00:18Nicht nur in laboratorische conditions, such as klimaschambers und windtunnels,
00:23aber auch in der super-hot Klima des Desserts.
00:26And as strong sunlight isn't the only thing we have to deal with,
00:31we also tested 200 km above the article circle,
00:35where temperatures can reach as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius.
00:40Whether it stays stable, how good the traction is,
00:43and how the stability control systems react.
00:47The Dessert provides an opportunity to develop the entire vehicle under opposite extreme conditions.
00:53The hot, dry and dusty weather allows for rigorous testing of the chassis and brakes,
01:00as well as the cooling system.
01:02If you can cool down the interior and battery there,
01:06the system will work well anywhere in the world.
01:09We left the cars there for 12 months,
01:12straight and monitored whether everything inside the car kept the shape.
01:17We drove thousands of kilometers on gravel roads in the desert to see if dust could get into the car.
01:24Because if dust gets in, water might get in as well.
01:28And that has to be prevented.
01:31We also monitored stone chipping.
01:33That is particularly bad for plastic parts.
01:36For three and a half years,
01:38we checked and fine-tuned various details to reach the highest peak of quality.
01:44And I hope you enjoyed our new flagship, the Škoda Peak.
