04:06saying specifically that, we have witnessed cases in states such as Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, and Kebi where abducted victims regained

04:52troops of the Joint Task Force, Northeast Operation Hadankai, OPHK, comprising special forces and troops of Sector 1,
05:01have successfully rescued 360 abductees from a heavily fortified Jumatu Ali's Sala Lidawati Wal Jihad,
05:09Jazz, enclave deep within the Mandara Mountains area of southern Borno State.
05:14The operation, which was the culmination of weeks of painstaking intelligence preparation,
05:20covered reconnaissance, and operational planning, resulted in the safe recovery of men, women,
05:26and children who had been held in captivity under harsh conditions after being abducted from several
05:32communities, particularly within the Ingosh Axis. The successful rescue underscores the growing
05:38operational reach, intelligence dominance, and tactical superiority of OPHK in denying terrorists
05:45freedom of action and protecting vulnerable populations across the theater. The operation
05:50was initiated following the receipt of credible and corroborated intelligence from multiple sources

09:05commended the courage, professionalism, and exceptional discipline displayed by all personnel involved in

18:57region. In the same interview, Barrett also called for Iran and the US to reach a peace deal,
19:03describing the current situation as, untenable. We feel the consequences of the blockade of the
19:09Strait of Hormuz on a daily basis, at the pump, and more generally with its impact on the global economy

20:22This, the Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga seems to have wrongly or deliberately attributed the
20:29dissemination of the acclaimed Leap telephone voice record to Vareed Duckman in a tweet the Presidential
20:34spokesperson issued via ex-social media platform at about 11am on Wednesday morning, which, the Presidential
20:42spokesperson said, this VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of
20:49a fake audio of President Tanubou, this is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform.
20:55A careful study of some news media reports over the acclaimed Leap telephone audio record, shows, some of the media
21:03attributed the dissemination and the origin of the acclaimed Leap telephone record to Vareed Duckman, but
21:09none of the media companies was able to satisfy the basic principles or standards of news writing and
21:15publishing, which requires the media companies to provide or state when and where Vareed Duckman disseminated
21:21such information, an action that shows there may be high-level conspiracy to arrest and keep the anti-government
21:28activist in a perpetual detention till after 2027 general elections with possible trumped up
21:35allegations of treasonable count charges or alleged acts to endanger national security, for the purpose
21:41of clarity, trumped up allegation, according to Cambridge Online Dictionary. It is an allegation that is,
21:48deliberately based on false information so that someone will be accused of doing something wrong and
21:53punished. Our investigation indicates that a video published by Vareed Duckman via his Instagram
21:59account on Tuesday May 26, 2026 about President Bola Ahmed Tanubou 2023 pre-election campaign promises,
22:08wherein, the President had said if he does not give Nigerians stable power or electricity supply in his
22:15first four years in office, the people should not vote for him for the second time, the video published
22:21by Vareed Duckman while in China seems to be the one suspicious mischief makers altered and inserted the
22:27acclaimed leap telephone voice record of President Bola Ahmed Tanubou to create apparent false and misleading
22:34information capable of causing anarchy in the country with obvious intention to give the government the
22:39opportunity to harass, intimidate, arrest and detain the anti-government activist, Vareed Duckman till after the
22:462027 general elections. Verbatim, in quotes, Sahara reporters reported that, the Nigerian presidential
22:54aide, Bayo Onanuga, has lashed out at social media influencer, Martins Vincentotts, popularly known as VDM,
23:03over the circulation of what he described as a fake audio recording purportedly linked to President Bola
23:09Tanubou, insisting that the matter should attract legal consequences. In a statement issued on Wednesday,
23:15May 27, 2026, Onanuga accused VDM of abusing social media platforms through the dissemination
23:23of false information capable of misleading the public and damaging the image of the president.
23:28This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a
23:34fake audio of President Tanubou. This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform,
23:41Onanuga stated. The controversy followed a video posted earlier by Martins Vincentotts,
23:47also known as VDM, in which he claimed to have obtained an audio recording allegedly featuring
23:53President Tanubou speaking on the country's political situation, insecurity, and the 2027 elections.
24:01Introducing the recording in the video, VDM said, after this audio that I am about to play,
24:07I would ask if they cook Nigerians who will support Tanubou in 2027 or you guys are okay.
24:14The audio clip played in the video allegedly featured Tanubou making controversial remarks
24:19regarding attempts to remove him from office, insecurity in the southeast, and borrowing from
24:25the World Bank. In the purported recording, the voice alleged to be that of the president said,
24:31they have been trying to take me out of the position but it's not possible, mind you I am
24:35winning this election, I do not care whatever is happening, Nigerians deserve it. The voice in the
24:42audio further stated, because when I was running as a president, they did not want me, now all of a
24:48sudden they want me to rescue them from insecurity. Another section of the recording allegedly quoted
24:54the president as saying, I called Peter Obi to step down for me but he refused. I am not begging
25:01him
25:01again, I will do whatsoever in my mind and I will make sure the insecurity affects the people in southeast
25:08more. The purported audio also contained comments about foreign loans and insecurity, claiming, listen I am
25:15going to borrow more and more money from the World Bank, I won't like to stop this insecurity because if

25:29fund them. However, Onanuga dismissed the audio as fabricated and accused BDM of deliberately

25:42materials on social media poses serious dangers to public trust, national security, and democratic
25:49stability. The presidency has not indicated whether legal proceedings would immediately be initiated
