00:00But let's get to Aaron Judge first.
00:02Man, unfortunately, out a minimum they're saying of four to six weeks due to ribs,
00:07but they're also looking at it being a possibility.
00:09You can go ahead and put it on the screen there.
00:11Yeah, that's a big dude, a very good player, very, very great player, really.
00:15But durability is starting to be a concern.
00:18And with that, so is the Yankees.
00:20So are the Yankees' chances of winning the World Series.
00:23They're saying four to six weeks at the minimum,
00:26but this apparently could be kind of complicated.
00:28They're trying to check if he has thoracic outlet syndrome,
00:31which would take him out the rest of the season if that was to happen,
00:34and you see him next year.
00:35There's no path for the Yankees to win a World Series if that man isn't 100%.
00:39And I'm a person who's an Aaron Judge fan.
00:42I know a lot of Yankees fans have been down on him for postseason failure,
00:45and a lot of people believe the reason the Yankees don't already have a World Series
00:49is because him dropping a fly ball.
00:51I recognize that that's out there.
00:53I'm in the room with somebody who believes that.
00:55But regardless of what we think about him overall,
00:57there is no path to a World Series for the Yankees
01:01without a healthy and cooking Aaron Judge.
01:05And it really gets me to thinking about something because, again,
01:08I'm an Aaron Judge fan.
01:10Him and Ohtani really have taken the game to new heights these last couple years,
01:15and I give him and Ohtani a lot of credit for that.
01:17But Ohtani's the one with the rings.
01:20And it got me to thinking about this.
01:22Now, the longest drought for the Yankees, and this is where the 09 comes into play,
01:27was 18 years, from 78 to 96.
01:31That was the gap in between World Series championships,
01:34and that's unfortunately the time where Don Mattingly was their best player,
01:38and that's why Don Mattingly, unfortunately, is ringless.
01:42But there's a new drought coming that's going to break that record if you're a Yankees fan.
01:47You can show the people.
01:48There's a new drought coming, Yankees fans, and I say this as a person who does not hate the Yankees.
01:53I've had in the past great respect for the Yankees,
01:56but the Yankees don't act like the Yankees anymore.
01:59You know who acts like the Yankees now?
02:00The Dodgers.
02:01That's where my respect goes.
02:03The Yankees are going to break this streak.
02:05The Yankees has now been 17 years.
02:07It's just simple math.
02:08You're now in 2026, and 2009 was the last championship.
02:13You guys can all do the math.
02:14That's 17 years, and you're not winning a World Series this year
02:16due to the judge injury.
02:19There's no chance.
02:20It's over.
02:21You know what that means.
02:23The odds of you winning next year with an older judge is even worse,
02:27and we may have a lockout, which may force a season not to happen.
02:31The drought is basically guaranteed that this, if you're a Yankees fan,
02:34and I don't care what age you are, you can be 100 years old, 50 years old,
02:38and everything in between, five years old,
02:40this is going to be the longest drought in franchise history,
02:44yet it doesn't get talked about because, oh, we make the playoffs every year.
02:50That's what people are supposed to care about in Kansas City.
02:54That's what people are supposed to care about in Baltimore.
02:56Yes, if the Orioles made it every year, great for them.
03:01You're the damn New York Yankees,
03:03and even Yankees fans don't act like Yankees fans anymore.
03:07It used to be a demand for a championship
03:11because we have to understand something about pro sports,
03:14and this is something that's troubled me about Jets fans.
03:17It troubled me as a Phillies fan for my entire existence until I was an adult.
03:22Remember, from the time I started watching baseball,
03:24I've shared this with people before, but if you don't know,
03:26well, you don't have to know.
03:27From the time I started watching baseball until I started in this business,
03:32my Phillies made the playoffs one time.
03:34They were good once.
03:36From the moment I started watching baseball,
03:38my dad took me to a game until I was working in sports.
03:42They were good once.
03:44Yet, if they had fireworks, they would sell out the building
03:47because we allowed it to happen.
03:48What has happened now with Yankees fans, in my opinion,
03:51is they've become too permissive.
03:53They've become permissive.
03:55And you're okay making the playoffs and being in the mix every year,
04:00and that does something for you.
04:01And that's a loser mentality.
04:06A loser mentality.
04:08At the end of the year, and no one's going to win every year,
04:11and I recognize that.
04:12But at the end of the year, one team wins.
04:14And that's the team that had the great season.
04:17There's tons of good seasons.
04:19Hey, the Pirates are above 500.
04:22Yeah, for them, that's a good season.
04:23But it's not a great season because there's only one championship,
04:27and they give them out every year.
04:28Okay, they give them out every year.
04:30Somebody's going to be the last team standing every single year.
04:34And the Yankees are about to break their longest streak in franchise history
04:39without being the last team standing,
04:41and a bunch of people just act like it's okay because they make the playoffs.
04:46And I'm just looking around at this slate of baseball,
04:49and there's a bunch of teams.
04:50My Phillies, who started off terrible, fired their manager,
04:52they've worked their way right close to the wild card.
04:55But guess what?
04:56They got a big payroll.
04:57And you know what I want them to come back and do?
04:59Add at the trade deadline and win the thing and be the last team
05:02because that, at the end of the day, with the big dogs, that's all that matters.
05:07Are the Yankees deciding that they're not the big dogs anymore?
05:10Because I noticed that with baseball talk when the summer comes around,
05:13talk about the Dodgers and all this stuff.
05:15All of a sudden, the Yankees are no longer even the top players anymore.
05:18What the hell has happened to y'all,
05:21and what the hell has happened to this great franchise?
05:23Oh, the new building sold out, and it's really expensive to get tickets.
05:26What does that do for you in October?
05:28October.
