00:00Vessels' movement through the Strait of Hormuz following a U.S.-Iran ceasefire was halted,
00:06with the strategic waterway now fully closed and oil tankers forced to turn back,
00:11according to Iran's state-run Press TV.
00:14Maritime tracking data from marine traffic showed that two vessels
00:19transit the strait on Wednesday following the two-week ceasefire between U.S. and Iran on Tuesday.
00:27However, the situation deteriorated sharply later after Israel launched large-scale
00:33strikes across Lebanon, which has killed at least 254 people. According to Iran's Fars News Agency,
00:41the administration halted all oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz in response to the
00:46attacks. The Press TV said the strait was fully closed, forcing several tankers that had begun
00:52heading toward the exit to reverse course, and returned deeper into the Persian Gulf.
00:57Meanwhile, Iran's ports and maritime organization on Wednesday released a safe navigation chart for
01:04the Strait of Hormuz, advising all vessels to strictly follow designated routes to avoid the risk of mines.
