00:13Hello everyone, Michael and Dennis, thank you so much for taking the time to come here
00:25and share these beautiful kind words that I obviously don't deserve, but I take them all, I take them all.
00:33You two are some of the best directors in the whole world and beyond, and I feel incredibly privileged to
00:42have had the opportunity to work with you both
00:46in these amazing projects that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you.
00:52I am so grateful to everyone I have worked with over the years because to be able to explore complex
01:01characters
01:02alongside some of the best actors, directors and producers like Jerry Bruckheimer in the world is something that I never
01:13take for granted.
01:15There is something about the energy of getting together to create a film that is very unique.
01:23The focus, the way everyone works together toward a single shared vision that feels more alive to me than anything
01:33else I have ever experienced in my life.
01:37That's what I love about making movies. The union. The thing where you are part of something way bigger and
01:46more important than yourself.
01:49And it's safe to assume that I certainly never imagined standing here at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre preparing to
01:58pull my hands and feet in cement.
02:02It's an honor to be part of this remarkable Hollywood tradition to be included amongst so many extraordinary, iconic artists
02:13who have left a lasting impact on our cinema.
02:20Because that's for sure it's a humbling experience. And when I think about the names that have stood on this
02:27very spot, it's hard for me to believe that it's real.
02:31Though maybe I will once the cement dries.
02:36I will once the cement dries.
02:37Los Angeles has been generous to me in ways I didn't ever expect.
02:44And I've come to understand why so many people from so many corners of the world find their way here.
02:51No matter how many trumps in power or icy ice agents on the streets, people continue to come, believing in
03:03the possibilities this city represents.
03:06For many of us, those possibilities were found in this film community, in our love of storytelling, and in the
03:15opportunity to share those stories with audiences all around the world.
03:22Even in difficult times, when fear and division can seem louder than hope, people continue to come here wanting to
03:30be part of this film community,
03:32drawn by a love of the stories we tell and the opportunity to share them.
03:38And above all else, one thing is certain, I wouldn't be standing here without my mother, Pilar.
03:47She's, I would say, the most important person in my education, obviously.
03:52And one very important lesson I learned from her as an actress is that you never get married to success
04:00or failure.
04:01Because both are a lie.
04:05If you commit to this career, it must be with discipline, grit, and endurance.
04:11And she must be freaking out now, seeing her son's feet and hands near Jack Lemmon and Gregory Peck, by
04:17the way.
04:19But the most important lesson that I learned from her is to never give up your voice for the injustice
04:25and those who are not listened often.
04:29That's why I keep denouncing the genocide in Gaza, along with the brutal violence of the settlers in the West
04:36Bank.
04:37They both are crimes that frame us all in this time in history.
04:44And I just wish that, as the Israeli and Palestinian fathers and best friends now, Rami and Bassam say,
04:54we choose to build bridges rather than digging graves.
05:00Because we have to remind ourselves that love is always, always, always stronger than hate.
05:14Speaking of love, I want to thank to my partner, friend, wife, and amazing mother, Penelope,
05:21and our two beloved miracles, Leo and Luna, for their support in me chasing my artistic passion and their patience
05:34to put up with me.
05:36I adore you.
05:38To my dear and loving friend, Elise Schertz, for being next to me during all these years and also putting
05:47up a lot with me.
05:50Thank you to the TCL Chinese Theatre and Elie Samaha for including me in this historic tradition.
05:58And finally, thank you to Apple TV and to Cape Fear's amazing creative teams.
06:03Never playing such an intense character had been more fun and enjoyable.
06:09And, well, finally, I guess Matt Skate is someone who is not afraid to get his hands dirty.
06:17So I guess I've done more than enough preparation to now get into some cement.
06:22Thank you all for being here.
06:24What?
06:24Go Rout!
06:26Go Rout!
06:26Google Rout!
06:27Your dialogue is miserable.
06:28But it looks waxy reduces.
06:28It's so heavy.
06:28It's soọn we've not, it's so Hear!
