In a significant escalation, Russia carried out its most extensive drone and missile offensive in several months, launching 656 drones and 73 missiles targeted at cities including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhia during the night. At least 22 Ukrainians were reported dead, with over 100 injured. Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted 602 drones and 40 missiles. Concurrently, Ukraine's General Staff indicated that 1,300 more Russian soldiers were lost in just one day, bringing the total Russian casualties since February 2022 to more than 1.37 million. Additionally, Ukraine conducted a strike on Russia's Ilsky oil refinery located in Krasnodar and took out a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system in Crimea under occupation.
