00:01I'm just going to leave this information here and y'all let me know what you think about it,
00:07especially considering that, you know, Democrats have been saying that this type of stuff just
00:13doesn't happen. Check it out. One out of every four migrants that has come to Denver has come
00:20to Denver Health for health care on average for about two and a half visits. So we saw 20,000
00:25visits last year that we attribute to the migrant population. That's a lot of care that we
00:29weren't planning on giving. Not planning for those people to come in. And as he mentioned,
00:35they're coming in for maybe routine care. It's a trend across the country. Centers for Medicare
00:39and Medicaid Services says nationally in 2021 services, emergency services for someone who
00:45was undocumented patients that totaled around $7 billion the following year for $5.4 billion.
00:53And national statistics show that undocumented immigrants are less likely to have any type
00:58of insurance or even pay up to 60 percent. The CEO of Denver Health says that she is unable
01:03to properly care for her properties, her buildings, as well as her patients.
01:09We can't invest in the things that many other hospitals invest in. You know, during the cold spell,
01:16we just had a pipe burst and we had to take some beds out of operation. You know, had we
01:22been able
01:22to invest in that building. We might not have seen that happen. You know, Natasha, when we speak to
01:30some of these officials at a number of hospitals, they tell us that it is almost at a breaking point.
01:36They have to get more funding from federal officials or they have to get more private donations. They
01:40simply cannot take care of the influx of people who are coming in for treatment.
