I love things. We all love things. Even more we love more things. Our relationship with stuff is the lengthiest romance of our life. This is the here’s-where-we’re-at of a consumerist who is as content as he is confused and as concerned as he careless in the prevalent culture of his time. Held together by my personal confessions, this film follows the most salient manifestations of consumer culture, from indebted shopping addict and euphoric Japanese brand-fetishists to the Bonfire of Brands. Breaking up always hurts, especially if there is nothing else to turn our devotion to – or is there?
