00:02Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5, a publicly available model matching the power of its
00:08restricted mythos system, on Tuesday, according to CNBC. The company said new safety guardrails
00:14make the broad release possible, blocking high-risk responses in areas like cybersecurity
00:18and biology. When a user asks a dangerous question, the model falls back to Claude Opus 4.8
00:25to deliver a safe answer. Claude Fable 5 outperformed Claude Opus 4.8 by more than 10% on some
00:33benchmarks. The model cost $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens,
00:40twice the price of Opus 4.8. Anthropic also released Claude Mythos 5, the same underlying
00:46model with some guardrails lifted. The launch follows Anthropic's confidential IPO filing with
00:51the SEC and a reported revenue run rate of $47 billion, up from roughly $10 billion in annual
00:57revenue last year. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
