A 57-year-old woman lost her left leg after the SUV she was travelling in skidded off the road at KM341.5 of the East Coast Expressway 2 near the Paka R&R in Dungun on Friday (June 5).

Dungun Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Senior Fire Officer II Nor Hazamullah Abdullah said the victim suffered the injury when the vehicle veered off the road in the 5.41pm incident.

00:38According to him, the victim's left leg was severed below the knee and firefighters successfully

00:47Norhazamullah added that the severed limb was found inside the SUV and handed over to medical
00:52personnel at the scene.
00:53He said five people, a man and four women, were travelling in the vehicle from Kuala Terengganu
00:59to Kuantan when the accident occurred.
01:01The injured woman and the four other occupants, who also sustained injuries, were taken to Dungun
