00:00The question isn't if we're going to act, it's how, and I have no doubt we need to take significant
00:06and serious steps to give kids a better life as they're growing up.
00:11We're looking at whether there should be a blanket ban on social media for under-16s, whether we should put
00:17restrictions on features and functions like stranger pairing, live streaming,
00:22whether there should be curfews overnight because loads of parents are worried about their kids staying up all night, or
00:28breaks in infinite scrolling,
00:30and we're also looking at this issue of AI chatbots that have really come to the fore in recent years.
00:37We're looking at all of those issues and we will act to make sure kids are safe and that we
00:42give them the best possible start in life.
