00:00Hey Vogue!
00:01It's Leve and I'm going to walk you through my daily skincare routine and makeup routine.
00:06My first step is always a cleanser.
00:09I just use a CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser.
00:13Get it all over the face.
00:21CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion, but I use it in the morning too.
00:27I started struggling with acne a lot in my 20s.
00:32Like it didn't come until I was older and I struggled with a lot of hormonal acne.
00:40I think a lot about like the internal and how to take care of my body.
00:44And I feel like that's really fed into my skin.
00:47One of the most important skincare steps for me is sleeping enough.
00:52You know, my skin is like freaking out because I was in the desert and I was here.
00:56And I'm also in the middle of a tour and I'm on an airplane many times a week.
01:01And my skin like doesn't know what to do.
01:03And actually what my dermatologist recommended me to use and something I've actually really been loving
01:10is this Tower 28 SOS skin after every airplane ride.
01:17Just whenever I have a moment over makeup, over skincare.
01:21Another thing that I've been doing recently that I don't think I did enough of growing up.
01:26It's just a bit of self-care.
01:28I've been loving eye patches recently.
01:31Oh, my hands are so lubed up.
01:33I can't open this.
01:34This is an Icelandic brand actually.
01:39Got it.
01:40It always feels good to use something Icelandic from home.
01:45I feel like when I think about Icelandic women, natural beauty comes to mind.
01:50It's very much like, I mean, the weather, they're so crazy.
01:55You have to take good care of your skin.
01:57And Iceland is like a wellness society.
01:59A lot of saunas and steam rooms and even, I mean, we have the Blue Lagoon in Iceland too.
02:05It's silica, this mud that they have that people put on their skin.
02:10My next step is lighting a candle because, well, I'm a Taurus, first of all, and we have to be
02:17cozy.
02:18This is a Icelandic candle.
02:20I hoard Icelandic candles because I just yearn for the smell of home.
02:25It's called Fishefsund and it's number 23 and 23 is my lucky number.
02:32And it just smells like home.
02:34It's so cozy.
02:35My last step for my very simple skincare routine is a good lip balm.
02:41This is the lip balm I've been using since high school.
02:44I used to hate putting anything on my lips growing up.
02:47And this was like the first thing I could put on my lips because it was so minty
02:52that it kind of like took the feeling of anything on my lips away.
02:56Because it's kind of spicy.
02:58All right, let's get started with makeup.
03:01Somewhere along the way, I was like transferring things and now it's in this plastic bag.
03:05And it's just, honestly, I can see everything.
03:08And when it gets nasty, I just change it out for another.
03:11I think a sharpener exploded in my bag.
03:15So everything's really dirty.
03:18I'm going to use this Westman Atelier foundation stick.
03:24It's the color four.
03:27Very unlucky number in Chinese culture.
03:31It means death.
03:31So yeah, if you get it, get it.
03:34If you don't, don't be scared of number four.
03:39Eight is a very lucky number.
03:41So go search for eights in your life.
03:44Every time I see eight, I'm like, yes, something good's about that.
03:51Icelandic makeup trends follow American makeup trends more.
03:55Whereas Chinese have their own completely unique makeup trends and products and things.
04:03And it's funny when I try like more Chinese or more Asian techniques, I look more Asian.
04:10And if I do more like Western makeup, I look more white.
04:14It's like, I'm very much like in the middle where I can skew either way and makeup can kind of
04:19help that.
04:20My next step, eyebrows.
04:23I didn't touch my eyebrows until the age of like 20 because I was so scared that
04:28once I started messing with them, I would not be able to stop.
04:32I got my eyebrows done for the first time a couple months ago.
04:38That shit is so painful.
04:39No one tells you every time I lie there now, I'm like, wow, beauty is pain.
04:43Nothing feels more like beauty is pain than getting your eyebrows tweezed.
04:47But I don't do very much.
04:49I like a natural but kind of brushed up brow.
04:54How do I...
04:57The Mad Woman music video, the makeup looks were so fun and it was very like 60s inspired.
05:05I have this kind of like eyeliner over my over the top of the lid.
05:10And it was so much fun to get to play around with those makeup styles because I don't usually get
05:15to.
05:16In the video, it was me, Alyssa Liu, Lola Tong, Megan from Cat's Eye and Hudson Williams.
05:22We so rarely see Asian faces in those styles of makeup.
05:27And I just thought it was so cool.
05:29A big portion of the crew, the glam team were Asian.
05:33And I think that's something that's so important to me.
05:35Being able to be a part of a community like that.
05:38I certainly didn't have that growing up.
05:40The reason I wanted to do the music video is like, these are girls I sometimes get mixed up with.
05:46And I thought it would be funny to just like have a video of all of us together.
05:51It was so fun.
05:52The whole day on set was literally like, it was like my dream day.
05:56My twin sister, Yunia, is my creative director.
05:59She makes sure that the hair and the makeup and the story all like kind of work together well.
06:04This is a eyeshadow palette.
06:07I like to do kind of like a light brown eyeshadow.
06:10Also, I stole this from my mom accidentally.
06:14And then it was really, really great.
06:16And I don't want to give it back because it's so great.
06:19So I just put a little bit of this brown in my crease.
06:26My parents are still in Iceland and I love going home to Iceland.
06:33I miss them so much.
06:34I miss home every single day, but it smells a little bit like home right now.
06:41So it's okay.
06:42I take a little bit of this shiny one and I put it on my face when I want to
06:49have fun.
06:55I no longer do my own makeup for shows.
06:59I did up until this tour, but I didn't know how to make it stay.
07:06It just like melts off at the end of the night.
07:08This is a blush that I love using from Chanel.
07:15It's kind of like a combo of a blush and bronzer.
07:21And I like just brushing it onto my cheeks.
07:23I like how it looks kind of like sun-kissed, if you will.
07:28I love listening to classical music when I'm getting ready.
07:31A little bit of Mozart in the morning goes crazy.
07:34Sets you up right.
07:35Mozart piano sonatas.
07:37This is my trusty Ilya Limitless Lash mascara.
07:45A little bit underneath.
07:48Okay, so I found these on TikTok.
07:50My sister found it on TikTok and then I stole it from her.
07:54It's a lip liner and I really don't know what I'm doing here,
07:59but I like to just do a little bit of an outline.
08:07I feel like every time something of mine goes crazy on TikTok, I'm like,
08:11what the hell?
08:13It never makes sense to me.
08:14My sound is very inspired from the past and TikTok is so new, so young.
08:19So when people are taking onto it there, I'm always shocked, but very happily shocked,
08:24because it means that young people are listening to the music that I love.
08:27I loved growing my audience on social media.
08:32We kind of own this success together.
08:35And now when I get to go on these arena stages or whatever,
08:40and I look out into the audience and there's tens of thousands of people,
08:44I don't feel like it's 10,000 strangers.
08:46I feel like it's a group of people that I know and I can be certain that they've already accepted
08:51me.
08:51This is a product that I actually really, really love.
08:54It's the most beautiful color and you can kind of put it anywhere.
09:00I've been putting it on my lips.
09:04And it just gives the most beautiful flush of color.
09:08And sometimes I put it on my cheeks as well.
09:14To do your makeup is, we say, a maulachgut, like a maulachgut, and that means to paint myself.
09:22Like I'm painting myself.
09:23And I always think that's really beautiful.
09:25Like it's like a canvas and you can have fun with it and paint.
09:29And I mean, it feels like painting, you know?
09:33And then this is the final, final piece.
09:36I like to just like put some on my finger and just tap it on.
09:49And you can like barely see it.
09:51I do it too much, maybe.
09:53You see, that's a part of doing your makeup.
09:55Sometimes you do a little bit too much and then you have to go tone it down.
10:01Okay, this looks kind of intense.
10:03And all right, I think this is the final, the final look.
10:11Thank you guys for watching a lot.
10:15Bless. Bye-bye.
