00:00You know, one of the really fascinating pieces of this offensive rookie of the year market
00:06is the two big favorites don't, we're not sure, are actually going to be, you know,
00:14call it week one starters.
00:15And Jeremiah Love, the Arizona Cardinals running back, Fernando Mendoza,
00:20the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback.
00:22Yeah, it's really interesting to see where things are at this time of year.
00:26And obviously as teams are getting into OTAs, as they get out of OTAs,
00:31as we get into training camp, some of these storylines will, you know,
00:34come into a more full picture.
00:36Are we actually going to see Mendoza start week one for the Raiders?
00:40Where will these players be playing across the board?
00:43You know, if I had to make a decision right now,
00:45I would say that the offensive rookie of the year,
00:47I'm pretty comfortable in saying that it will come from one of those top six options.
00:51I really can't make a case for too many players further down the line in terms of the odds.
00:58The one I could make would be the John Stribling for the 49ers,
01:02just based on the potential playing time that he could be in line for with the 49ers,
01:07based on their receiving core, which seemingly can't stay healthy at any point.
01:11And whether it's Ricky Pearsall, whether it's Christian Kirk, whether it's Mike Evans,
01:16there's a clear path forward to him seeing legitimate playing time
01:20and having a viable amount of counting stats to put him in the conversation again.
01:25The Love-Mendoza storyline of them being co-favorites is very deservingly so.
01:29But after that, there's not too many more players that catch my eye.
01:33You know, again, the issue here is you know this about me.
01:41I'm super high on Fernando Mendoza.
01:43I'm super high on Jeremiah Love.
01:47But betting favorites who aren't like Fernando Mendoza is not even an option to me, quite honestly.
01:53You know what I think about what Vegas' plan is,
01:55and that's to have Cousins start maybe the entire season.
02:00So Mendoza is just not an option.
02:03Love, which almost then makes Love like with a, you know, kind of with a bullet.
02:10But I don't know what Arizona is going to do.
02:12If it was just James Conner, I might be fine.
02:15The Tyler Algier stuff, it's so on the nose with Bijan that I just, I'm already annoyed about it,
02:21and nothing's even happened here, right?
02:24I don't think, I don't think Makai Lemon has this clear, I think Makai Lemon is probably more of an
02:31in-season bet, right, Tom?
02:34Because I don't know if week one, week two, week three, this guy's lighting it up, but maybe it comes
02:38along as the season develops where we get a feel, you know, for what the Eagles' offense is.
02:43I do think, are you surprised Jordan Tyson, or let me ask you this, Tom, do you agree with Jordan
02:50Tyson and Carnell Tate having the same price?
02:57You know, my knee-jerk reaction is yes, I'm okay with it.
03:01You know, it really just comes down to what you believe the team is capable overall, and what you think
03:07we're going to be seeing from Cam Ward and Tyler Shockley.
03:10Do you think they are going to be taking a step forward in order to produce the yards to give
03:15to these players around them?
03:17I think it's okay, I would certainly pass on both of those, I would bet Love before I bet one
03:22of those two.
03:23Yeah, I, it's interesting, I feel like Tate is too low, and what's keeping Tyson afloat is a higher outlook
03:36on New Orleans,
03:39but I'm not even sure that's, like, all that realistic of an outlook on New Orleans.
03:47Like, the Saints aren't some, you know, division favorites.
03:52They are right now with a 7.5 win total, certainly, you know, respectable.
03:58The Titans win totals, you know, more 5.5, 6.5.
04:02Yeah, it's not a massive gap, but Tate, Chris Alave is still a New Orleans Saint.
04:07Last time I checked, they brought in Travis Etienne, right?
04:12Or Travis Etienne, I think I'm supposed to say that.
04:14Like, Carnell Tate, Tom, really should be, he should lead the Titans in targets.
04:21I mean, they took him fourth overall.
04:23Mm-hmm.
04:24So, I'm fine with that again.
04:26Like, I don't think the difference is massive.
04:29I do think there should be a slight change, but I can't buy into any of these players if Jadarian
04:33Price is sitting there.
04:34Like, I would take Price ahead of both of them, knowing that he's the potential starting, running back, and knowing
04:39what the Seahawks want to do.
04:40I would, you know, leapfrog all these players and, again, go down to, I don't want to say Eli Stowers,
04:46but certainly go down to Stribling just because I think he's far more enticing than any of these mid-range
04:51players.
04:51So, the Mendoza not starting week one immediately puts an issue to him.
