00:00First of all, you have an incredible character to start with.
00:02A few people get the opportunity to play a character that has been adored,
00:09iterated upon, featured on big screen, small screen for four decades.
00:14I was terrified to play Indiana Jones.
00:18Originally turned it down.
00:19I told Tom Keegan, who was our performance director,
00:22let me give you two names.
00:23This is who you should call, and they're going to do an amazing job.
00:26In my effort to be humble, I realized that I was being incredibly arrogant
00:33to think that I somehow knew more about the character than Tom Keegan
00:40or anybody at Bethesda did.
00:42And so Tom was very patient with me, and he said,
00:47I like you for this role, and I think there's something about you
00:50that you could just naturally bring to this.
00:52And so I told him, all right, I'll put myself on tape,
00:56but if it's bad, please just don't show anybody.
00:59Like, just keep it between you and me.
01:02Fortunately, he was right.
01:03And there was something that he knew he could work with,
01:07and we spent the next two and a half years making one hell of a game.
