Iran has emphasized that Lebanon remains central to the newly announced framework agreement aimed at ending regional hostilities. Speaking at a weekly news conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated, “Lebanon and the end of the war in Lebanon are an inseparable part of the agreement to end the war.” Tehran also stressed that Washington bears responsibility for ensuring the deal is respected by its regional allies. The comments come amid continued uncertainty over implementation, as Israel has signaled that its military forces will remain deployed in parts of Lebanon despite the broader diplomatic breakthrough.
