00:00In more information from China, nearly 30 million students across the country began
00:05taking the country's highly competitive university entrance exam, known as the Gaokao, on Saturday.
00:11The nationwide test is being held over two days, although some provinces will continue
00:16with additional exams through June 10. Authorities have tightened in anti-city measures this
00:21year, banning students from bringing mobile phones, smart watches, smart glasses or other
00:26wireless devices into testing centers. Education officials warn that simply
00:31possessing such devices during the exam is considered a violation, while sharing test
00:36materials online could result in criminal charges. Students caught cheating, faced the
00:40cancellation of all exam scores and possible restrictions on future national tests.
00:45Officials also introduced upgraded security systems, including smart inspection gates,
00:51enhanced surveillance and digital monitoring tools.
00:58I think definitely students will be nervous from the pressure of the Gaokao, but through
01:03the Gaokao, they experience growth, so the results is one thing, and the process is another.
01:09I believe the students can gain new perspectives through this process.
01:17Everyone wants to contribute to society in their own way, even if methods vary from person to person.
01:23The Gaokao is a final stage for high school, but it's the starting point for things to come later in
01:30life.
01:30Let's do that.
