dad.
19:17Oh.
19:17He made me laugh the whole time.
19:18My mom was pissed.
19:23Lopez!
19:25Give us a minute.
19:26Why? What's going on?
19:27Just do it.
19:34The hell were you thinking letting me hit the streets with a broken rookie?
19:37He's not broken.
19:37He froze when the bullets started flying.
19:40You gonna tell me the same thing didn't happen with you the day I got shot?
19:43I thought I helped him get past it.
19:45Well, you didn't.
19:45And that was my problem.
19:47Not for long.
19:49Any idea what that's about?
19:52Me.
19:54What happened?
19:56I think I'm done.
19:58What?
19:59Yeah.
20:00I froze up when the shooting started.
20:03Same thing happened at the Selby shootout.
20:06But Lopez covered for me, so...
20:09Look, I don't know how to fix it.
20:13I have to fix it.
20:15I lied to Anderson to cover for the kid.
20:16If you out him, my career's over, too.
20:19Well, that was stupid.
20:27Look.
20:29I know just the neighborhood to take him to.
20:31He'll self-destruct by the end of the day.
20:33I'll catch him on my body cam.
20:34He'll be done.
20:34No one will know about you.
20:35His father's a commander at internal affairs.
20:38I don't care.
20:38Boot's a menace.
20:39This is exactly why I didn't tell you.
20:41You think Jackson's father won't blame you for the kid's failure?
20:44This is political whether you like it or not.
20:46What do we do?
20:46Leave him on the streets?
20:47Hope he doesn't get you killed?
20:48No.
20:52I don't know.
20:54He could be a good cop.
20:55He's smart.
20:56He has instincts he can't teach.
20:58There's potential.
20:58Screw potential.
21:00Tim.
21:01What are you gonna do?
21:04I don't know.
21:06Listen.
21:07You're gonna make it through this, okay?
21:09Lucia and I are gonna help you.
21:11Come.
21:12Walk away, Boot.
21:14Officer Bradburn.
21:15I gave you an order.
21:15Listen to me.
21:17He's worth fighting for.
21:18You and Lopez both know it.
21:247 Adam 15.
21:26Female juvenile reports being held against her will.
21:29Owens in Arlington.
21:30Code 3.
21:35What's going on?
21:36We got a call young girl since she was being held captive at this location.
21:39Are you kidding me?
21:41Sierra's holding us hostage.
21:42We're bleeding money every minute she won't come out of the trailer.
21:44We need to see her.
21:52LAPD, open up.
21:59Am I in trouble?
22:00Are you being held hostage?
22:02No.
22:03Then yeah, filing a false police report is kind of a crime.
22:07I'm sorry.
22:08I didn't know what else to do.
22:10I don't wanna be here anymore.
22:12I hate it.
22:13Is someone making you?
22:14I foster mom.
22:16She's an agent.
22:17She's been putting me out for things ever since I was placed with her.
22:20I just wanna be back with my real mom.
22:23But Alice won't even let me talk to her.
22:27Sierra, you okay?
22:28What happened?
22:30Let's talk over here.
22:31What?
22:34I don't understand.
22:36Is something wrong?
22:36She says you're making her do this.
22:39That's ridiculous.
22:40She agreed to try it.
22:42I'm just trying to teach her a sense of responsibility and a work ethic.
22:45I do that for all the kids I foster.
22:47Sarah also said you're keeping her from her birth mother?
22:50Her birth mother is an alcoholic who just got out of prison.
22:54She's in no position to care for that girl.
22:56All right, give your information to Officer Chen and we'll follow up with the state.
23:03All right.
23:05Here's my card.
23:06If you have a real problem, give me a call.
23:09Thanks.
23:12You're in no problem.
23:15I guess you were right about cops and secrets.
23:18Yeah, I should take my own advice.
23:19For what it's worth, you covering for Jackson was a stand-up thing to do.
23:23It was selfish, not noble.
23:25I did it to protect myself.
23:32Sir, I am more committed to this job than anyone you've ever trained.
23:35I'm gonna get past this.
23:37We ain't playing dress up here, boo.
23:40So what's the plan?
23:42Out me to Anderson?
23:44Drop me off in gang territory?
23:45What public execution?
23:48All I'm asking is that you try and fix me.
23:55Is that just throwing me away?
23:58I don't do lost causes.
24:02Now if I were you, I'd prepare for tomorrow to be your last day on the job.
24:15Hey, Jackson.
24:16It's me again.
24:19Um...
24:19Just calling to see if you're all right, buddy.
24:20Just call me back, all right?
24:23Bye.
24:25Did you get him?
24:27No.
24:27I left another message.
24:31Tim won't throw Jackson under the bus.
24:33How can you even say that?
24:35All the guy does is torture you.
24:37He's calculating.
24:39Not cruel.
24:41Plus, he's got a massive ego.
24:43He'll probably take it as a challenge to his abilities as a TO.
24:47I hope you're right.
24:50You're right.
24:51Um...
24:52I have something to tell you.
24:58Talia knows about us.
25:01She told me on day two.
25:03Said it would be a mistake to keep dating you.
25:15Okay, um...
25:16Okay, first off, what business is that of hers?
25:19And second, why would you wait so long to tell me?
25:21I didn't want to screw this up.
25:24And I didn't want you to confront her and get fired.
25:29Oh?
25:31Look, Talia won't tell anyone.
25:34And we'll just make sure nobody else finds out.
25:38Okay?
25:41Okay.
25:48So are you gonna tell me my fate, or are you just gonna torture me all morning?
25:52You really in a hurry to find out?
25:55No.
25:58Who is it?
26:00Officer Bradford.
26:03I.D.
26:06You're looking at us through the peephole, Wallace.
26:09Just open up.
26:17Hey, Tate.
26:18Who are you?
26:19My new boot.
26:20Have you been out of the apartment recently?
26:22The downstairs buzzer's broken.
26:23Can you fix it for me?
26:26Fix it yourself?
26:28I'll be in the car.
26:30What? What am I supposed to do?
26:33Talk to Wallace.
26:42Can I come in?
26:43No.
26:45Okay, look, I can...
26:49I told Nolan.
26:52Told him what?
26:54Not what you want me to tell him, but that you know.
26:59Bishop.
27:01Got a little girl looking for you?
27:03Says she's following up on the 911 call you took yesterday.
27:06Is that the foster kid?
27:08Sarah, yeah.
27:10Wait in the shop.
27:14Come on.
27:16Sir.
27:17Wallace.
27:20Dude, my tio says talk to you.
27:23Okay, so I gotta talk to you.
27:28Look, I'm not going away, so just let me in.
27:32Please.
27:38Please.
27:50So how do you know Officer Bradford?
27:54We used to date.
27:58You can see the look on your face.
28:01You know, a few years ago, I was hatecrammed.
28:05Tim went with me to the hospital and I haven't been able to get rid of him since.
28:14You're a big traveler.
28:17I used to be.
28:18You don't go out much anymore?
28:20Being outside is overrated.
28:26I talked to my mom last night.
28:28She said she wanted me back.
28:31But Alice is blocking her.
28:33It's not her call, Sarah.
28:35I spoke with social services this morning.
28:38Your mom just did six months for a hit and run.
28:40She's clean now.
28:41She told me.
28:43I hope so.
28:44But she's going to have to sustain it a while before they put you back with her.
28:48Just like the rest of them.
28:50Sit down.
28:57I grew up in the system.
29:00Four foster families by the time I was your age.
29:02Each of them worse than where you are now.
29:05At first I was angry all the time.
29:08It was unfair, you know?
29:09Every other kid got to have a happy childhood.
29:12But you got to get past that.
29:14You've been placed in a good home with the foster mom who's trying to help you be independent.
29:19Teach you a skill so you don't have to rely on anyone.
29:23The sooner you stop feeling sorry for yourself and do what has to be done, the better off you'll be.
29:31I haven't left this apartment in 15 months.
29:36I tried it first when I got home from the hospital.
29:39I even made it downstairs a few times.
29:42That was over a year ago.
29:44What happens when you try to leave?
29:46Have you ever been on fire and underwater at the same time?
29:50Yeah.
29:51Yesterday.
29:54Turns out I have a thing about being shot at.
29:57And if I don't get past it, I'm done.
30:00Look, I'm hardly the person to give advice.
30:04But if you're gonna conquer this, you gotta do it now.
30:07If I'd only forced myself to go outside on the first day,
30:12I wouldn't be trapped in here.
30:17Lopez, Nolan.
30:18You wanted to see us?
30:20The quinceañera felon you picked up yesterday?
30:22Master Garcia.
30:23He's requested to speak with you both.
30:25Why?
30:26ADA thinks it's connected to a plea deal he's trying to cut.
30:29She's bringing him in from the courthouse now.
30:31You let me know how it goes.
30:33Yes, ma'am.
30:36I wanna thank you for yesterday.
30:38That dance meant a lot to my daughter.
30:40And the fact that you let me finish, that means a lot to me.
30:45So, to reward you, I have a gift.
30:49A drug deal's going down this afternoon.
30:51Large shipment.
30:52The kind of bust that'll get you noticed.
30:55And you're just giving us this because we were nice to you?
30:58No, I'm doing this to reduce my sentence, but I'm giving it to you because you were nice to me.
31:03So you better hurry up.
31:05Call the DA to make a deal because the exchange is going down in two hours.
31:18So, according to Garcia, the exchange is going down at Stomson Home Supply on Sunset.
31:23Well, they're gonna make a drug deal in the parking lot in broad daylight?
31:27Box stores are the perfect cover.
31:29Busy parking lots, multiple exits.
31:31They hide in the chaos.
31:33So at 1,500 hours, a car loaded with 80 kilos of cocaine driven up from Mexico will land in
31:38the parking lot.
31:39The driver will walk away.
31:41A runner for the buyer will climb behind the wheel and drive off.
31:45The whole thing takes 90 seconds.
31:46According to Nestor, the shipment is in a red Civic with Nevada plates.
31:50Now, the parking lot only has two access points.
31:54Here and here.
31:56Officer Bradford, you'll be parked out of sight over there.
31:59Officer Bishop, you'll have all eyes on this exit here.
32:02What about us, Sergeant? What's our position?
32:04We need to know exactly when the car lands, so we need eyes on the whole parking line.
32:09Officer Bradford, you will be with me here.
32:20License and registration?
32:22This ain't dinner theater.
32:24Relax.
32:33I think I see our welcoming party.
32:35No Ram.
32:37Three Hispanics inside, heads on swivel.
32:43No sign of our red Civic yet.
32:46Stand by.
32:48Copy that.
32:52Thanks.
32:54For, uh, not outing me to Gray.
32:58Had a good talk with Wallace.
33:03Great.
33:05Can you promise me you're cured?
33:07Of course not.
33:09And if things go sideways on this bust, you do not get out of this shop.
33:12You understand?
33:14Sir.
33:14But the only answer here is yes.
33:16I cannot rely on you to have my back, and I will not have your death on my head.
33:20Got it?
33:24Yes, sir.
33:34I-I really like him.
33:39I've never been serious about anyone before, and I'm playing it casual, but the thought of ending it, I-I
33:47don't want to.
33:50But then I heard you tell Sarah to stop feeling sorry for herself and to just, you know, make peace
33:55with her situation, and I realized I can't just run from a hard decision. I have to face it. Head
34:01on.
34:01I'm sorry.
34:02How exactly did you hear that?
34:07I might have wandered into observation while you were talking to her, I-
34:13Sorry.
34:14Look, I appreciate you being honest with me about Nolan.
34:18More importantly, I think you're finally being honest with yourself.
34:22That's all I was looking to provoke.
34:25An informed choice.
34:28Here we go.
34:29Red Civic and Nevada plates entering parking lot.
35:05Go, go, go!
35:06Go, go, go!
35:287 out of 15, going after the Red Civic.
35:40Go, go, go!
35:41Sam, stay down!
35:45Stay in the car.
35:53I'm moving up!
35:54Lifter, I got you!
35:57Sam!
35:58Don't get me!
36:14Let's go.
36:29Oh no, no, no!
36:34I don't know what happened!
36:35Not even though it was broken.
36:36creole's, well, that's a lot of everything.
36:36What happened.
36:37I'm hungry.
36:37You're the same time, please.
36:37You're the same time.
36:37You're the same time.
36:39I don't know what happened.
36:39I'm so hungry.
36:55I can make it. I can get in there.
36:56Barilla!
36:57Got you.
36:59Ready?
37:00Yeah. Got you.
37:34One suspect in custody.
37:42Seven out of 15, in pursuit of Red Civic heading east on Chapman.
37:55That is a lot of coke.
37:59Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo. You calling Uber?
38:05I'll understand if you don't give me a five star.
38:08The moment of truth is upon us.
38:12In the shift.
38:14Time to come clean.
38:17What did you learn about your T.O.'s?
38:21Officer West.
38:24Sorry, sir.
38:26I was unable to gain any insight into Officer Bradford.
38:30That's disappointing.
38:33Officer Chin.
38:35I do fail in my assignment, Sergeant.
38:39All right.
38:41All right. That leaves you, Officer Nolan.
38:44You can literally say anything and win the contest.
38:48Sorry, sir. Just as stumped as the others.
38:53Okay, fine.
38:55So no one wants extra credit.
38:58I guess we'll start at the basics.
39:01Tomorrow morning, you will have a quiz on your Rook books.
39:05Study hard.
39:07Because 80% is considered a fail in my house.
39:13Dismissed.
39:19Looks like I fixed your Rookie for you.
39:20Thanks.
39:22And I didn't get you anything.
39:23The only thing I need is you not to lie to me again.
39:31In the future, I'd appreciate it if you stayed away from my personal life.
39:36Booth, this wasn't about you.
39:37The hell it wasn't.
39:39My relationship with Lucy is not a game.
39:41I care about her.
39:41Really?
39:43Because when this gets out, and it will get out,
39:46it'll brand her for the rest of her career.
39:49So if you care about her like you say you do,
39:51you wouldn't even put her in this position.
39:57When I get blue,
40:01just try not to think of you.
40:11Stay.
40:11Hey.
40:12I need to...
40:17Can I go first?
40:18Uh, yeah, sure.
40:27When I first met you,
40:28I had just turned my life upside down,
40:30and I was...
40:33I was lost.
40:34I was alone.
40:36Everything was alien to me.
40:38But then you turned me right side up again.
40:41And you gave me the confidence not just to endure the challenges,
40:43but to actually enjoy them, and I'm so grateful for that.
40:47But now that we're here, I just don't think...
40:49Uh, are you breaking up with me?
40:56Yeah, Lucy, I am.
40:58Because, uh, I was gonna break up with you.
41:01Then why are you mad?
41:03I have been struggling with this decision for weeks because I really like you, and you just ripped off the
41:11band-aid like it was no big deal.
41:13Of course it's a big deal.
41:14I don't want to do this, but I can't be the reason you fail.
41:17Oh, so you're protecting yourself.
41:19No, I'm trying to put myself in your shoes.
41:21You'll never be in my shoes.
41:23And you'll never know how unfair that is.
41:31You're right.
41:34Oh, you're right, and I'm sorry.
41:40I joined the Academy on a whim.
41:44I knew that my parents would hate it, but I had no idea how much I would love it.
41:51Being a cop is the first thing I have ever been serious about, and you...
41:58You were the second.
42:00Lucy...
42:00Don't, don't.
42:03Yeah, uh, it's better this way.
42:05So, uh, I will see you at work.
42:12I've been missing you all of my life.
42:57Damn it.
43:00I'll see you guys in the stream.
43:00I'll see you guys next time out.
43:00Bye.
43:01That's you?
43:02Bye.
