A bus was set alight and a teenager suffered a gunshot wound during chaotic scenes in Midtown Manhattan in New York City as thousands of basketball fans celebrated the New York Knicks' historic win in the NBA Finals on June 13 night.

As the celebration ran into the night, a group of fans swarmed a convoy of about 15 shuttle buses in Times Square after they transported football fans from the area where the FIFA World Cup game between Brazil and Morocco was held.

At about 2am on June 14, a 17-year-old was shot in the foot with three persons being taken in police custody.
