Ukraine reported its largest drone and missile strike to date, blaming Russia for launching 805 drones and 13 missiles in an overnight assault that hit multiple cities including Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Odessa, and Sumy. The barrage damaged a Dnipro River bridge, caused power outages, and left about 40 people injured, 20 critically. Calling it a “new escalation,” President Volodymyr Zelensky urged global allies to ramp up pressure on Moscow, as talks on tougher sanctions gain momentum.

00:00:00And at the top of this hour, we're getting some breaking news.
00:00:03Massive drone attack on Ukraine.
00:00:05Ukraine claims biggest drone attack by Russia.
00:00:09And the entire attack was also caught on camera.
00:00:12Drones damaged Dnepro Bridge and multiple blasts rocked Ukraine's Kremenchuk.
00:00:18Ukraine claims 805 drones and 13 missiles fired overnight.
00:00:24Dozens of explosions shook Ukraine's central city of Kremenchuk,
00:00:30cutting power to some residents and also damaging a bridge across the Dnepro River.
00:00:35And this is what the Ukraine has claimed.
00:00:38So big breaking news that's coming in at this point is that there has been a massive drone attack on Ukraine.
00:00:43And Ukraine claims that this is the biggest drone attack by Russia.
00:00:47India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay is now joining us with more details on this attack
00:00:53that Ukraine claims is done by Russia.
00:00:55Pranay, over to you.
00:00:56Give us more details about the damage caused by this attack.
00:01:02The reports we are receiving suggest that around 40 people have been injured in these drone attacks
00:01:08in various cities, including the capital city of Kiev.
00:01:12The cities which got impacted by this drone attack are the Kiev, the capital of Ukraine,
00:01:19besides that the Kremenchuk, Odessa, Sumi, Kherson, the province, the various areas of Kherson province,
00:01:26besides that Odessa and Ziparesia.
00:01:31These are all places which came under attack.
00:01:33Around 40 people have been injured and out of which 25 critical,
00:01:37they are being given the medical care and being attended by the medical authorities there.
00:01:44And President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he has asked the allies and partners of the Ukraine
00:01:49that this is a new escalation by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his armed forces.
00:01:57And clearly this is the time that Russia should be, you know, put under additional pressure.
00:02:02On the other side, the U.S. President Donald Trump, when he was asked yesterday
00:02:06that are you considering the second phase of the sanctions, he gave an affirmative answer.
00:02:13He said that yes, I am considering the second phase or the next phase of the sanctions on Russia,
00:02:20the other secondary sanctions.
00:02:22So definitely there are concerns about this escalation.
00:02:26Because after the Alaska summit, Anjali, the expectations, the hopes are there,
00:02:32that there will be a negotiation, there will be some kind of a ceasefire.
00:02:36But contrary to that, there is an intensification of conflict as the Rashi Ukraine front is concerned.
00:02:42And there are no bilateral dialogues, there are no multilateral dialogues.
00:02:47And there seems to be no end to this conflict.
00:02:50Right. Pranay, do stay with us as we're getting some more breaking news related to the Russia-Ukraine war.
00:03:07And U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledges that the Russia-Ukraine conflict
00:03:12had proven to be harder to resolve than he anticipated.
00:03:16But we're also learning that more secondary sanctions on countries buying Russian oil
00:03:21can damage Moscow's economy.
00:03:23This is what the White House has said.
00:03:26Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said that the Russian economy will collapse
00:03:31if Washington and the European Union impose more secondary sanctions on countries
00:03:36that buy crude oil from Moscow.
00:03:39So Besant, in an interview, said that President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance
00:03:44had a very productive call with the President of the European Commission
00:03:47and who followed up with a call with him on Friday
00:03:51and they discussed what the U.S. and the European Union could do to put more pressure on Russia.
00:03:57Let's listen in.
00:03:57Are you ready to move to the second phase of sanctions against Russia or punishing Putin?
00:04:10How was your call with the President of the United States?
00:04:12We have some very interesting discussions.
00:04:16You know, Europe, certain European leaders are coming over to our country on Monday or Tuesday
00:04:21and individually.
00:04:25And I think we're going to get that settled.
00:04:27I think we're going to get it settled.
00:04:30We have to.
00:04:31You can't lose.
00:04:32You know, when they're losing 5,000 to 7,000 soldiers a week for no reason,
00:04:37you have to get it settled.
00:04:39And Pranay Upadhyay continues to stay with us.
00:04:43Pranay, this secondary sanction threat coming to the fore from the United States side
00:04:48and saying that more secondary sanctions on countries buying Russian oil can damage Moscow's economy.
00:04:54This is the claim that has been made by the White House.
00:04:56How do you see this?
00:04:59Definitely, this puts additional pressure on countries like India as well
00:05:02because we are purchasing Russian oil.
00:05:05And we have seen that how the Trump administration is putting pressure on India
00:05:10and accusing India of fueling this war.
00:05:14However, this is not the fact that we are fueling this oil, this war.
00:05:20But we are certainly buying Russian oil.
00:05:22And the way U.S. Treasury Secretary's Congress has said that if the United States and European countries
00:05:29put pressure on these countries, those who are buying the Russian oil,
00:05:33this is going to be a contest between the Russian economy and the Ukrainian forces,
00:05:40that how long Ukrainian forces can withhold their territory or the Russian economy,
00:05:45which could sustain the pressure or sustain this war.
00:05:48So definitely, the U.S. or Trump administration is looking at more secondary sanctions.
00:05:55And for that, as we have heard, U.S. President Donald Trump has said that
00:05:58he has called and he has invited the European leaders and he will be meeting them individually.
00:06:05Recently, there was a phone call mentioned by the U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Beck
00:06:10and by the U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance as well,
00:06:13to Ursula von der Neyen, who is the European Commission Chief.
00:06:18And after that, the European Commission Chief also held a phone call with Prime Minister Modi as well.
00:06:23You know, the discussion was around FTA, India-EU-FTA negotiations, which is progressing well.
00:06:30But we have to see that, you know, how the secondary sanctions are being bummed out
00:06:37and how these negotiations can progress because the pressure is mounting globally
00:06:43because if this comes to an act, then definitely there will be larger concern about the global crude oil prices.
00:06:54And we have to see that if the global crude oil prices go high,
00:06:58then it will put additional pressure on many economies, including India.
00:07:02Absolutely. Pranay, thank you so much for those details and for that context.
00:07:06And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:07:13Ukrainian President Zelenskyy calls on allies for support after Russia launches biggest air attack of the war.
00:07:22Ukraine's President on Sunday called on allies for support after Russia launched a huge drone and missile barrage,
00:07:29which left four people dead in this attack.
00:07:33The strikes caused damage across the north, south and east of the country,
00:07:37including the cities of Zaporizhia, Kravirih and Orissa, as well as in the Sumi and Chernihiv regions.
00:07:45And this is what a Ukrainian president has claimed.
00:07:48And Russia launched its largest air attack of the war on Ukraine overnight,
00:07:52setting the main government building on fire in central Kiev and killing at least four people, including an infant.
00:07:59This is what the Ukrainian officials have claimed.
00:08:07It's important that today there is a wide reaction of partners on this attack.
00:08:12Obviously, Russia tries to challenge the pain of Ukraine, and the attacks are more on the way.
00:08:18It's a clear sign, that Putin is trying to solve the world, whether they take it, whether they take it or they take it.
00:08:24So it's important that the leaders of the states and institutions have been continued to be strong actions against Russia,
00:08:31sanctions against Russia, against people with strong tariffs, and other restrictions on trade with Russia.
00:08:41Their losses must be felt.
00:08:43And that's what I'm convinced.
00:08:46And now, shifting focus, all eyes are now on the vice presidential elections to be held on September 9.
00:09:12Preparations are underway in full swing for the polls, and both NDA and India Bloc are leaving no stone unturned to claim the victory in these polls.
00:09:21BJP held a workshop for its members of parliament at the Baal Yogi Auditorium in the parliament complex.
00:09:27Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the session and was seen sitting in the last row.
00:09:31This move was described as sending a clear message to all the workers, parliamentarians and BJP leaders that nobody is above the party line.
00:09:39India Bloc's VP candidate, B. Sudarshan Reddy, appealed to NDA MPs and urged them to prioritize national interest over party lines.
00:09:47He has reached out to NDA MPs, saying that he will accept whatever decision they take.
00:09:52Meanwhile, the India Bloc dinner, which was to be hosted by Malikarjun Kargay, has been cancelled.
00:09:58And it was aimed at mock poll demonstration for vice presidential election.
00:10:02Thank you very much.
00:10:32Thank you very much.
00:11:02Thank you very much.
00:11:32for safeguarding democracy and constitution and going against democracy and destroying
00:11:41constitution. We have achieved independence in 1947. There are many things came on the
00:11:49way and our people have protected the democracy and constitution. Now in the parliament and
00:11:57outspire the parliament. We don't want our court to fall. That's why we have
00:12:09the first time we have come. It is necessary to be a court that our court is invalid.
00:12:23Shifting focus, another Trinamool Neta is in the spotlight and not for the right reasons.
00:12:41Abdul Raheem Bakshi stoked a controversy after he threatened to pour acid into the mouth of a BJP MLA in West Bengal.
00:12:48The TMC Neta made the remarks while addressing a gathering to protest against alleged atrocities against Bengali-speaking migrant workers in other parts of the country.
00:12:57The TMC MLA claimed that the Bengali-speaking migrant workers were called Bangladeshis.
00:13:02The remarks quickly drew condemnation from the BJP, which accused the ruling party of fostering a culture of intimidation and also violence.
00:13:11BJP further claimed that such threats are a reflection of the TMC's politics and the Taliban regime prevailing in Mamata Banerjee's regime.
00:13:41The
00:14:09criminals. How Mamata Banerjee runs this state, you can see or you can judge by the statement
00:14:20of his MLA, who is saying that he will pour acid to the BJP's MLA's. The hooliganism
00:14:33is being spread by all over the West Bengal, which can be compared with the Taliban regime.
00:14:42Mamata Banerjee is trying to establish this through appeasement politics as well as the
00:14:51muscle power. Timnomul MLS, Rahim Bakshi and other MLS, they are always threatening to
00:14:59kill us. This kind of threatening will not stop us to work for the people, those who
00:15:06are opposing state government.

00:15:23आपने आदर्छिए जहीं होत्य करचित गुसे भी वह बहुत गंधी
00:15:28And a viral video of Trinamool Congress student's wing has sparked a major political
00:15:57in West Bengal. In the video, TMC student's wing has been seen burning Rabindranath Tagore's
00:16:03picture at a college in Malda. The incident occurred on 2nd of September in a protest by
00:16:08TMC student's wing workers. They were caught on camera burning the pictures of Rabindranath Tagore
00:16:14along with pictures of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Union Minister Shrikantama
00:16:19Jumdar has condemned the act, calling it extreme levels of illiteracy, barbarity and arrogance,
00:16:25saying that the incident deeply wounds Bengali society and bows heads in shame. The West
00:16:31Bengal BJP president has termed the act as hypocritical drama staged under the instructions of Chief
00:16:37Minister Mamata Banerjee. Shrikantama also demanded quick action by West Bengal police against
00:16:42the concerned workers.
00:16:46And now shifting focus, Congress President Malikarjan Karge is facing backlash over a video where
00:16:51he is seen lashing out at a distressed farmer. The farmer visited Karge's home in Karnataka's
00:16:57Kalaburki to complain about his crop loss. The region is still reeling from recent floods that
00:17:02have taken a massive toll on the crops. But instead of receiving help or support, the farmer was snubbed by
00:17:08the Congress chief. Karge shied the farmer for complaining about four acres of crops and drew a personal
00:17:15comparison of losing 40 acres himself. The Congress president accused the farmer of staging a publicity
00:17:20stunt and also asked him to go and tell Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah about the crop loss. Now,
00:17:26the BJP has hit back saying that the Congress insults farmers just like they insult the army and the
00:17:32constitution. The Saffron Party has also accused Rahul Gandhi of hating farmers, saying that he has ditched the
00:17:38struggling farmers of Punjab and Himachal and left for vacation.
00:17:43the people who have been having me as a gift but they are just not afraid to say that the
00:17:46country is still what they are trying to do. The government has changed in the country,
00:17:50so this is only a little bit of a country, so there are some people of the majority of its
00:18:00employees who have been living in the country. That is the country that almost 70-30 is going to
00:18:03us and I think the government has changed the country. I think the government has changed the country,
00:18:05others who have changed the country and have the country. In the country the country have changed the country,

00:20:35No, we didn't.
00:20:37We came here and now we came here and we were able to go to the sun.
00:20:42We walked up to the sea, and we didn't see it.
00:20:44When the rain came there, we didn't live.
00:20:48We didn't sit.
00:20:49We didn't.

00:21:58communal clash in Kanaka during the nation was

00:22:15Communal clash in Karnataka during Ganesh Visarjan.
00:22:19This particular incident being reported from Mandia district in Karnataka
00:22:23where stones were pelted at Ganesh Visarjan rally.
00:22:26The stones were pelted at the procession as it crossed a mosque in Mandia district of Karnataka.
00:22:32The clashes broke out between two groups in Mandia.
00:22:35These are the visuals of the Ganesh Visarjan rally
00:22:38where this communal clash erupted.
00:22:41This is being reported from Mandia in Karnataka district
00:22:45where stones were pelted at the Ganesh Visarjan rally
00:22:50and these were pelted at the procession as it crossed a mosque in Mandia.
00:22:55Now these clashes broke out between two groups.
00:22:58As you can see in the visual stones being pelted on the right side of your screens
00:23:02you can see the men pelting stones at the Ganesh Visarjan rally in Mandia.
00:23:08My colleague Nagarjun is now joining us with more details on this.
00:23:14Nagarjun give us more details about what exactly unfolded in Mandia.
00:23:17In the morning, the ACM started in Mandia town of Mandia district
00:23:25and specifically, the Ganesh Visarjan was passed by a mosque or a mosque.
00:23:31The miscreant started pelting stones at the rallies walking up with the chharis
00:23:36and then as a retaliation, the other side of the church.
00:23:39So eventually, it goes out.
00:23:41All right, so that's the breaking news that's coming in from the state of Karnataka
00:23:51where there were communal clashes in a Ganesh Visarjan rally in Mandia district.
00:23:57The stones were pelted at Ganesh Visarjan rally as the procession crossed a mosque.
00:24:02And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:24:14Amadmi Party's Fuleira Panchayat jibe at the Delhi Chief Minister.
00:24:18Chief Minister's husband attends the government meet and Amadmi Party now attacks.
00:24:23Amadmi Party says Delhi government turns into Fuleira Panchayat.
00:24:27Amadmi Party's web series analogy to attack Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
00:24:32Amadmi Party posts photo of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's husband at the government meeting.
00:24:37In web series Panchayat, husband of a woman, Sarpanch informally exercises authority.
00:24:42And now the Amadmi Party has compared Rekha Gupta's husband sitting in the government meeting
00:24:48to the web series Fuleira Panchayat.
00:24:51So Amadmi Party's Fuleira Panchayat jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta
00:24:55after Amadmi Party posted a picture of Rekha Gupta's husband attending a government meeting.
00:25:01These are the visuals of that particular meeting that has been posted by Amadmi Party
00:25:05in which you can see Rekha Gupta's husband also attending the meeting and sitting right beside her.
00:25:12Now Chief Minister's husband attends the government meeting and now the Amadmi Party
00:25:17has attacked the Chief Minister and the BJP.
00:25:20So these are the visuals of the government meeting which was attended by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's husband
00:25:28and now the Amadmi Party has posted the picture of the meeting saying and comparing this meeting
00:25:35to Fuleira Panchayat and Amadmi Party has said that the Delhi government has turned into Fuleira Panchayat.
00:25:42Now for context in this web series called Panchayat, the woman, Sarpanch informally,
00:25:48woman Sarpanch's husband informally exercises authority in the village
00:25:53and now the Amadmi Party is comparing Rekha Gupta and her husband attending the government meeting to that.
00:25:59My colleague Piyush Mishra is now joining us with more details on this.
00:26:03Piyush, the Amadmi Party is attacking Rekha Gupta and the BJP over Rekha Gupta's husband
00:26:09attending the government meeting.
00:26:12Why exactly was he part of the meeting?
00:26:14Well, that's the question which Amadmi Party is now asking from the BJP government.
00:26:20Remember that Saurabh Bhadwaj, former minister in Delhi government,
00:26:24senior leader of Amadmi Party, has put out a post on social media platform X
00:26:28where he has put out a picture also in that post claiming that the man who is sitting on the left of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta
00:26:35is the husband of Delhi Chief Minister and he is being allowed to take part in Delhi government official meeting
00:26:43and following which now the Amadmi Party is raising a lot of questions over this.
00:26:48So far, Anjali, BJP has not reacted on this neither from the government or from the party.
00:26:53We'll have to wait and watch how the BJP is going to react on this big allegation coming in from Amadmi Party.
00:26:59But yes, it's a serious allegation which has been leveled by Amadmi Party.
00:27:03We'll have to wait and watch how not only BJP but Congress reacts on this.
00:27:06Also Piyush, is this a direct violation of constitutional norms?
00:27:10Well, certainly. If you are not a government official, if you are not the representative of the government
00:27:17then you are not allowed to sit in any kind of meeting and that's what the Amadmi Party is raising.
00:27:22Amadmi Party is also saying that BJP has been accusing Congress and other political parties of indulging in dynastic politics
00:27:30and here the politics of dynastic can be clearly seen in the open display
00:27:38where the husband of Rekha Gupta is taking part in the official meeting.
00:27:45We'll have to see how BJP and other parties are going to comment on this big development.
00:27:50Right. Piyush, thank you for getting us those details.
00:27:55So, controversy has erupted over Rekha Gupta's husband attending a government meeting
00:27:59after which Amadmi Party has attacked the BJP and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta
00:28:03comparing the Delhi government to web series Panchayat's Fulera Panchayat.
00:28:08And now, shifting focus. All eyes are on the vice presidential elections to be held on September 9th, that is tomorrow.
00:28:19Preparations are underway in full swing for the polls and both NDA and India Bloc are leaving no stone unturned
00:28:26to claim victory in the polls. BJP held a workshop for its members of parliament
00:28:30at the Baal Yogi Auditorium in the parliament complex.
00:28:33Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the session and was seen sitting in the last row.
00:28:37Now, this move was described as sending a clear message to all the workers and parliamentarians
00:28:42and BJP leaders that nobody is above the party line.
00:28:46India Bloc's VP candidate B. Sudarshan Reddy appealed to NDA MPs
00:28:50and urged them to prioritise national interest over party lines.
00:28:54He has also reached out to NDA MPs saying that he will accept whatever decision they take.
00:28:59Meanwhile, the India Bloc dinner, which was to be hosted by Malik Arjun Kharge, has been cancelled.
00:29:04The dinner was aimed at mock poll demonstration for vice presidential elections.
00:29:08Now, we are going to come in two or three days and I will recommend you all the best of your party.
00:29:18I am not a part of the party, but in the country, you will understand and understand and understand.
00:29:30I have full faith in you.
00:29:33You will be my heart and your heart.
00:29:40But in the country, you will be your heart.
00:29:45Whatever you will be your heart, I will prepare for preparing.
00:29:52This country is your heart, my heart and my heart.
00:29:58This country is your heart and your heart.
00:30:04This country is your heart and your heart.
00:30:07This country is your heart and your heart.
00:30:12I have full faith in the country.
00:30:15Because the chairman of the government will be your heart,
00:30:20we will be your heart.
00:30:23We will be your heart and your heart.
00:30:26This is a very important event.
00:30:31This is not simply the first president of the India election.
00:30:35This is an election for safeguarding democracy and constitution.
00:30:41And going against democracy and destroying constitution.
00:30:47We have achieved independence in 1947.
00:30:52There are many things came on the way.
00:30:54And our people have protected the democracy and constitution.
00:30:59Now, in the parliament and outspire the parliament.
00:31:04From the parliament.
00:31:05We are not.
00:31:06We are not.
00:31:07We are not.
00:31:08We are not.
00:31:09We are not.
00:31:10jaya tum is liyaya cubari dal bin bhout se hemare sath ii ah pehli bar chun ke

00:31:40And my colleague Piyush Mishra is joining us with more details on the story.
00:31:44Piyush, the stage is all set for the vice presidential elections.
00:31:47But if we look at the numbers, the NDA clearly has an edge over the India block.
00:31:52So, are the results, at least on paper, already one-sided?
00:31:58Well, there's no doubt that NDA candidate, C.P. Radha Krishnan, enjoys a huge majority.
00:32:03Today is the day when workshop also of a few NDA MPs will take place in Parliament.
00:32:13And C.P. Radha Krishnan certainly has an edge.
00:32:15But on the other side, the India block is also putting all its efforts to ensure that its candidate wins.
00:32:23If you talk about the numbers, more than 300 numbers are there with the NDA.
00:32:30On the other side, India block, and it lacks a lot of numbers.
00:32:33So, the majority is with NDA.
00:32:35And most likely, the NDA block will have an edge, which means that C.P. Radha Krishnan will win if we talk about this entire vice presidential elections.
00:32:48Piyush, thank you for getting us those details.
00:32:50We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on this.
00:32:52As of now, we're shifting focus.
00:32:53We're getting some breaking news.
00:33:00And Congress M.P. Shashi Tharoor's big remark on Bihar's special intensive revision.
00:33:08Shashi Tharoor has said that electoral polls are never perfect.
00:33:11And he has also said that the Election Commission should respond in a fair manner.
00:33:16So, that's the reaction from Congress M.P. Shashi Tharoor on Bihar's special intensive revision exercise.
00:33:23Shashi Tharoor has said that the electoral polls are never perfect and that the Election Commission should respond in a fair manner.
00:33:33Let's listen in to what the Congress M.P. said.
00:33:53All of these things have existed, but if it has happened on a very big scale, then it needs to be addressed.
00:34:02I think the Election Commission's best approach should be to confront these matters very openly.
00:34:08It's in the interest of the Election Commission's own credibility that no voter should have any doubt in their minds and hearts about the fairness of the election.
00:34:17Because our elections are a pride for Indian democracy.
00:34:20And we want our democracy should have that ability to say that we conduct free and fair elections in this huge country despite all the challenges.
00:34:29Challenges there are, and no one is going to achieve perfection.
00:34:33But we can certainly respond, I hope, in a fair manner to the legitimate concerns and the legitimate questions asked by the opposition.
00:34:42And my colleague Mausami Singh is now joining us with more details on this.
00:34:46Mausami, can this remark by the Congress M.P. Shashi Tharoor be seen as backing the special intensive revision exercise in Bihar?
00:34:52So clearly it's not the first time that Mr. Tharoor has taken a different line or a note from the party line.
00:35:02And clearly he's trying to bring in his point of view as far as the SIR is concerned.
00:35:09And, you know, we've seen how Rahul Gandhi and the entire opposition has taken out a voter adhikari yatra
00:35:16and the Congress's prime slogan being a vote chor gaddi chor.
00:35:21So the party line is absolutely clear.
00:35:25Any other viewpoint, in fact, would be seen as a departure from what the party has to say
00:35:34and be accounted as a personal opinion of Mr. Tharoor.
00:35:37Mausami, thank you for those details and for that context.
00:35:40With that, we're now shifting focus.
00:35:41Congress President Malikarjun Kharge is facing backlash over a video where he is seen lashing out at a distressed farmer.
00:35:54The farmer visited Malikarjun Kharge's home in Knaatka's Kalaburki to complain about his crop loss.
00:36:00Now, the region is still reeling from the recent floods that have taken a massive toll on crops.
00:36:05But instead of receiving help or support, the farmer was snubbed by the Congress chief.
00:36:10Now, Kharge chided the farmer for complaining about four acres of crops and drew a personal comparison of losing 40 acres himself.
00:36:18The Congress President accused the farmer of staging a publicity stunt and asked him to go and tell Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah about the crop loss.
00:36:27The BJP has hit back saying that the Congress insults farmers just like they insult the army and the constitution.
00:36:33In fact, the Saffron Party has also accused Rahul Gandhi of hating farmers,
00:36:38saying that he has ditched the struggling farmers of the state of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and left for vacation.
00:36:44Kharge chided the farmer, and he is a very poor farmer.
00:36:55He is a very poor farmer.
00:36:59He has to pay for $6,000 or $3,000.
00:37:02I'm not sure.
00:37:03I'm not sure.
00:37:05I am not sure.
00:37:06I am not sure.
00:37:08I am not sure.
00:37:10The fish got a lot of meat in the area.
00:37:12I don't like it.
00:37:14I don't like it.
00:37:16I'm sure they are eating meat.
00:37:18I don't like it.
00:37:20I don't like it.
00:37:22I don't like it.
00:37:24I don't like it.
00:37:26I don't like it.
00:37:28I don't like it.
00:37:30I don't like it.
00:37:32When a farmer got into a farm
00:37:34and tried to show his crop loss,
00:37:36then the farmer killed him.
00:37:38And he kicked out
00:37:42that the crop of the crop
00:37:44became a publicity.
00:37:46My opinion was the one that was too good.
00:37:48He was a country.
00:37:50He was a country to say
00:37:52They could say that
00:37:54they wanted to do it.
00:37:56They had a population.
00:37:58They didn't come to do it.
00:38:00They had a population.
00:38:02They didn't need it.
00:38:04And my colleague Sagairaj is now joining us with more on this story.
00:38:15Sagairaj, do such remarks by such tall leaders show that they clearly don't understand the ground reality of small and marginal farmers?
00:38:26Insensitive treatment of AISAC Chief Malik Arjun Kargay has not gone well,
00:38:31especially the farmer community are criticizing this particular response from Malik Arjun Kargay as a public representative as he is in public life.
00:38:42If he cannot give any kind of compensation or any assurance, he can at least say that everything will be fine as the Karnataka government is in power in the state of Karnataka.
00:38:53He will try to talk to the government and try to give some kind of compensation.
00:38:57Instead, he goes on and says that they should talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amisha.
00:39:04And this particular statement has not gone well where the opposition is trying to get political mileage out of it,
00:39:10whereas the farmer community are also upset with this.
00:39:15All right, Sagairaj, thank you for those details and for that context.
00:39:18So, controversy has erupted over Malik Arjun Kargay's remark of comparing once the farmer came with his problems, his issues of crop loss.
00:39:28Malik Arjun Kargay, instead of showing empathy, snubbed the farmer.
00:39:33And now shifting focus, another Trinamool Neta is in the spotlight and not for the right reasons.
00:39:42Abdul Raheem Bakshi stoked a controversy after he threatened to pour acid into the mouth of a BJP MLA in West Bengal.
00:39:49The TMC Neta made the remarks while addressing a gathering to protest against alleged atrocities
00:39:54against Bengali-speaking migrant workers in other parts of the country.
00:39:58The TMC MLA claimed that the Bengali-speaking migrant workers were called Bangladeshis.
00:40:03Now, the remarks quickly drew condemnation from the BJP,
00:40:06which accused the ruling party of fostering a culture of intimidation and violence.
00:40:11BJP further claimed that such threats are a reflection of the TMC's politics
00:40:16and the Taliban regime prevailing in Mamta Banerjee's rule.
00:40:28BJP further claimed that the
00:40:54I don't know whether they are called as a MLA's or criminals.
00:41:11How Mamata Banerjee runs this state you can see or you can judge by the statement of his
00:41:18MLA who is saying that he will pour acid to his to the BJP's MLA's.
00:41:29The hooliganism is being spread by all over the West Bengal which can be compared with
00:41:39the Taliban regime.
00:41:40Mamata Banerjee is trying to establish this through appeasement politics as well as the
00:41:49muscle power.
00:41:50The MLA's, Rahim Bakshi and other MLA's they are always threatening to kill us.
00:41:58This kind of threatening will not stop us to work for the people, those who are opposing
00:42:05state government.
00:42:06It doesn't mean you know what it is said.
00:42:13He has a strong group of the defendants.
00:42:19In all that, he has a strong group of the state, which was a strong group of the state.
00:42:29And a viral video of Trinamul Congress Student Swing has sparked a major political row in West Bengal.
00:42:55In the video, TMC Student Swing was seen burning Rabindranath Tagore's picture at a college in Malta.
00:43:02The incident occurred on 2nd of September in a protest by TMC Student Swing workers.
00:43:07They were caught on camera burning the pictures of Rabindranath Tagore along with pictures of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
00:43:14Union Minister Shukantama Joomdar has condemned the act, calling it extreme levels of illiteracy, barbarity and arrogance.
00:43:21Saying that the incident deeply wounds Bengali society and bows heads in shame, the West Bengal BJP president has termed the act as hypocritical drama staged under the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
00:43:34In fact, Shukantama has also demanded quick action by West Bengal police against the concerned workers.
00:43:39We are getting some breaking news from Jammu and Kashmir.
00:43:46NIA raids are underway at multiple locations across Kashmir.
00:43:49These raids are being conducted in connection with an ongoing terror case investigation.
00:43:54Sources confirm that these raids are happening in Kulgaam, Pulwama and Paramulla districts.
00:44:00So, that's the breaking news that's coming in from Jammu and Kashmir where the National Investigation Agency raids are underway at multiple locations across Kashmir which include Kulgaam, Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
00:44:12And these raids are being conducted in connection with an ongoing terror case investigation.
00:44:18My colleague Meer Fareed is now joining us with more on this.
00:44:21Meer, give us more details about these NIA raids that are underway in Kashmir.
00:44:25Yes, multiple teams of the NIA have raided multiple locations across Kashmir, especially Baramulla, Kulgaam and Pulwama districts.
00:44:36We have been told that at least 10 to 12 locations are being raided and it is in connection with an ongoing terror case investigation.
00:44:44Now, we know NIA is investigating multiple terror incident cases.
00:44:49And every now and then as the investigation moves ahead, new angles come in and that really ensure that raids happen.
00:44:56Seems one such raid happening, we've been told it's not only Kashmir, but in various parts, in fact, three to four other states or NDUTs, these raids are happening.
00:45:07So, it seems to be massive raids and probably some new important angles that came forth as far as these investigations are concerned.
00:45:16In some time, we'll get to know the exact details of the case as to which terror incident is related to.
00:45:23But as of now, I can confirm to you that these teams right now are at various locations and searches are on.
00:45:29That's it.
00:45:29All right, Amir, thank you for getting us those details.
00:45:32We'll keep coming back to you with more updates on the NIA raids that are underway in Jammu and Kashmir.
00:45:37These raids are underway across several parts of Kashmir, which include Kulgaam, Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
00:45:53And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:45:55Congress MP Tari Kanwar visits flood-hit areas in Katihar and he was carried on shoulders by the locals.
00:46:02The leader was on the shoulders of the people.
00:46:05The MP Tari Kanwar had gone out to inspect the flood erosion in the area,
00:46:09but a video went viral in which he can be seen being carried on the shoulders by the locals over there.
00:46:17So, a one-minute, 12-second video of the leader on the shoulders of the public in Katihar is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
00:46:25We're showing you the video on your screens right now.
00:46:28In fact, Katihar MP Tari Kanwar was in his parliamentary constituency, Katihar, on a two-day tour in the flood-hit areas.
00:46:35And during this, the MP was on a tour of the flood and erosion-affected areas of Barari and Manihari Legislative Assembly.
00:46:45My colleague Rohit Singh is now joining us with more details on this.
00:46:49Rohit, a controversy has now erupted over Tari Kanwar touring his constituency, the flood-hit areas.
00:46:57But what has caught everybody's eyes is him being carried on the shoulders by the locals over there.
00:47:02Well, yes, this video has gone viral where the Katihar MP Tari Kanwar, who is a Congress MP,
00:47:12is being seen carried by a couple of locals in the flood-affected areas in Katihar.
00:47:18And under what circumstances did this happen, it needs to be looked into,
00:47:24because as we can see in the picture, that the entire area is flooded.
00:47:28So was Tari Kanwar reluctant to walk by himself in the flood-affected area,
00:47:36and that is why he was carried by the locals?
00:47:39All these things need to be looked into.
00:47:42But the pictures which have gone viral is being seen as the controversy has generated,
00:47:49as he's seen being carried by a couple of locals and the opposition also,
00:47:57his rivals also raising questions that already the people in this area are affected by flood.
00:48:04And when a leader or a local MP has gone to inspect the flood-affected area,
00:48:12he has been carried by the locals, and he was reluctant to walk also in that area.
00:48:17So this video has now gone viral on the social media.
00:48:22Back to you.
00:48:24Clearly, high-handedness of the Congress MP is exposed in this video.
00:48:28And also, what message does this send out?
00:48:32You're visiting your constituency, the flood-affected areas,
00:48:36but on the other hand, you're being carried on the shoulders by the locals.
00:48:40So clearly, the visit of the leader serves no purpose.
00:48:43Well, that is what needs to be looked into, as I was mentioning,
00:48:49because, see, Tariq Anwar is 74 years old, and he's an MP from Katihar.
00:48:55So he's a senior leader.
00:48:56He has already been MP from Katihar several other times in the past also.
00:49:02And now, again, yesterday when he was inspecting the flood-affected areas in Manihari and Barari,
00:49:08you see, why did Tariq Anwar do this,
00:49:13or was he not willing to walk in the flood-affected areas,
00:49:18or did the villagers himself offer that they can carry him in the flood-affected areas?
00:49:25All these needs to be investigated.
00:49:26But the message that has come out of this video is not very pleasing,
00:49:31because it clearly goes on to show that already the people in this area are affected by a flood.
00:49:38And when their representative also comes to look at the area that is flood-affected,
00:49:45they are being carried by the locals.
00:49:48So the message that is going out through this video is not very good for the Congress Party.
00:49:55Back to you.
00:49:55Absolutely, Rohit.
00:49:56As you mentioned, the age factor of Tariq Anwar, he's 74-year-old.
00:50:00But should there have been better preparation on management by himself and his team
00:50:05before visiting the flood-affected areas instead of relying on the locals over there?
00:50:18All right.
00:50:18We're now being joined by BJP's Guru Prakash Paswan on the story.
00:50:22Mr. Paswan, a very good morning to you.
00:50:24So these shocking visuals coming to the fore from Bihar's Katihar,
00:50:27where the Congress MP, Tariq Anwar, visited the flood-affected areas.
00:50:34But what has caught everybody's eyes is that he was being carried on the shoulder by the locals over there.
00:50:39What message does this send out?
00:50:41How do you view this?
00:50:43No, I think we have to understand that only a couple of days ago,
00:50:47a very senior Congress leader, so Priyash Tineet came on record and said that people of Bihar are sweaty,
00:50:55people of Bihar are like workers,
00:50:57and it's like Rahul Gandhi committed a very big service by shaking their hands.
00:51:02This shows the feudal mindset of the Congress Party and the leadership.
00:51:06What are you trying to do?
00:51:07You are on the shoulder of a common Bihari, and then you are visiting flood-affected areas.
00:51:12This is a sense of clear entitlement of the Congress leadership.
00:51:16The Congress is an organization of a privileged diner.
00:51:19And what Bihar is being shown by senior Congress leader, a member of Parliament from that constituency,
00:51:24that I will visit the flood-affected areas, but on your shoulders?
00:51:28What is the message that he is trying to convey?
00:51:29This is beyond our comprehension.
00:51:31Since before the inception of the Yatra, we have seen how Congress Party and the entire leadership
00:51:36has left no stone unturned for insulting Biharis, for insulting the Bihari sentiment.
00:51:42This is nothing but another step, another feather in the cap of the Congress Party
00:51:46when it comes to the insult of Bihari sentiment.
00:51:49How can you even think of this?
00:51:51This is audacious.
00:51:52To be on someone else's shoulder when you are perfectly fine, that's what?
00:51:55And we wish.
00:51:56I think the Congress Party, the Congress Party leadership, has been treating Biharis for
00:52:01like this.
00:52:02And this came out in the open.
00:52:04Right during the Yatra, we saw on a Congress Party official event, abuses were heard.
00:52:11Then people who abuse Bihari on a regular basis, people who question the DNA of Biharis, people
00:52:17who say that Biharis are brainless, people who say that Bihari can come and clean our toilet.
00:52:22This, Anjali, we have to understand is a clear, entitled, privileged position from which the
00:52:28Congress Party operates.
00:52:30They treat Biharis like this.
00:52:32They treat us as political commodities, but no longer.
00:52:35I'm sorry, this is 21st century.
00:52:37This is New India.
00:52:38Biharis are equally relevant stakeholders when it comes to the New India growth story.
00:52:43You can no longer treat us like this.
00:52:44We demand strong clarification.
00:52:46We demand an apology on behalf of the member of the parliament who wrote on someone's shoulder.
00:52:54This is completely unacceptable, inhumane, and at least in 21st century, we cannot accept it.
00:52:59All right, Mr. Guru Prakash Paswan, thank you for speaking with India today.
00:53:04So, completely unacceptable is what the BJP says on this viral video of Congress MP Tari
00:53:09Ganwar, in which he can be seen carrying on the shoulder by the locals in Kathihar.
00:53:16Ten days after floods devastated parts of Punjab, several families are still living by the
00:53:22roadside, trapped between survival and silence.
00:53:25With cattle they can't leave and homes they can't return to, they rely entirely on volunteers
00:53:31while they wait for government help drags on.
00:53:35We tell you more in our ground report by my colleague Aman Bhadwaj.
00:53:38Take a look.
00:53:38We are not in a village or somewhere you could see through the visuals, but this is a national
00:53:45highway and we'll try to show you how the life of people are being affected and people
00:53:50with their kettles and all their belongings are living on a national highway.
00:53:54This is a Ferozpur-Husainiwala national highway where people are dependent on the aid, help
00:54:00they are getting everyone who passes through and donate or do a seva, they are trying to
00:54:07save themselves.
00:54:08Thank you sir.

00:54:44you see in this all shelter they are living they are trying to save their
00:54:56life and this now that they got a tea in langar and they which each each and
00:55:02everything they are getting they try to say that they are trying to live on that
00:55:07they're dependent on that and next to it on the road there's a jungle but this
00:55:14condition is in Firozpur where the headquarter the DC office or the
00:55:19administration would hardly be on 8 to 10 kilometers

00:55:32all the demand is a compensation till now but administration or the government
00:55:37should take a call on it and see the concern they are raising with video

00:55:58and we're now getting some breaking news Malayalam actor fined at Melbourne Airport

00:56:19spottingly and also shares playful post on social media so Malayalam actor Navya Nair fined at the

00:56:48has said that it was a mistake and it was not intentional and we're now being joined by Jitharath
00:56:56Bhardwaj from Australia today Jitharath what exactly unfolded at the airport tell us more about the
00:57:03biosecurity laws in Australia under which which was flouted by the Malayalam actor and due to which
00:57:09she was fined see Australian Department of Agriculture fisheries and forestries biosecurity
00:57:19regulations are such that anybody who is visiting Australia they are not allowed to bring fresh flowers

00:57:32even Indian cricketers a few years back was stopped there and they were asked to clean throw their

00:58:05bringing if she would have ticked that she has a plant and flowers with her they would have asked her in what
00:58:14condition there are they would have asked her to bin it there was no fine otherwise but she when she signed the
00:58:22declaration form she didn't mention that she had this Gajra and unfortunately she was fined the fine can be up to
00:58:30two and a half thousand dollars however she was fined 1900 something on this occasion yes Navya understood this and
00:58:42and Australian authorities every time urge people that please do not bring such things to Australia and
00:58:52and even we as Indian Australians we urge our friends families my parents when they visit we always tell them
00:59:01sometimes they visit temples and they bring prasad they just think that it's just prasad but no it's not allowed here in
00:59:08Australia at the airport you'll be fine so it was a festive occasion she was coming coming for
00:59:16Victorian Malayali Association's Onam festival a festival it was fantastic I can tell you but unfortunately she
00:59:23has to cope up with this fine also to that the question is that is there enough awareness about these laws
00:59:29among the tourists as per my experience I am people are ours but it's written on even when you disembark
00:59:40from the airplane it's written multiple linguist is written warnings if you have something like this
00:59:46please throw it otherwise declare it in the plane also when the form declaration form is distributed about
00:59:55other air hostesses they also say that if you have Australian biosecurity there is a recording which
01:00:02is provided by Australian Border Force to all these aircrafts airlines rather I should say to announce
01:00:11there it is announced there however most of the time we don't kind of pay attention to these kind of
01:00:17announcement and that's when these unfortunate incidents happen Jital thank you so much for joining us with all
01:00:24those details and with that we're now shifting focus we're getting some more breaking news
01:00:29and the BRS officially takes stance that the party will abstain from voting for the vice presidential
01:00:45polls another setback as numbers against opposition VP pick Sudarshan Reddy so just a day before the
01:00:52vice presidential elections that are all set to take place tomorrow BRS has officially taken a stance
01:00:58that the party will abstain from voting for the vice presidential polls now this is being seen as another
01:01:04setback as the numbers are against the opposition's VP pick Sudarshan Reddy so the numbers on the paper are
01:01:11clearly in favor of the NDA pick and now this breaking news coming to the fore where the BRS has officially
01:01:19taken a stance that they will not be voting in the vice presidential elections they will abstain from voting for the vice presidential polls
01:01:26I just wanted to know sir tomorrow is the vice presidential polls sir so sir what will be the
01:01:45BRS's stand as far as tomorrow's poll is concerned
01:01:49well BRS has been very clear from the beginning that we had maintained a non-aligned stance in the parliament
01:01:58we supported the government bills wherever we felt it was in the interest of national
01:02:04requirement and opposed wherever we felt they were not in the interest of the country having said that
01:02:10as far as tomorrow the coming vice president election BRS party has taken a stance to abstain and the reason
01:02:20being the ruling party at the state level one of the ministers in the union cabinet has very categorically
01:02:28said that we don't need BRS support and and on the other end we have also noticed that
01:02:37uh the harassment method to the uh BRS party workers across the lagdana by the congress government has compelled
01:02:47us to take a stance unfortunately there is no nota that none of the above uh provision in the electoral uh
01:02:56ballot yes hence we hence we decided to abstain so our abstains can be interpreted as nota oh okay very compelling
01:03:06reasons so sir one question did either nba or india block approach you for the election
01:03:14well uh like i said uh the nda state i mean the union cabinet minister coming from telangana has very
01:03:22clearly stated that he doesn't need our support okay and uh as far as uh the india alliance is
01:03:29concerned the candidate supported by them has approached us uh but the party senior leadership uh
01:03:37just yesterday they tried to connect but uh the kind of attitude the state government of congress
01:03:43has uh been towards uh our workers yes sir that has been very disturbing to us
01:03:49of course of course we respect both the candidates both are of very high caliber and of course one
01:03:56mr reddy comes from telangana uh we appreciate uh the stature but unfortunately the party from where
01:04:03he's uh supported doesn't really uh you know is not uh in tune with the the brs uh policy
01:04:12so that was uh brs uh leader kr suresh ready speaking uh to india today on why the brs has
01:04:21decided to abstain for from voting in the vice presidential elections that are all set to take
01:04:26place tomorrow my colleague piyush mishra is with us with more on this piyush so another setback for
01:04:32the opposition vp pick sudarshan ready as the brs has said that they will not be uh voting for anybody
01:04:39in the vice presidential polls well absolutely angelic so far there were some political parties
01:04:45like a brs ysr cp bjt they were the neutral parties they have not taken any stance but uh
01:04:54just a day before polling brs officially didn't understand that they are not going to vote for
01:05:00vice presidential polls which means that they will abstain from the voting this is indicating that
01:05:05both the groups india bloc and nda they have lost the uh for a number of four mps are just about
01:05:13mps are you know from the electoral college college so that's a big development coming in where brs has
01:05:19decided to abstain from the voting but we're also told is that um brs uh yeah has decided this because
01:05:26nda a leader who comes from the state of telangana who is also union minister made it very clear that he
01:05:30he doesn't need the support of brs on the other side uh there are various workers of brs who have
01:05:38been subjected to uh harassment by the congress government in the state of telangana and that's
01:05:43why no support to india alliance candidate so there are two big reasons that those have been put forth by
01:05:48brs and they have now decided that they are not going to take part in voting they will be abstained and
01:05:54they will abstain from voting on the other side there are parties like ysr cp who which has extended
01:06:01its support to nda bjd is not yet decided so still there are some uh you know numbers of those could
01:06:08swing towards uh india block or india block but your decision will be taken by today evening absolutely
01:06:15piyush thank you for those details so big development ahead of the vice presidential elections the brs has
01:06:20decided to abstain from voting and our shifting focus cancer is still one of the biggest health
01:06:29problems in the world but now russian scientists say that they have made a major breakthrough
01:06:34a vaccine called entero mix that could help the body fight cancer on its own the results so far
01:06:39from the phase one clinical trial are creating a lot of buzz let's take a look at this report
01:06:44cancer remains one of mankind's leading cause of deaths by 2050 doctors fear over 3.5 crore new cancer
01:07:00cases every year amid this enters humanity's latest breakthrough to prevent cancer enteromix the new
01:07:09cancer prevention vaccine developed by russian scientists with a claim deficiency of 100 percent
01:07:16in early tests the vaccine will train the body's own immune system to fight and find cancer cells using
01:07:23mrna technology this technology helps your body make special proteins from the virus your immune system
01:07:30sees these proteins as foreign and starts making antibodies to fight them these antibodies then help
01:07:37target cancer cells in a more efficient way the same technology is used in some covet vaccines
01:07:44the enteromix vaccine makes traditional treatments like chemotherapy or radiation redundant phase one
01:07:50clinical trial data shows the vaccine could shrink tumors and slow cancer growth by 60 to 80 percent in
01:07:56patients depending on the type of cancer but the vaccine needs to go through larger phase 2 and phase 3 trials
01:08:04to prove safety and efficacy till then the world remains in hope of defeating the biggest health scourge ever
