00:00Whenever the Mexican national team takes the field anywhere in the world, thousands of fans come together to support El
00:07Tri.
00:08But some fans take it a step further. They don't just follow the team, they help bring supporters together.
00:14They carry the colors, traditions, and spirit of Mexico wherever they go,
00:20understanding that the national team is about much more than the 11 players on the field.
00:25It's about bringing a community together. It's about creating familia.
00:34A ver Paco, yo estoy muy, muy excited.
00:37Ahora sĂ, como dirĂa nuestra querida Selena. Yo estoy muy excited.
00:40Tell us a little more about Cielito Lindo. How did it start?
00:43Well, it started back in 2015. I did a trip to South America following my club.
00:48And I realized, like, all of the energy that we were missing out, right?
00:51I'm like, you know what? There's a bunch of Mexicans always traveling to the World Cubs.
00:54There's a bunch of Mexicans always filling up the stadiums. Why don't we organize this?
00:57You know, I think that we should organize it.
00:59Vamos a irnos en 10 minutos. Solo estamos esperando a la banda.
01:02And I truly believe to have a team that can become world champion, we need a fan base that is
01:07prepared to be world champion.
01:18But what happens when soccer becomes something even bigger? When it becomes a reason to hold on to life itself.
01:25Years ago, the Gutierrez family received devastating news. Doctors gave little Naima almost no chance of surviving.

02:26And I realized, like, all of the energy that we were missing out, right?
02:30I'm like, you know what? There's a bunch of Mexicans always traveling to the World Cubs.

02:57But what happens when soccer becomes something even bigger, when it becomes a reason to hold on to life itself?
03:03Years ago, the Gutierrez family received devastating news. Doctors gave little Naima almost no chance of survival.
03:11Bound together by their love for the game, Naima and her father Pablo made a promise to one another.
03:17One day, they would leave the hospital behind and spend their lives together celebrating goals, victories and unforgettable moments in
03:27stadiums wherever the sport would take them.
03:29It's been very tough to imagine, you know, days like this. But, you know, with our faith and our connection
03:37to soccer and to the Mexican national team always kept us in that, you know, positive vibe.
03:44And, you know, this is a dream come true. It's a dream come true to be here with her.
03:48Tell us a little more about the connection that you have with your dad and football.
03:53Well, my dad has introduced me to soccer and without him, I probably wouldn't have known all the teams.
04:01And, you know, I just have a lot of gratitude towards that because he always brings me to all the
04:07fun events and just experience new things that I haven't done before.
04:10Naima travels alongside the group, following Mexico wherever they play.
04:15But more importantly, she travels celebrating life itself, proving that soccer can be so much more than a game.
04:22It can be a reason to connect, to belong and to find strength in others who share the same passion.
04:29In Cielito Lindo, you know, we definitely appreciate the values and their mission and their vision, right?
04:35It feels like family at the end of the day. And that's what, you know, continues to bring us back
04:39year after year.
04:41Because when familia and football come together, incredible things can happen.
04:45It feels like a good day.
