00:05Hi guys! Checking in from Los Angeles Stadium, where today we got an exclusive look at the final preparations ahead
00:11of this summer's biggest international soccer tournament.
00:14Earlier today we went on a behind-the-scenes tour of the venue, showcasing some of the key changes that
00:20have transformed this iconic stadium into a world-class soccer destination.
00:25And of course the start of the show was The Pitch, which soon will play host to unforgettable moments in
00:32a venue more commonly known for NFL games and sold-out concerts.
00:36We also had the chance to chat with a few of the stadium representatives.
00:43So generally the stadium is AstroTurf, so the challenge for FIFA is playing on natural turf.
00:49So it's grown on the turf. This was grown in Washington State.
00:51The surface as you see it now is probably three feet above the normal surface.
00:57So we've had to put a drainage cell at the bottom.
01:00It's almost like a bathtub where you put the natural turf in.
01:07At Los Angeles Stadium we have two sensory locations and it's for anybody that needs maybe a break, feeling a
01:13little bit overwhelmed, needs a quiet space.
01:15There is tactile things on the wall for people to touch. They can have headphones.
01:20It's a very soothing, relaxing location.
01:22You can just go to guest services and ask to go there and it's a really great space for any
01:26patron.
01:27We want to make sure that everyone feels included.
01:32This is our mix zone. This is where I'm very excited to have all of our media members to come
01:38in.
01:38We will have space allocated for our media partners, as well for our non rights holders, as well for journalists.
01:44So if you're here, we want to get those quick reactions.
01:47We will have players coming in to the stations that you'll see right here to the right.
01:54Now officially known as Los Angeles Stadium during the tournament, the venue is ready to welcome more than 70,000
02:02fans from around the globe for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the beautiful game.
02:08The countdown is almost over and from what we have seen today, Los Angeles is more than ready to welcome
02:15the world.
