00:00They've been there now 18 months.
00:02How are you as a family bearing up under this?
00:07That's not a very easy question to answer because day by day it changes.
00:11You know, there's times there we can't do anything,
00:14you don't see the end of the road,
00:16you're constantly batted back on proposed solutions.
00:19I think that's where the frustration builds,
00:21is that fundamentally we want our family members back, right?
00:24They're innocent people who've done no wrong.
00:28So it's difficult when there's reluctance to explore opportunities.
00:34That's what hurts the most when it's so quickly dismissed.
00:37You know, it's almost flippant.
00:40When these stories, these solutions, whatever you want to call them,
00:44come to light, you know, they're very, very quick to dismiss it
00:47and say, you know, no, no, that's not going to be the solution.
00:48We'd be very surprised if that's going to help.
00:50But it doesn't give us any closure as a family.
00:53You know, like I said at the top,
00:54it's why isn't this a good path forward?
00:57And if it's not, what is the path forward that you're going to take?
01:00So, you know, we have to keep strong for them.
01:04They're making sacrifices in Evin that we have to try and support out here.
01:09But it's tremendously tough, you know?
01:11Like I'm not speaking to my mum for a long time.
01:14It's hard.
01:17But we just want them home.
01:19We really miss them.
01:21You know, it's a long, long time.
01:24And I'm just worried about the impact and the longevity
01:27that this will have on them, their mental health,
01:30you know, their physical state,
01:32which I think is why it's important
01:34that we are doing everything that we can as a nation to get them home.
