00:00Wooo!
00:03Turn for the goal!
00:04Turn for the goal!
00:06We're running!
00:12Alright,
00:17now the majority will be watching
00:20the session for the Obor's penalty.
00:24Turn for the children!
00:25All right, run for gold! Run for the children!
00:55It's about men losing their wives when I was grieving.
01:00And one of the books I read was called From Grief to Love.
01:04It's about a man in England who walked the whole of England, 9,000 kilometers,
01:10in support of cervical cancer awareness.
01:13The original idea was to walk, but then I would have taken me a half a year.
01:16So I decided I'm going to run, and that would take me three months or 90 days.
01:21And the idea was to run 25 to 35.
01:24Sometimes it goes up to 40 kilometers a day for 4 to 5 days and resting for one day.
01:30And just carry on and carry on to cover every state.
01:34I finished off at Tatana Merdeka yesterday, and I'll be moving towards Penang,
01:39which is another 400 kilometers away.
01:42Along the way, I've met some wonderful people.
01:45People who join me on the run, some for a day, some for two.
01:49There's a Chegu Sakri that joined me for eight days.
01:51And I'm very pleased that he will be in Penang to run with me as well.
01:56And another interesting note is that the book that I read was by an author named Lawrence Carter.
02:03He's a British that lived in Washington.
02:05Six weeks ago, he ran with me in Johor for four days.
02:09He flew all the way from Washington to come and join me for four days.
02:14There was something I never expected for somebody I don't know to come all the way.
02:19So there are a lot of people that I don't know that are joining me.
02:22When I was in Johor, somebody pointed to me a shop called Motosikao Julie.
02:29And it is significant because Julie is my wife's name.
02:33Exact spelling, J-O-O-L-E-E.
02:36And I went to check with the owner what is the Chinese name.
02:41And sure enough, the Chinese name was exactly the same.
02:45That was my most memorable part of my whole visit.
02:49Gave me the impetus to finish 46 kilometers that day.
02:52And I felt that she's here with me all this journey that I'm running
02:58because that's always what we have intended to do, to see Malaysia.
03:04And this time, I hope she's proud of me that I'm doing something worthwhile
03:10to save children's lives, save children battling cancer.
