00:41Japan is also set to receive its first shipment of crude oil from Mexico in July,
00:47while imports from Canada are expected to rise.
00:49The government says national petroleum stockpiles should help maintain a stable supply through March 2028.
00:55The announcement comes as American and Iranian forces in the Strait of Hormuz clash despite a ceasefire.
01:02Tehran says the waterway has been closed to all vessels,
01:05while the U.S. maintains that commercial shipping through the Strait is continuing.
