01:00You know what that's like, right?
01:02Well, for the Yankees, that younger sibling is Jazz Chisholm Jr.
01:05Back on May 15th, Jazz started wearing John Carlos Stanton's pants to break out of a slump,
01:10and the hand-me-downs have worked.
01:11Over his last 18 games, he's hitting over 300 with a 914 OPS.
01:16Then on Sunday, he found another way to keep some star power in the lineup.
01:20With Aaron Judge on the IL, Jazz borrowed the three-time MVP's bat, without asking, by the way,
01:26and promptly launched a three-run homer in the eighth inning.
01:28So as the Yankees open a series in Cleveland on Monday,
01:31I doubt they're going to stop Jazz now from borrowing a little magic from his injured teammates.
02:35La van a revisar.
04:06Rocchio.
04:06Pisa la almohadilla con el guante.
04:08Bueno, señoras y señores.
04:10Eso es.
04:12Alguien que merece un guante de oro.
04:14Qué buena jugada para Brian Rocchio.
04:18Manteniendo el juego 5 a 5 en 8 entradas.
04:22Nos fuimos en extra innings.
04:25Cody Bellinger en 2 y 2.
04:27Rolling por el campo corto.
04:29Esa pelota pasó con ojos.
04:30Va hacia la izquierda.
04:31Stephen Cuan la toma y dispara hacia la goma.
04:34Quieto en el plato.
04:36Bonen out.
04:37En tercera.
04:40A Schumann.
04:40Pero, Bellinger.
04:43Impulso 2.
04:47Ahora en el cierre del inning número 10.
04:50Brian Rocchio en 3 y 2.
04:51Dos outs.
04:52Rolling por segunda.
04:53Chisholm.
04:54Por debajo del brazo.
04:56Y el out en primera.
04:57Ganaron los Yankees el primero de esta serie.
04:597 por 5.
05:00They win their first extra inning game of the season.
05:06I think we're definitely going to maybe have to win more games kind of like this with a little bit
05:11more of a team effort.
05:12I mean, the guy's probably the best hitter on the planet and he wins games for us by himself at
05:18times.
05:18Definitely on the offensive side.
05:20So, you know, we may have to do some things a little bit different like tonight, whether that's just moving
05:26runners or stealing bases.
05:28I mean, stuff we're already trying to do, but it might take a little bit of that and, you know,
05:34that's what it's going to take until he's back.
05:38Despite being down a pair of former MVPs with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton on the I.L., they got
05:43the win on Monday thanks to another pair of former MVPs.
05:47Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger combined to drive in five of the Yankees' seven runs.
05:51Goldschmidt has seven homers in 21 RBI in his last 27 games, while Bellinger has 28 RBI in his last
05:5834 contests.
06:05Now they're in the middle of Boston against the Rays of Tampa in Tropicana Field.
07:44Jonathan Aranda, frente a Connell Early.
08:18Taylor Wolfe viene a batear.
08:20Recibe boleto.
08:25Ahora salió el robo de base.
08:27Llega a salvo.
08:59Mickey Gasper.
09:01Rolling de frente al camarero.
09:04Y se da el out.
09:06Ganaron los Rays.
09:07Tres a una.
09:08Sobre los Medias Rojas de Boston en Tropicana Field.
09:10Tres a una.
09:22Tres a una.
09:23Homers during his 22 game on base streak.
09:26The Rays improved to 15-6 against their own division this season.
09:30They're also 22-9 at the trough this year.
09:32And that's the best home record in baseball.
09:36Coming up, can Donnie Baseball pick up a win north of the border against his former team?
09:41Well, it sure helps when you have baseball's best pitcher on the mound.
09:45We've got the highlights next.
09:50Blue Jays lead by just one run.
09:54And Rojas fighting his way on base.
09:57It's in the air.
09:58Left field.
09:58This ball's got some carry.
10:00It is gone!
10:02And game seven is tied!
10:06Two outs right now.
10:07Base is empty.
10:084-4 score.
10:09Top of the 11.
10:10Smith, it's a high fly ball.
10:12The deep left field.
10:13It's got a chance.
10:14It is gone!
10:16It's Will Smith in game seven.
10:19The Dodgers lead for the first time.
10:22One out from the bottom of the 11.
10:235-4 Dodgers in game seven.
10:26Yamamoto against Alejandro Kirk.
10:28Bounces right.
10:29Up to the middle.
10:30Pits to the back.
10:31Over to first.
10:32To beat the champ.
10:34You've got to knock him out.
10:35The Dodgers stand tall and win back-to-back titles.
10:44It's been 220 days since the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays in game seven in Toronto to capture
10:51back-to-back World Series titles.
10:53One of the biggest storylines surrounding that fall classic was whether Blue Jays bench coach
10:58Don Mattingly could finally win his first World Series ring after more than four decades
11:03in professional baseball.
11:04Well, it wasn't meant to be.
11:06Fast forward to Monday and Donnie baseball is back north of the border for the first time
11:11since that heartbreaking loss.
11:13Only now, he's leading the Phillies, a club that's rediscovered its championship aspirations
11:18under his watch.
11:20Since taking over for Rob Thompson on April 28th, Mattingly has guided Philadelphia to a
11:2526-11 record, the second best mark in the majors during that span.
11:31Will this year finally be the year?

15:08No me gusta terminar mi inning completo.
15:16Even though I had 100 pitches close to them.
15:19Y obviamente, un big thank you to the manager for trusting me with that.
15:22And I told them that after the game.
15:24No only because it was, you know, gladi, but it was more about, you know,
15:28having a run on third, nobody out, and then striking out the side.
15:30That was it.
15:33It's rare to see Christopher Sánchez allow any runs,
15:36but he still dominated the Blue Jays on Monday.
15:39He struck out 10 and allowed just two runs in seven innings.
15:42In seven starts since the start of May,
15:44Sánchez is 6-0 with an ERA well under one.
15:47He's punched out 63 while walking only five during that span.
15:57Vámonos, Anaheim.
15:58Trey Mancini regresando por primera vez desde el 2023.

19:23when the A's kick off their week-long homestand in the desert.
19:26Viva Las Vegas, next.
19:52Viva Las Vegas, next.
19:58Recorded 12 outs, and 10 of them were strikeouts.
20:02I mean, another whale of an effort.
20:04That was an outing that will go up with some of the best we'll see this year.
20:09Kyle Harrison.
20:10It's a name we found ourselves saying a lot recently.
20:13Now it's not quite as much as Jacob Mizorowski.
20:16Yet.
20:17While the Miz gets all the Brewers headlines,
20:19it's distracted from Harrison's ability to climb into fourth in ERA in the majors this season
20:24among pitchers with at least 50 innings.
20:26Going 6-0 in his last seven starts, he will attack a new challenge on Monday.
20:31The Brewers will travel to Nevada,
20:33where the A's will play regular season home games for the first time since the 90s.
20:38The site is home to the A's AAA team,
20:40and the temperatures are expected to be in triple digits this week.
20:45Can Harrison and the Brewers handle the heat?
20:48Let's find out.

31:10A wild one.
31:11Well, Josh Naylor had a grand old time on Monday.
31:15He went two for four with a grand slam in Seattle's win over Baltimore.
31:18Naylor has destroyed the Orioles since the start of the 2023 season.
31:22He's batting 380 with 28 RBI and an OPS close to 1100 in 20 games against the O's during that

32:14Esa pelota en la pista de seguridad.
32:16Dan un salto.

33:11Una maravilla de swing.
33:12Logan Webb en su actuación.
33:16Iba dominando los bateadores uno tras otro.
33:21Viene Logan Webb.
33:24Swing y abanica la brisa.

34:40Still to come, JJ Weatherholt may have a rookie of the year trophy in his future.
34:45But before he claims that title, he stopped by MLB Network to hang with the MLB Central crew.
34:50We've got that, plus the best plays from around the big.
34:55They are fun.
34:56JJ Weatherholt's another leadoff homer.
34:59Kids born ahead.
35:00The atmosphere that you have in this building continues to grow.
35:04He's just tied his career high.
35:06The tarps off crowd chanting MVP.
35:10Gives you a chance to win pretty much every time out.
35:12He has been outstanding, and I mean outstanding.
35:16Welcome to the new bar.
35:17They don't give in.
35:19There's not one big name, but these guys are having fun, and I'm excited about this year.
35:25Not many would have predicted the St. Louis Cardinals would be in the NL Central hunt this season,
35:30but they currently are sitting in second place in the division behind Milwaukee,
35:33while also owning the top wild card spot in the National League.
35:37A big reason for their surprising success has been the all-around play of rookie standout shortstop,
35:42JJ Weatherholt, and the strong pitching of former first-round pick Michael McGreevey.
35:47The pair of Redbirds stopped by MLB Network Studios on Monday to hang out with the MLB Central crew.
35:52Check it out.
35:53How would you describe this season so far?
35:56It's been awesome.
35:57I mean, a lot of expectations come in this season for the St. Louis Cardinals.
36:00There's a lot of people saying, oh, the rebuild's going to take a while.
36:03And I think that was perfect for the guys in the clubhouse coming in, just being able to play free.
36:07There's no expectations.
36:08Not playing tight, just playing loose.
36:10And I think the product on the field shows just how great and freeing being able to play that way
36:15is.
36:16Yeah.
36:16JJ?
36:17I think, you know, the way I put it is it's just been fun.
36:19I mean, we've been able to win some really good games, just play competitively, you know,
36:23kind of embrace the culture that we're trying to build.
36:25And it's been showing up on the field and the dugout.
36:28And, you know, yeah, just a ton of fun.
36:30And let's talk about some of this fantastic rookie season that JJ Weatherholt holds.
36:35Yeah, you know what, Jay?
36:35I guess when you go back and making your debut, I guess the biggest thing is getting comfortable.
36:41Yeah.
36:41Trying to find your way and, you know, you've got a packed house.
36:44How'd you feel?
36:46Yeah, I mean, right?
36:47I felt fine.
36:48I mean, this made me feel a little bit better.
36:50This allows you to feel good.
36:51You know, but I'm looking at this.
36:53I mean, dead central, low leg kick.
36:55I'm like, okay, so once you get comfortable, we'll get into your best in a minute.
36:59I think you showed up, boys, but a big moment for you.
37:02That was pretty wild.
37:03Definitely couldn't have drawn that up any better.
37:06And then here, Marcia, this is a walk-off, right?
37:10So you got your first home out the way.
37:12You got the walk-off out the way.
37:13Your boys come kill you at second base.
37:18You got to tell me again.
37:19How's this one feel?
37:20Is this bigger than the home or this is – the walk-off is a little different.
37:25Yeah, I mean, the walk-off is crazy, but I still think the homer was a little cool.
37:28And then inside the park – well, I won't say it's a little late inside the park.
37:31But what did you decide, like, I got to score?
37:33Because Tatis actually wasn't in a rush to get the ball.
37:36So you kind of had a little time to get around second.
37:39At third, are you thinking, I'm holding up, or you got to get it going?
37:42No, I mean, I saw Pop waving me the whole time.
37:45I was just running my heart out.
37:48I mean, look at this.
37:49This is Cardinals rookie war leaders among position players.
37:52Now, you've got all time – I mean, there's some great names on here.
37:56Stan Musial, Albert Poole, Mason Wynn's on the list, Rogers Hornsby.
38:00And then look at my man.
38:02J.J. Weatherholt's on pace for a war of 6.9 in 2026.
38:08Now, don't even think about it.
38:10I don't even really know what it means.
38:11Don't even think about it.
38:13All-star game.
38:15How do you feel where you're at defensively right now?
38:17I feel solid, yeah.
38:18I mean, we've put a ton of work in to try and just get better out there, being confident in
38:21my reads and my footwork.
38:23And it's definitely been showing up, so I've just got to continue to stay aggressive.
38:26What's one defensive fundamental that you're always thinking about in the record?
38:31I think just pre-pitch has been the biggest thing this year.
38:34I've got really quick reactions, but, you know, we've tried to push that to if I can get off the
38:40ball really, really good to start,
38:42then I'll get to even more balls, and I think that's really good.
38:45And I love Cliff the way this team plays.
38:47Yeah, it reminds me of the old-school St. Louis card.
38:50Putting the ball in play, going at first to third, stealing bases.
38:54I like this, too, Ruffo.
38:56This is a pretty cool board, right?
38:5826 players in the 95th percentile or higher.
39:01In base running value and fielding run value, look at the company that J.J. Weatherholt is keeping.
39:06You've got Bobby Witt, Jr. and Nico Horner and J.J. Weatherholt.
39:10And both of those dudes rich.
39:11Yes.
39:14Alex, why don't you and Michael talk pitching here?
39:16I'm going to trade places.
39:17Why don't you get right there?
39:18Yeah, I wanted to talk because he pitched yesterday and, you know, pitched really well.
39:23So, I mean, look at Michael's, you know, season so far.
39:26I mean, he's pitching to a sub-3 RA, you know, in the 70s.
39:30He doesn't walk many guys, but the quality starts.
39:32That's the thing.
39:33Every time he's out there, I mean, you're giving your team a chance to win every time.
39:37Tied for eighth most of the league.
39:38But what I love about, like, when I was watching the game yesterday and seeing some of his starts is
39:43he does it a little bit differently than a lot of guys.
39:46He doesn't – you don't have the 98 to 100, right?
39:48But you have seven pitches that you mix it with.
39:51And that's what I love.
39:52Like, you would be a guy that I love to catch, right?
39:54Like, your type of pitcher was the guy that I wanted to catch because you could be unpredictable, right?
40:00You can mix things up, you know, with your pitch sequences.
40:03And one of seven pitchers with at least six pitches where he's using it at least 10% of the
40:10time.
40:10So, it is the full arsenal for Michael McGreevy.
40:14How big is your pitch?
40:16I certainly don't use it.
40:18Yvonne Herrera is my guy back there.
40:21The Cardinals have had a lot of players step up this season, but J.J. Weatherholt has been a shining
40:26star for St. Louis.
40:28He has the best odds to win NL Rookie of the Year right now thanks to his nine home runs
40:33and 2.7 war.
40:34But don't sleep on Sal Stewart, Nolan McClain, or Carson Bench because this race will go down to the wire.
40:41Time now for the Capital One Premier Plays of the Night.
40:46Braley back, he's at the track, he's at the wall, and he makes the catch.
40:50It's hit towards third, caught by Bull.
40:52Ball rattled a bit in his glove, but he hangs on.
40:55Ball on the ground to third.
40:56Okamoto dives to stop it.
40:57He'll go to the plate and get the lead runner ball.
41:00Coming on, Sade Don.
41:02He's got to hurry.
41:03He slides and makes the play.
41:05Beautiful defense out in center.
41:06Slaps one to right field, and a diving catch by Nathan Lukas.
41:12And he hits it up the middle behind second.
41:14Pulled by Rookie of the Night, steps through, double play.
41:18What a play by Rookie of the Night.
41:20Rounding to Suarez on the backhand.
41:22Bear positioned perfectly, and they retire Bulldogs.
41:26Back goes Lyle, back goes Cruz on the warning track.
41:29Both there, they collide, and Cruz caught the ball.
41:32Premier Plays are presented by Capital One.
41:35Oh, sorry, didn't see you there.
41:37Bueller.
41:38How low can Luke go?
41:41Let's get to the phone lines.
41:44The laboratory.
41:51We've got the absolute cutest moment from Sunday in Detroit.
41:55A young Tigers fan named Cece made her own pair of McGonagals.
42:01You'll love it.
42:02Supporting Tigers rookie Kevin McGonagal.
42:04McGonagal, not long after the broadcast showed Cece, check it out.
42:08He launched a home run.
42:10After the game, the star shortstop gave Cece a shout-out.
42:14Told her, hey, keep wearing those McGonagals.
42:17I think we can all see that both Cece and Kevin have bright futures ahead.
42:21Thanks for hanging out.
42:23We'll see you next time.
42:25It's a little bit more menacing as a pass rusher than he is there on the mound.
42:28It's a Vegas bomb!
42:30It is an absolute home run derby.
42:32What a moment for Trey Mancini.
42:34First major league at bat in nearly three years.
42:37It's true love when they share popcorn.
42:39Kermaine has hit his third home run in the last three days.
42:43Yeah, see ya.
42:44Ain't worth no doubt about that.
42:46It started to rain and they broke out the trash bags.
42:49Another fine outing by Christopher Sanchez as he goes seven strong with ten strikeouts.
