00:08response to an event organised by a commercial enterprise.
00:14Let me make it clear that people are allowed to attend public spaces and participate in a harmonious and peaceful

00:24What happened yesterday in Mayfield was far from that.
00:27There were people who attended that event that did so in a lawful manner and tried to enjoy what was
00:35occurring in the park.
00:37Unfortunately, there was an element yesterday, however, that displayed quite disgusting behaviour that put community safety at risk.
00:47That included young children who were playing in the park.
00:51So police responded and found about 150 to 200 people at this event.
00:56There were also approximately 40 people riding unregistered trail bikes.
01:02Their behaviour in the park and on our public streets was nothing short of dangerous.
01:08It put people's lives at risk.
01:10Police who were on scene there were forced to close roads in response to that risk.
01:16There was a police car damaged.
01:18There was a civilian car damaged.
01:21There was a brawl that occurred on the side of the street that police were forced to intervene on.
