00:00What a night.
00:01What a night is right.
00:02Now, I'm sorry that they – once they won the first two,
00:05I was actually pulling for you and your bet for the sweep.
00:07Yeah.
00:08Because – and also I'm already sick of the Knicks.
00:10Like, I want – I was like, let's get this over with.
00:12But now we got us a series.
00:13Oh, yeah.
00:14I mean, I don't know if you heard yesterday I said, I think, you know,
00:18when Las Vegas has a team that's won 13 games in a row as a two-point favorite,
00:23the entire public is going to be like, that's the dumbest spread ever.
00:28We're all over the Knicks.
00:29So, I mean, I think folks heard me yesterday.
00:31I said, San Antonio, to me, is the play because it doesn't make any sense,
00:36that number.
00:36They went 13 straight.
00:37They're only a two-point underdog.
00:38They just got beat twice at home.
00:40And then I started to think more and more about the game.
00:42I said, listen, this team that beat Oklahoma City four times.
00:45Oklahoma City is every bit as good as they were last year when they won the NBA title.
00:49They beat them four times.
00:51Like, I know the Knicks are on an epic run, but at some point that talent
00:55on San Antonio you'd think would step up.
00:57So, yeah, I hedged it by taking San Antonio last night.
01:00Those of you who don't know, I had $100 bet for the Knicks to sweep.
01:03They would have paid 15 times odds.
01:05And I kind of hedged it last night and said, I'll take San Antonio in the game.
01:08And if they win, then they really will sweep, right, because they would have had a game four.
01:12No team in the history of basketball has ever come back from 3-0, and they will not have to.
01:17But I agree with what you said in the pre-show meeting, which is, you know, I don't really need,
01:24other than watching Charles, Kenny, and Shaq and coming, I don't need to watch an hour pregame.
01:29Tell me how the time the game is.
01:30I'll turn the TV on at 830.
01:31It felt like watching the Oscars or the Emmys or, like, one of these things, like, you
01:35needed to be an hour pregame or a Super Bowl.
01:38First of all, a game seven, a one game off.
01:40The fact that that was a game three and the pomp and circumstance I've never seen at an
01:45NBA game.
01:46And I found myself really compelled by the whole thing.
01:51And for Ernie and that crew to sit on that floor and be mesmerized as well.
01:56Ernie said it multiple times.
01:57It was great television, right?
01:59Couldn't believe it.
02:00Let's bring in more different celebs, grab that celeb, grab this guy, grab that guy,
02:04grab the commissioner, Adam Silver, you know, right at courtside.
02:08They flipped from ESPN to ABC.
02:10It felt, I don't know why I said, when I was talking about outfits and stars, why I
02:14mentioned those award shows, it felt like a Super Bowl, right?
02:16Like, what's the scene around New York?
02:18Let's give you the sights and sounds.
02:20Let's go to the teams.
02:21Let's go to the celebs.
02:22Like, it just had all the feeling of those four-hour Super Bowl pregames.
02:27Like, the gravitas, the magnitude of having New York in it.
02:33And I'm building a healthy love of the Spurs to quiet everybody down in New York.
02:38It's still going to be really hard for them.
02:40They're just so young.
02:42You know what I mean?
02:42They're just so young.
02:44Stephon Castle is just an absolute baller.
02:47He's only 21 years old.
02:48The kid from Peachtree Ridge, is it Vessel?
02:52Florida State Vessel.
02:54Yeah, Devin Vessel went to Peachtree Ridge.
02:55Yep.
02:56Really nice player, but they're just so young.
02:58And like Webb and Yama, you know, that's to me the issue is can they win three games?
03:05And that's why they needed De'Aaron Fox to finally step up late because he's the veteran
03:09on that team.
03:10But they're giving the Knicks all they can handle.
03:13They blew game two.
03:14It was all the celebs and all the storylines and the president in the house and extra security
03:20and the watch parties and the cops outside of MSG.
03:23I mean, it was so many things going on.
03:25Yeah, exactly right.
03:27So Brian Windhorst was so good postgame.
03:32And a couple of nuggets I wanted to pass by you to see what you thought if you agreed
03:36or disagree.
03:37He said this New York Knicks team is a blue-collar team.
03:40So last night, that whole celebrity and pregame was not their thing.
03:47It actually took them out of their game.
03:49Is that a fair statement?
03:51You know, it's an interesting theory.
03:53I don't really think so.
03:54I think that they're a really good team that is playing another really good team.
03:59And they've started slow in every game in this series.
04:01And last night, Wemby, they went to Wemby early.
04:04Wemby had two or three dunks in the first two or three minutes.
04:06And I think maybe the – I don't know about the celebrities, the pressure of playing
04:11under that scenario for the Knicks takes them out of your mind.
04:14So you've heard a lot of people say –
04:15Do you agree with the Knicks or this blue-collar team?
04:19Yeah, because they're not – listen, if you think of the Bulls or the Warriors,
04:23you know, like Ananobi, he's not a well-known star.
04:26Bridge is in that.
04:27Josh Hart is in that, right?
04:29Right.
04:29Mitchell Robinson.
04:30They have one star.
04:31He's Jalen Brunson, a little bit of Karl-Anthony Towns.
04:33It's not like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, right?
04:38Stars everywhere.
04:39Or the Heat teams that have Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Ray Allen, right?
04:44Four guys there.
04:45And Jalen certainly is not the face of the NBA.
04:48Right.
04:48He's not even Kobe Shaq.
04:50He's not even – like I heard someone say, he's not Kobe Bryant.
04:51So the other part that he brought up, which I thought was absolutely true,
04:55was that you could see Wemby getting tired in the second.
04:58So then they have – they go to half.
04:59Because of all the fouls that Wemby was able to rest along the way,
05:04tomorrow night will be the last night that these games are one day off.
05:09The remaining are two.
05:10So Wemby is going to –
05:12I like that point.
05:13I'm watching him rooting for San Antonio, watching the Spurs.
05:19I was sitting with Bobby and Sophie and my wife.
05:22We all watched again.
05:23I was like, Wemby's getting tired.
05:24Like you've got to know when to bring him out.
05:26When you're 7'5", it's different.
05:29You don't run like a 6'0 player that can run all night.
05:33So I would agree.
05:34If he's tired, they're not going to win.
05:37It's absolutely based on – and he was saying just watch the whole Spurs.
05:41So I thought that was – and I didn't realize that now they switch
05:44to two games after tomorrow night.
05:46So the Knicks really have to take advantage of tomorrow night.
05:49So it's Wednesday and Saturday, is that what it is?
05:51And then two more.
05:52And then two more.
05:53So it's now two days between the rest of the games after game four.
05:57So tomorrow and Saturday night, boy, that'll be a big deal.
06:02I'm in New York City on Saturday night.
06:05So if the Knicks win it, I'd be in Manhattan.
06:08Boy, that'll be a wild scene in New York City on Saturday night.
06:11I'm there Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
06:13So, yeah, it's fun to have that sporting event going on.
06:17But there's a lot of other stuff going on.
06:18The Texas Tech story is wild as it relates to Georgia.
06:21We've got a whole thing going on with Barstool Sports in Portnoy
06:24and the University of Georgia baseball team, which is just insane.
06:28Braves have a pretty interesting series coming up.
06:30So we'll do our 9 at 9.
06:33What time is this?
06:34Time for the 9 at 9.
06:36It's 9 Things You Need to Know.

06:50We didn't give you the final Spurs win, 115 to 111.
06:54Wemby with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists.
06:57That is the first loss for the Knicks in 46 days when they lost to our Atlanta Hawks.
07:04I want you to think about that statistic.
07:07The New York Knicks have had 46 days in between losses.
07:13That's a month and a half they haven't lost.
07:15My buddies who live in New York who hate the Knicks, obviously, because they're from places like Atlanta or Boston.
07:20They hate them.
07:21They're like, dude, it's been 46 days of terror.
07:24He's like, dude, they haven't lost in 46 days.
07:27That's the craziest stat.
07:29And I'm glad that it's over with.
07:31And we've got a hell of a series lined up for Friday night.
07:34But Wednesday night.
07:36Game 4, Wednesday, 8.30.
07:37The Dream's playing tonight.
07:39Atlanta at Chicago.
07:41Quinn Snyder gets an extension.
07:43He will be on with us tomorrow.
07:45I hope so, yes.
07:46Okay.
07:47Yeah, he's thrilled.
07:48Hawks are thrilled.
07:50They're building something.
07:51Those two wins over the Knicks look bigger and bigger as you get deeper into it.
07:54And big draft coming up.
07:56Two first-round picks.
07:57Have big decisions to make on guys like Jonathan Kaminga and, obviously, C.J. McCallum.
08:04But the Hawks are trending up.
08:06And Quinn Snyder will be here for a while.
