00:00Are you seeing a lot of customers at the moment trying to lock in tomato prices, given where they seem
00:06to have, you know, gone to recently?
00:08Tomato pricing thing is unique as far as like how expensive it got.
00:14But I'd say in general in produce, this is like a very much a normal working environment for my team
00:18of just prices spiking and going crazy here and there.
00:21And I think a lot of that is produce demand, especially in the U.S., is rather inelastic in the
00:27short term.
00:28And it's so reliant on weather and acreage grown and the production out of that acreage that you see very
00:37wild swings in markets all the time, right?
00:39Like tomatoes was the last thing to pop.
00:41I guarantee this summer you're going to be hearing about romaine again because that's already almost $100 a case right
00:47now, which is insane for romaine because of bad weather in California and avocados as well.
00:53Avocados went from $30 a case to $80 a case in literally the span of a week in the last
01:00week.
