00:00One of my favorite things about the episodes that I've seen is it kind of upends what I
00:03kind of thought Cape Fear was all about. Here, I found myself at times rooting for Max or
00:08disliking the mountains. How much of that moral complexity sort of drew you to this project?
00:16Well, I guess that's the fun part of this 10 episode journey where you don't know exactly
00:23what is true, what is not, who's what, what is hiding what. And that's the fun part of the
00:31characters that we all play that maybe it was not in their movie, in the movies, previous movies,
00:35because they were more constrained. And here we need, we have way more room to explore and to play
00:42with those elements. And that's what makes it interesting. Innately, we're questioning truth
00:47in a different way because the way we digest truth and information is so different. We
00:52are seeing so many different perspectives on a situation. So it allows for a lot of ambiguity
00:57in our perceptions. And, and I think that we, hearing you say that is great because that plays
01:03on that, you know, that really speaks to how, depending on who you're listening to, depending
01:09on who you're identifying with will be the person you believe to tell you the truth. So it's, it's
01:14an interesting journey in that way. Amy, you have a line read in episode one that I love so much.
01:19It's when Javier is like, why would you be, are you afraid of me? And you say, why would
01:23I be afraid of you? Are you afraid of me?
01:27Why would I be afraid of you?
01:30I don't know. Earlier tonight, you seemed on edge.
01:32Do you think she is afraid of him as a physical threat and what she thinks he could do? Or
01:36is
01:36she afraid of him as sort of a reminder of what she's maybe guilty or feels guilty about from
01:41the past? I think both are encompassed. She's, he feels very unpredictable. I have, you know,
01:49this vision that she sort of kept track of him a little bit in prison. And so she sort of
01:55understands
01:56that the person who went in is not the person coming out. And she doesn't fully understand what
02:02he's capable of and whether that's violence or exposure.
