00:00the United States military unleashing powerful strikes overnight against the Iranian regime.
00:05President Trump exclusively telling Fox News in a phone call from the Situation Room
00:10that 49 Tomahawk missiles were launched at targets across Iran.
00:15One of those targets just 40 miles outside the capital of Tehran.
00:19We also know that other targets were hit along the southwestern coast of the country.
00:23The president says we hit them very hard tonight and described the strikes as violent and vicious.
00:28President Trump also giving some new insight into the behind the scenes of what was taking place during those hours.
00:35He was in the Situation Room with Vice President J.D. Vance and Special Envoys Kushner and Witkoff when the
00:41phone rang.
00:42It was the Iranians, President Trump says, on the other end calling on him to stop the bombing.
00:47He said he'll stop the bombing if they sign the agreement that is currently on the table.
00:52And again, the latest information that we have, the Iranians did respond to those U.S. strikes overnight
00:57against their country.
00:59They launched ballistic missiles and drones at Gulf countries, including Bahrain and Kuwait.
01:03And even as far as Jordan, the Jordanian army says they shot down 20 incoming ballistic missiles.
01:09Guys?
01:10So, Trey, right now we believe with the time shifting that we're shaping the battle, it seems,
01:17using your term and the military term, in order to hit them much harder.
01:22Take down, you know, blind them and then have your way with them.
01:25So, do you believe today it will be an escalation or is, when you say continuing to bomb, was that
01:33yesterday?
01:36Yeah, it's a great question.
01:37When I spoke with the president, I asked him, what happens if the Iranians don't sign the deal?
01:41And he said, we'll bomb the S out of them tomorrow night.
01:45So, the president is leaving the military option on the table because he understands that the bombing campaign
01:50in the past 48 hours was a shaping operation.
01:53They were going after the air defense systems that remain inside of Iran and the radar sites
01:58that the Iranians try to use to identify foreign aircraft over their territory.
02:02The reality now is the United States controls the skies of Iran.
02:05And the Iranians can do very little when these strikes take place.
02:09Another important note here is what we are hearing from the Iranians today.
02:12Through state media and official channels, they are saying that the Strait of Hormuz is closed.
02:17But they've said that before.
02:19And ultimately, we found out from President Trump yesterday that millions of barrels of oil
02:24were actually being taken out of the Persian Gulf as a result of a secret operation conducted by U.S.
02:29forces
02:30to support these vessels, ships that had millions of barrels of oils on board.
02:35And so, again, it gives you a dichotomy of what's actually happening on the ground
02:38and what you hear from Iranian state media.
02:40But what took place overnight was significant.
02:43And I asked the president, does this mean the ceasefire is over?
02:46And he simply said that this is not really a ceasefire because it's one of the worst ceasefires in history.
02:52The Iranians have been launching strikes.
02:54They shot down using a drone a U.S. helicopter in Apache with two U.S. service members on board.
03:00And ultimately, that led to these new strikes by the U.S. military.
03:04Now, the president also in the room was alongside Vice President J.D. Vance.
03:08And I asked the vice president about the negotiation process, and he said we're certainly dealing with both.
03:13The very highest levels of the political leadership, but also the IRGC.
03:18The vice president and the negotiating team understands exactly who they're dealing with here.
03:22But they also understand what President Trump told me yesterday.
03:25They are now tapping the United States along, and the president is using bombs to negotiate, putting new pressure on
03:31the Iranian regime.
03:32Because he understands it's not only the military pressure that we saw last night, it's also the economic pressure as
03:38a result of the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports.
03:41We know that Iranian exports across the border are down about 90 percent.
03:45They're extracting crude oil at a rate of 50 percent, and it is crippling the Iranian economy.
03:49They're losing hundreds of millions of dollars every week.
03:52And so the president has some strategic patience here to play with, because the Iranians are under an immense amount
03:58of domestic political pressure.
04:00And last night, they saw that they can't even defend against new incoming attacks.
04:04Trey, what do you say to our viewers who love Donald Trump, and they support him, they trust him, they
04:12believe he's talking to the right people and making the right moves, but they're tired of this.
04:16And they see that the midterms are around the corner.
04:19They want our economy to get back on track and our gas prices to drop.
04:22What do we need to do to get out?
04:26So a couple things here.
04:27In terms of the gas prices, the president, by doing this secret operation, has been able to relatively stabilize the
04:33oil prices.
04:34And that's part of the reason, because this operation was ongoing that we learned about yesterday.
04:39More broadly, as it relates to Operation Epic Fury and why this began,
04:44President Trump simply told me this began to ensure that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon that threatens U
04:49.S. forces, allies, or even the United States in the future.
04:52And the reality is, the Iranians showed up to the negotiating table at the beginning of this year.
04:57And rather than say they're open to making a deal with the United States and they'll never have a nuclear
05:01bomb,
05:02they told U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff they had enough highly enriched uranium at 60% purity to create
05:0811 nuclear bombs.
05:09That's just one step away from weapons-grade material.
05:12And this is a regime, as we've seen in the past, that will publicly say, we have friends in the
05:17Gulf.
05:17We're friends with Bahrain and Qatar and Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
05:22And then launch missiles and drones against their civilian population.
05:26And so the President had that information, along with U.S. intelligence,
05:29that indicated they were very close in that breakout time toward a nuclear weapon.
05:33And so the answer to your question is this.
05:36As it relates to what is taking place in the short term,
05:39the President has indicated, when I've talked to him previously,
05:43when this is over, he believes gas prices are going to drop.
05:46But primarily he wants to either ensure that Iran does not have this highly enriched material in their country
05:52through an agreement or on the battlefield.
05:54And that's really what we're looking at here.
05:55Two options, according to the President.
05:57Either the Iranians are going to make a good-faith deal
06:00that opens the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping,
06:03this critical waterway that accounts for around 20% of the global energy supply
06:07when you're looking at crude oil and liquefied natural gas that comes from places like Qatar.
06:11And also ensure that they'll never have a path to a nuclear weapon.
06:15And that's a very difficult negotiation process that the Vice President and Special Envoys Kushner and Wyckoff
06:21are working on with counterparts in the region, including the Qataris and those in Islamabad, Pakistan.
06:27Because there is that highly enriched uranium that was buried in the aftermath of Operation Midnight Hammer
06:32last summer at the end of the 12-day war.
06:34And when the President took those B-2 bombers over those Iranian nuclear facilities,
06:38like Isfahan and Fordow, he actually buried that highly enriched uranium deep underground.
06:44And so he wants to ensure that it's either diluted and destroyed or removed from the country.
06:48And if the Iranians are unwilling to do that,
06:50then we're looking at a situation where this is likely going to go on for a matter of weeks, if
06:55not longer.
06:56Real quickly, Trey, because you had the phone call with the President as he's doing these operations.
07:01That you get the impression that negotiation now is over, that it's an ultimatum almost.
07:09Either you sign the deal with no negotiations more, I've given you as much as I can, or the war
07:17continues.
07:20Yes, certainly there is a new equation.
07:22The President told me last night, we'll bomb the S out of them tomorrow night if they don't sign the
07:27deal.
07:28Because he's done being tapped along, he told me, as it relates to this negotiation process.
07:33And the Iranians are notorious for dragging out negotiations.
07:37And that's something, when you look at the region, they have a reputation for.
07:40But they're in a situation right now that they've not been in in 48 years.
07:44Because not only are they taking immense military pressure, with the U.S. military controlling the skies of their country,
07:50the U.S. military also controls their critical ports, where they make their money to support their military activities.
07:59But also, when we look back just a few months, and we think about what happened during Operation Epic Fury,
08:04they've lost their ability to deter those in the region,
08:07because their production lines were taken out in strikes that were ordered by U.S. Central Command alongside the Israelis.
08:13They not only went after the launching positions of these drones and missiles,
08:17but they took out the production facilities that would allow them to create more.
