00:22Hedges, Thomas, Bocusem, Clac, as o campo vem para o turno 20.
00:26Looking for the green flag with just ten minutes to go in the second to last race of the season.
00:32Stiak leads the freight train down the front straightaway up to turn number one.
00:36And you wonder what Tyler Maxson's thinking as he shakes to the inside.
00:40Thinks about the move on Aaron Johnson, but then thinks better of it.
00:43His teammate Cole Kleck's under fire, but trouble on the main straightaway.
00:47Safety car's going to be called back out.
00:49And a Porsche Cup car has lost the right front and is smoking.
00:53Now, that might be too much to ask for to try and get the race resumed.
00:59We'll see.
00:59Three cars with heavy damage.
01:01Full course yellow is out once again.
01:04Involved in that appeared to be Kyle Washington.
01:06I think Marco Cerrone.
01:08The champion elect in Solaris Aviation Masters was also involved.
01:13And I'm not sure who the third car was just yet.
01:16But three cars heavily damaged just after the restart.
01:19Down the front straightaway and a lot of fluid down on the track as well, Arjuna.
01:24Yeah, we'll wait to see if we get some updates on our timing.
01:28I think you're right though that Washington, Cerrone and maybe Matt Smith as well,
01:33the third car involved.
01:35You can see Cerrone on the pit exit side of the track.
01:40Washington on the opposite side.
01:43So clearly it may be a checkup or something because the drivers peeled out of that final
01:49corner and something clearly found them, caught them by surprise coming back to the green flag.
01:58We'll have to wait and see.
01:59There's lots of debris scattered across that pit straight.
02:02But the drivers are going to have to remember that if they do get a restart,
02:07they've got to have the Pirellis in the operating window underneath them.
02:10And that's why they're working so hard.
02:12Great to see Kyle Washington getting out of that 32.
02:15Yeah, Kyle Washington won a GT3 championship just a couple of weeks ago
02:20and also won the Indy 8 hour overall back in Carrera Cup for the first time in quite some time.
02:26There is Cerrone.
02:27Good news for him is that he had wrapped the championship up well ahead of time
02:31because that ACI Motorsports machine looks decidedly secondhand and good spot there, Arjuna.
02:37It is the 74 of Matt Smith who will not see the checkered flag here today.
02:42You can see the amount of fluid that has come out of that car.
02:45Radiator clearly punctured and leaving fluid all over the front straightaway here at Circuit of the Americas.
02:51Look at all the debris as well.
02:53That might mean that the field would have to run through the pit lane.
02:56I suspect to try and avoid all of that.
02:59Yeah, and you can see how it's slewn from first, I would assume, right to left
03:04and then after some contact left to right.
03:07Let's watch out of the final corner.
03:09So they power up out of turn 20.
03:12The pro drivers begin to work their way through.
03:16Washington has a bit of contact once, twice, thrice.
03:20So Matt Smith's maybe slightly come to the left.
03:23It doesn't look like a big amount of contact initially,
03:27but once they kind of hook door handles,
03:29Marco Cironi is trying to avoid it,
03:31but Matt Smith takes a big hit into the wall with the right sides,
03:35as does Washington.
03:37Yeah, all three took some pretty serious impacts there.
03:40Cironi appeared to be the innocent bystander.
03:43It looked like he had pulled to the left just to get out of that mess
03:46as it was erupting in front of him, and he ended up in the line of fire there.
03:51So three cars eliminated with one fell swoop,
03:56and it has neutralized this race with under 10 minutes to go with it.
04:02It's effectively neutralized the Mobile Pro Class Championship as well,
04:06and we'll try and get it confirmed, but I believe as they run this would be enough
04:12for Tyler Maxson to earn his maiden crown in Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
04:19Watch the aftermath and the fluid seeping out the front of Washington's 32.
04:26One thing just to note is that coming out of that final corner,
04:30the track, you can run wide and then you want to blend back onto the racing surface,
04:36kind of avoid the blue painted tarmac,
04:39and maybe that was part of what had led to the initial hooking of the door handles.
04:45Field has not been sent down pit lane,
04:48but they are very carefully picking their way through the debris.
04:52I would assume the marshals have cleared a path for the competitors to get through,
04:58probably only a Porsche Cup cars width or so, so far.
05:03But yeah, five minutes left on the clock.
05:05Let's wait for the official word, but it's going to take at least another four minutes
05:11to get back around, I would say.
05:14So even if the safety team was able to get this all cleaned up
05:19and recover all three vehicles inside of the next four minutes,
05:23still leaves a bit of work for us to do to get even one more lap of this race underway.
05:28Yeah, we're up against it, but all credit to the track services crew here at Circuit of the Americas.
05:33You could see they were hustling, trying to clean up that debris.
05:36guys can expect them to get about that?
05:36said they were putting on ourmus on the things
