00:00vai ser uma verdadeira void into the unknown.
00:02É verdade, muito mix,
00:03as they go through the right-hand.
00:05Of course, I notice
00:06as one set of woodscreen wipers went,
00:08a couple more did, as you said,
00:09and then going through
00:09as off the road goes the 22,
00:11so that off the road goes Aaron Tipler
00:13as he tracks his way through.
00:14There's Molly Pugh
00:15in the third of the Bromley Motorsport BMWs,
00:18of which all three of them
00:19are towards the back of that group.
00:20So in, so fourth, sixth, and seventh
00:23at this point,
00:23because Simon Waterfall's
00:24at the back of the lead group.
00:25So into the chicane
00:27for the first time
00:28under brakes in what could be a game.
00:30It's like unknown conditions,
00:31the shoes,
00:32tail-side and off the road
00:33into the barrens of Aidan Hassan.
00:34That's a big shun
00:35and up onto its side.
00:37So I'm afraid, unfortunately,
00:38that will have to be a red flag,
00:39I'm certain,
00:39because that's on its side.
00:41And Simon Waterfall,
00:42through all of that,
00:42is going to go into the lead,
00:43but I think it will be short-lived.
00:45And as you said,
00:45red flag immediately.
00:46No surprise,
00:47the race has been stopped.
00:48And of course,
00:48the first immediate sight
00:50is that thought
00:51is that Aidan Hassan
00:52hopefully is okay.
00:53But it was just simply
00:54just getting caught out
00:55and either hitting a bump
00:56or just the conditions
00:56on the exit
00:57of the chicane,
00:58put the power down.
00:59BMW's a rear-wheel drive,
01:00of course,
01:01got the twitch on,
01:02couldn't save it,
01:02and unfortunately,
01:04catapulted straight
01:04into the barriers
01:05and ending up on its side.
01:06And when that happens,
01:07effectively like it was yesterday
01:08with the DS3
01:10that we had off
01:10from the DS3 Cup race,
01:11it's an automatic red flag
01:12in that sense.
01:13And we have to go again
01:16before barely even completing
01:17a lap of this race.
01:18Yes, Aidan getting out of the car,
01:20that's good news,
01:21but that's going to take a while
01:22to remove the car.
01:24It's just in an awkward position,
01:25isn't it?
01:26up against the barrier
01:27on its side.
01:28That's not going to be
01:29the work of a moment
01:30to get the car recovered.
01:36And so the marshals spring
01:41into action
01:42to go and collect
01:44the Aidan Hassan car.
01:50and, yes,
01:51this is going to be,
01:52I fear,
01:52a reasonably lengthy delay.
01:55So Aston out of the car.
01:58The rectus L barriers
01:59hopefully have done
02:01a decent amount
02:02to soften the impact there,
02:05at least.
02:06It's broken the rear wing off,
02:07but that's easily replaced.
02:09But, yes,
02:10to get the car
02:12back out
02:13from the barrier
02:16and then fix
02:17the barrier
02:18is going to take
02:19probably 10 or 15 minutes,
02:20I would have thought.
02:21But we'll wait to see.
02:22The marshals,
02:24as previously discussed,
02:26very efficient.
02:27They're good
02:27at what they do
02:29and they hopefully
02:30will be able to get
02:31things moving again
02:31before too much longer.
02:33But I think we are now
02:33starting to venture into
02:35the point at which
02:36races might have to
02:37start being shortened
02:38because we were already
02:41fighting delays
02:42earlier on in the day.
02:43This race started,
02:44I think,
02:45about five minutes late.
02:47We don't have a huge amount
02:48of wiggle room
02:48at the end of the day.
02:50That's an odd place
02:52for a car to end up
02:53flush against the wall,
02:55but on its side.
02:57and of course
02:58you can't just push it
02:59back over onto its wheels
03:00because its wheels
03:01are facing the wall.
03:03So I actually don't know
03:04how they're going to
03:05do this.
03:07I'm quite intrigued
03:07to see what processes
03:09the marshals
03:12work through here
03:13to get the car back
03:16on its wheels
03:17because you don't really
03:19want to roll it over
03:21on its roof, of course.
03:22That can do even more damage.
03:26So can they lift it
03:27on its side?
03:28This is a real headache,
03:29isn't it,
03:30for the recovery crews.
03:31They've got the
03:33live snatch vehicle,
03:34actually,
03:34the JCB there
03:36to assist with this,
03:38but
03:39genuinely intrigued
03:40as to what they're going to do.
03:43So rain,
03:44I don't think ever materialised
03:46into proper rain,
03:47if you like.
03:48It was just a tiny shower,
03:49but it came at the worst
03:50possible point
03:51because
03:54the cars obviously
03:55were on cold tyres
03:56still,
03:57which won't have helped.
03:59And
04:01with the nature
04:02of these cars
04:02being rear wheel drivers,
04:03Scott said,
04:04it's very,
04:05very easy
04:06to lose control
04:08when it starts
04:09getting a bit slippery.
04:14and
04:15yeah,
04:16the
04:19rear of the cars
04:20snapping sideways there.
04:22Ah,
04:22so they're going to
04:24sort of twist it,
04:25aren't they?
04:25I think they've attached
04:26a rope to the front
04:27of the car.
04:28They're going to twist it
04:28around so that it's
04:33now
04:34not flush
04:35against the wall
04:36and then roll it
04:37over onto its wheels.
04:38that's what I think
04:39they're going to do.
04:39So that's,
04:42I knew there'd be a plan
04:43and indeed there is.
04:46But
04:48certainly not your
04:48standard recovery
04:51procedure this.
04:52Someone making a racket
04:53down in the pit lane,
04:54not sure what that was
04:54all about.
04:55But
04:56Aidan Hassan's car
04:58is going no further
04:59in this race.
04:59I'll be intrigued to see
05:00how much damage
05:01is done to that though
05:01because it was a nice
05:03sort of
05:04soft impact
05:05if you like
05:06up against the
05:07rector cells
05:08as soft as it can be.
05:09That cushions the impact.
05:11It didn't go straight
05:11into the tyre wall
05:12which would have
05:13ripped the
05:14back of the car
05:15to pieces.
05:15So he might have
05:16got away without
05:16too much damage there.
05:18They might just be able
05:18to get that car out
05:19for
05:21race two
05:21which is
05:22at about
05:23half past five
05:24in theory
05:25this afternoon.
05:27Now you can see
05:28some of the
05:29older
05:29conversations
05:29with the
05:29conversation.
