Putin Labels Zelenskyy's Letter as 'Impudent' and Directs Military to 'Execute the Task'

Vladimir Putin has dismissed President Zelenskyy's suggestion for a meeting as 'pointless,' describing a letter from Zelenskyy, which referenced Ukraine's significant strikes within Russia, as 'impudent,' and instructed his forces to 'execute the task.' This interaction occurs amid stalled diplomatic efforts spearheaded by the Trump administration aimed at concluding the conflict, as both Ukraine and Russia persist in their hostilities far from achieving a ceasefire. Ukraine's General Staff noted 118 combat encounters on June 14 alone, particularly intense around the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors. In Oryol, located south of Moscow, a Ukrainian drone struck a multi-story residential building, resulting in one fatality and nine injuries. Additionally, Zelenskyy mentioned that Russia launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 various missiles against Ukraine in just the past week.
