00:11Whether you're on your feet all day at work or constantly on the move,
00:15your feet absorb much of the strain that comes with everyday life.
00:19Over time, that can contribute to dryness, discomfort, and cracked heels.
00:24Among the treatments offered to address those concerns is a paraffin pedicure
00:28which uses warm wax as part of a foot care process.
00:32Spa estition at El Image Paraffin Day Spa, Christy Joseph, explains why some clients choose the treatment.
00:39Paraffin pedicure is a treatment that actually helps in more than one ailment so you can have with your feet.
00:45Now when we say ailment, it doesn't necessarily mean ailments where you're going to the hospital.
00:49It means things that you can actually fix coming to the spa.
00:52So it's good for deep hydration. It's also great for circulation.
00:56It's also good for sore tensions in the muscles and also it's very relaxing.
01:02One of the key benefits of paraffin pedicure is intense hydration,
01:06allowing moisture to penetrate deeply into the skin,
01:09which can be beneficial for people struggling with dry, cracked heels.
01:14Because it's extremely hydrated, so it's for deep hydration,
01:18because of the heat, it actually opens your pores and it absorbs into the skin,
01:23which helps with the deep dehydration of skin, even for the cracked feet.
01:27Now for people who have the extreme dry and cracked,
01:30we would recommend you do pedicures twice a month
01:33so that you can alleviate that and then you just maintain what you have achieved thus far.
01:37So if dry, rough or cracked heels have been giving you trouble,
01:42a paraffin treatment may be worth adding to your self-care routine.
01:46The warmth helps the skin absorb moisture more effectively,
01:49leaving feet softer and healthier over time.
01:53And while one treatment can feel great,
01:55consistency is key when it comes to maintaining results.
01:59We will be giving you that analysis based on what we see
02:02when we analyze the skin and we will guide you accordingly.
02:06So you can actually do paraffin twice a week,
02:08you can do it weekly, meaning that it's the paraffin treatment itself,
02:10not the pedicure, but you can also do pedicures twice a month,
02:14so like every two weeks.
02:15Beyond the skin care, Joseph says routine foot maintenance
02:18may also contribute to circulation and overall physical comfort,
02:23particularly for people who spend extended periods standing or sitting.
02:29Circulation, everybody needs that
02:30because there isn't a person who's not either on your feet
02:33or you're sitting at a desk.
02:36One, and then two, your posture.
02:39So if you're always on your feet alone,
02:42the imbalance as well can cause circulation,
02:45can cause back pain.
02:46So it can give you, it's not just about pampering,
02:49it's about a health benefit.
02:50So when you're doing your pedicures,
02:51it's about maintaining overall health and wellness.
02:55And healthy feet don't stop at spa treatments
02:58as choosing the right footwear is equally important.
03:02Now if you have to do wear, like whole shoes,
03:06we always recommend you trying to get something
03:08that suits your foot's shape
03:09so that your feet can actually be relaxed.
03:12It doesn't matter even if you're in a heel,
03:14wait an inch or two.
03:15But your comfort is very important.
03:18So not just pretty, but comfort
03:21because that can affect your feet,
03:22which will affect your entire body in general.
03:24So what you wear is important as well.
03:27She says paying attention to foot health
03:29through proper hygiene, appropriate footwear,
03:32and regular care can contribute to comfort
03:34and mobility in everyday life.
03:36While treatments like paraffin pedicures
03:39are often associated with relaxation,
03:42they may also provide benefits
03:43for people dealing with dry skin and tired feet.
03:47Until next time, I am Charlotte Kisto
